Or everyone and their mother is jumping on the e92 m3 bandwagon. I love this car and have owned one but they’re being overly exaggerated in how great and special they are. Major main and Rod bearing problems. I still love this car but the current pricing makes no sense at all.
@@rods715 it’s not exactly a bandwagon. It’s been consistent a steady growth over years. I work for Hagerty and track prices for modern collectors literally as my job. The whole market has been up for years, but is slowly settling back down. It’d be a bandwagon if all of the sudden everyone was hyping them up and grabbing. But that’s not the case. They’ve been buying them for years and years, almost regardless of price. EAG will sell $100k E9xs, and some will sell for $25k because of condition. But the point I made is that the car is consistently praised, despite rod bearings, throttle actuators, valve cover gasket, or whatever else you want to say to knock value on why someone shouldn’t own one. The market speaks louder than one voice. And the market (and media) has consistent appreciated them year after year. Thus, not a bandwagon.
@@rods715 Major main bearing problems? How many engines have suffered main bearing failure? The only ones are the ones that are being driven on the racetrack all the time. Change the oil every 6.000 miles and the rod bearings every ~40.000 and you're good to go. But I agree that the prices are way too high, even though the prices in the UK aren't even that expensive - prices for LHD models are insanely overprized.

7 year E60 M5 and E92 M3 owner here. They are both amazing cars that deliver a very special emotion. The E60 M5 with its screaming V10 is perfectly matched with the SMG. The SMG, at the limit, is raw, fast and exciting. Overall the car is not reliable. Even with preventative maintenance. The E92 M3 is the better allround car. The daily driver. It is more reliable and has a fantastic handling feel, sound and performance. It is an allround 9/10. But as far as crazy goes... the E60 M5 takes the win

Completely agree with that, which is why I bought one, and did all those mods. I’ll never let it go. Love it, and love the way it makes me feel. Incredible cars.
E92 is peak. E46 is nice but the e92 feels and looks like a sports car even next to a Ferrari. The e46 next to a Ferrari looks like a Honda. Don’t get me wrong love the e46 but the e92 had true sports car looks and feel with an v8 monster sound and aggressive zcp wheels! god what a car.
Depends on what's your criteria for "peak" :D After having owned both E46 and E92 M3 I feel like the E46 defines more the values of an M-car than the E92, although the E92 is the better car. Especially the CSL-intake makes the E46 even more special and it feels a bit more nimble on smaller roads.
E46 is nice but has an unnecessarily harsh suspension, sounds crap, has a long heavy iron block six out front and is nowhere near as fast. And those disintegrating rear subframes.
@@jerezM392yeah, but how many people actually own a CSL intake on their E46 M3’s? Very very very very very small percentage of them. I’m an E46 M3 owner. What an awesome video! I’ve been going back and forth whether I should buy the M3 e92 or not, but this video has changed my mind. I will be selling my BMW F13 and buy an M3 💯
I have to say coming from an F83 to the E92 M3 I'd have to agree with you. The sound from the engine is glorious, though in standard backbox form the exhaust is a little too quiet. On my F83 all you heard was induction noise (it had an aftermarket induction kit) so it 'wooshed' a lot but not too much engine noise. I think I understand now why people love V8's so much! The other thing too mention I think is you have to work the E92 to get the most from it, and more revs = more smiles. The F83 was just so fast and so torquey you didn't need revs to get it to go. This imo also makes the E92 more of a drivers car. Only one downside to this car; the MPG. I could move the F83 at a fairly rapid pace and still return high 20's. My E92 after 2 weeks of ownership is telling it does 13MPG so prepare to get familiar with the petrol station forecourt. 😱
My dad bought me a porsche 911 930 turbo white remote controlled from a trip in monaco . I still cannot fulfil my dream but hopefully i will get one later on . R.i.p. dad❤
I do like the E92, and not just because of the engine. The styling is just lovely. I couldn't live with the engine scare issues though, and these are just a little bit too big for me. I went for an OG M2 which is even better looking imo, and reliable.
I have to agree. I’ve owned an E46 M3 6spd, and have driven my buddies E92 M3 many times, as well as the E36 and E30 M3’s that other bids of mine had. I’ve also driven the F82 M4 several times. So I have some decent experience with M3’s. As quick as the F82 was, it lacked in driver connection compared to everything else. The E30 was awesome mostly for its nostalgia, but other than that, I was desiring more from it. The E36 felt too slow and didn’t really stand out among even my E46 in terms of driver connection. My E46 has a great balance of connection and power, but the E92 takes the E46’s great’ness, and just adds a bit more power, but amazing sound. So, I think the E90/92 is pinnacle BMW //M 100%. The only reason why I haven’t bought one is because of it atrocious gas mileage and rod bearing issues
Agreed, so i will stick with my f80 for now but have a love hate relationship with her, i dislike the sound she makes (even though she does sound better when you drive hard) and I’ve came close to selling her for an M850i due to how unforgiving the suspension is but i still like driving my 2013 E92 328I lol
Ok, I appreciate it has a v8, but as m3's go, it's pretty average looking, doesn't look too different from the normal 3 series range, which of this gen were big and boring. Sorry, just my opinion.
Must have to be a real enthusiast to appreciate these. I love 90's bmw and the g series but I just can't get into the in between between years. For me this front end is hideous, it's literally a 1994 Pontiac grand am. Probably drives amazing, but man did bmw ever lose its way for like 20years.
Funny this with those wheels but in white is one of my all time favourite cars but then I have absolutely no interest whatsoever in any of the newer shape M3/M4s. I think the M4 looks absolutely hideous and uninteresting in comparison to this
High mileage, DCT, and carbon roof models that are now delaminating are going down in price. Low mileage, manual examples are gaining in value, well because it’s a manual.
Disagree. E92 had sound, engine looks especially in zcp and all before turbos and too much technology. E46 is nice but compared to other real sports cars, it’s like a Honda. E92 looks like it belongs around Ferrari and real sports cars.
Not a tuner guy so e90/92 is out for me.E46 is the best looking m3 and I have been in one and it is seriously fast . However I just like the way 4 doors look . I wanted to write my own car story, so I went with g80 m3. Hope to be that retired guy driving on a Sunday morning . Some kid coming off a night out with his self driving electric car saying“ what the hell is that”. I love the older bmws. My favorite car is the e28 m5. G80 will make getting older tolerable . Even though it is technology sound now in 30 years it will be a dinosaur .

Real shame the F80 M3 didn't come with a V8, for me the F80 is the better looking followed closely by the E46 M3.
awesome
I would make an absolutely devastating financial decision if I could find one in this color.
Do it😂
Good video but it didn't need that much background music.
Sorry about that
Must have to be a real enthusiast to appreciate these. I love 90's bmw and the g series but I just can't get into the in between between years. For me this front end is hideous, it's literally a 1994 Pontiac grand am. Probably drives amazing, but man did bmw ever lose its way for like 20years.
Completely agree with you
Funny this with those wheels but in white is one of my all time favourite cars but then I have absolutely no interest whatsoever in any of the newer shape M3/M4s. I think the M4 looks absolutely hideous and uninteresting in comparison to this
These cars becoming cheaper I would say?
High mileage, DCT, and carbon roof models that are now delaminating are going down in price. Low mileage, manual examples are gaining in value, well because it’s a manual.
Nice video. Subscribed
Sounds like my B8 RS5
Nice video. The audio is clipping btw
Sorry about that
F82 it is. All was later coming is a lost soul 🤷🏼♂️
Peak noise of m cars maybe
Peak of m cars was the E36 M3
Peak of highly strung was the e46 m3
the peak M car is e46 M3 CSL
If you have to make all these mods, how can it be considered the best M3? Maybe it's just me but the E46 is a better experience in every way.
All these mods? Intake and muffler??
Bruh. My M3 is going out of storage next week. What a week followed by the trip into Europe just 3 weeks later for Christmas in Poland.
M156 sounds far better and is far more reliable and pushes out more power.
E46 is peak M3, BMW Inline 6, wish I could afford one. I own an E90 N52 though. BMW V8s, V10s, Turbo engines, and Diesels are just so unreliable.
The torque is unforgivable on a car this heavy..you need to punish this engine to get the most out of it.
Great car. Great engine but peak M3 is the e46. Especially in the looks department.
Disagree. E92 had sound, engine looks especially in zcp and all before turbos and too much technology. E46 is nice but compared to other real sports cars, it’s like a Honda. E92 looks like it belongs around Ferrari and real sports cars.
Come to me when you’re ready to buy one - Tier One Automotive
Just looked at your website. You have some very tidy stuff there! Dropped you a follow on insta too
@@DrivenPlus thanks! Check the e92 sold page. Give you a good idea of what we sell.
Even though it is technology sound now in 30 years it will be a dinosaur .
can people stop also liking this car so I can get one I'm working hard to try to afford it
😂
It is Not the peak M3 🎉
Lexus ISF for ownership… but E92 if it’s one drive
I do like my Lexus cars. Currently have an LS600H. Was thinking of selling it and daily driving my e46 M3 or selling them and buying an e92 m3. But I haven't had the chance to go in an ISF. What was it like?
Money pit 😂😂😂
F82 competition is forever the peak of M don’t get it twisted
Did you watch the video? Lol
😂😂😂😂😂 peak? You mean peak time at the repair shop!!!
Sorry but you hyped everybody and at the end, it is not even yours... Boring.. Buy one and make a video then ;)
