I love this big block. Jenny said this was a new version of the Katie quilt, so I went back and watched that video (from 2012!). Even though we get at least one new quilt each week from MSQC. sometimes I like to go back and look at old videos. I recently made a second version of a quilt that Jenny introduced back in 2014. We are so lucky to have so many of Jenny's videos to choose from.
This would be an amazing quilt to make and donate to Veterans (Quilts Of Valor, etc). It's gorgeous!!!! Jenny (and crew) as you were doing this tutorial I began the think outside the box and wonder if this is going to be the next quilt I make for our bedroom I'm re-doing right now. I'm a lover of light pink and cream colors and want to look for fabrics to make this pattern. I love how easily you explain things, and the motto "Finished Is Better Than Perfect". That motto goes with my Hubby's GMA's saying about handmade things. If I showed her a mistake in something I was sewing she'd say " If you want PERFECT buy store-bought. If you want something made WITH LOVE, make it by hand." GMA believed the best thing to add to anything was the LOVE you put into whatever you were doing, even if it were an item you purchased at the store, it was how it was presented and given to the person!!! Jenny, thank you so much for all you do.
EXACTLY what I thought and I have some red/white/blue jelly rolls already! PERFECT for Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day ... ANOTHER great and relatively easy quilt from MSQC!!
Yes, light color accentuates it...so much better when Jenny deals with color placements more. And the fbric is fabulous. We do not have much precuts here, i wonder if they are cheaper than the jardage?
This is a stunning design. Thank you for another helpful tutorial Jenny, off to work now (uk time) with my head full of nine patches, snowballing and stars!
Jenny, and all the crew, thank you, so very much for the many terrific quilting tutorials and much inspiration you’ve shared. I wish I could sew faster and buy more from MSQC! I’m still working on a “Winter Star” in reds and creams. I’m loving it on my design wall! This one is wonderfully patriotic. 🥰
Like this pattern but I'll add more center block strips sections between the blocks instead of sashing ... in Reds & Whites for Canada Day coming soon ... thanks Jenny
Indonesia says Hi to You, Mam. Thanks a lot for the video, all of it.. I just can stopped from the first time I decided to watch and take a short course in my city coz of it.. Wonderful.. Such an arts all the combination colour, pattern, fabric and your skill.. Please be healthy always..
What a huge coincidence for me! I just finished Katie's Quilt this month using little boy-themed fabrics. Yes, I'm that far behind...from 8 years ago. I really like this version, thanks!
Nana Liz.....I'm farther behind than you even!! I love Jenny's Tutorials as well as Donna Jordan's (of Jordan Fabrics) so my "To-Do List" of quilts is quite long!
I think this would be a great basis for triple play. Maybe show how to use other colors, create contrast, maybe use the same jelly roll with a different pattern. Thanks Jenny!
I love this block - so pretty 🥰 I was thinking of making this as a square table top instead of a quilt and wondered how big each finished block was - thinking I will make 4 blocks for a square but not sure how big that will be😊
As everyone else my head is spinning as to what theme fabric to use. Love It. (Also Love the camera person(s). You need to do more over heads with Misty Live)
Cute idea. I did not see the star so if I did this I think I would maybe do the stars in the white fabric to make them pop. Maybe it is just my eyes that see it this way.
Oh wow, what if...instead of navy sashing, you used the white, exactly like inside the block and made some extra 4 patches! Never ending stars! What if? I love that idea.....Great quilt, thank you.
I see this as a sunflower garden. Greens in the background and yellows for the petals, browns for the centers.
That would be so pretty!
Sounds beautiful!

That’s a sweet story.
Thank you for sharing.

Honestly when I look at this I see a flower. I didn’t see the star until you pointed it out as you were sewing. Funny what our eyes see.

Me too....
Me too! 🤣
I still don’t see the star! I still see a flower! Finally I see it!! LOL....
@@D8271 Most of the time yardage is cheaper.
Thank you Jenny. I like how you simplify that beautiful quilt. I can see this with pastels or in Kansas troubles fabric. So nice.
This quilt looks so hard but when broke down it’s so easy. Thank you.
Jenny you are the best! Your tutorials are so inspiring and you have kept me sane during lockdown here in Johannesburg 🇿🇦 and even now👍🏾
I bet this would look amazing in black and white with some sort of accent color to pop like yellow or red.
Jenny, you blew me over how you sowed all the blocks together without cutting to create the entire big block. What a time saver!!!! Thank YOU!
Lovely new design perfect with patrioticfabric
Katie’s Quilt is one of my favorites! I love this quilt with these fabrics!
Thank you for making a hard block so easy!
I agree. I see a flower with the light fabric dominating.
Explained talking but didn’t show how to get to the screen.

Jenny this is a beautiful quilt! You should do a collaboration with Sew yeah brothers!
I love this block - so pretty 🥰 I was thinking of making this as a square table top instead of a quilt and wondered how big each finished block was - thinking I will make 4 blocks for a square but not sure how big that will be😊

(Also Love the camera person(s). You need to do more over heads with Misty Live)
Jo-Ann's is having a great sale on their Keepsake Fabrics (I think it's 50% off right now)
Awesome quilt
Cute idea. I did not see the star so if I did this I think I would maybe do the stars in the white fabric to make them pop. Maybe it is just my eyes that see it this way.
I would love to see how you do a Tennessee Waltz quilt.
Jenny did 54-40 or flight tutorial, which I think is similar to tennesse waltz
Oh wow, what if...instead of navy sashing, you used the white, exactly like inside the block and made some extra 4 patches! Never ending stars! What if? I love that idea.....Great quilt, thank you.
Amazing! Simple but high value is added by the design. Thanks ,So much.I,m from Sri Lanka.
Love this
I was looking at the Katie's Quilt pattern this morning. I made one for my niece several years ago. She loved it!
4 of those blocks will make a nice table runner
Bellísimo!!!👏👏👍😍
Formidabili come sempre peccato che qui in Italia ci sia poca possibilità di seguire corsi ma io seguo lei con molta attenzione 🥰🥰
