Yes. I polished my solid gold Franco chain today. Went from 82.6g to 82.3g. Lost approximately.3 grams. Was rather rough on some areas as well. So you really shouldn’t lose much if it’s just a thin layer

it should in an enclosed "box" with just holes for your hands to fit , this box will have a special vaccum attached so you can just remove the bag of dusk from the vaccum machine and wipe with a towel inside the "box" to remove any gold dusk .
