I haven’t even watched the video, I would N-E-V-E-R install a car seat or offer a car seat to a rider. Who knows if there any unknown defects from the manufacturer. Then you are on the hook in the future lawsuit. DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THIS PROGRAM. ITS INSANITY

are they gonna pay the drivers for storage? The car seat will take up space. Are they gonna pay us for cleaning it?
The driver install the car seat. The parent put the baby in the car seat...
My biggest worry is the extra space the car seat will take up
Speaking for myself, as a carseat driver in Orlando, I have never had a problem installing the carseat. It takes me under 1 minute to install it and there's definitely no way you can install it wrong. Uber sent me a list of carseats and the only one that made sense to me was the IMMI Go carseat brand with a 5 point harness. I do alot of airport pick ups and this carseat barely occupies space in your trunk. It also folds.
The age of the kid, requires different sizes, so you will have to carry more than one seat... no way...
I carry a child booster seat with me at all times because I got tired of turning down rides. But I do leave it in the front seat as a placeholder because I don’t seat a soul in the front and never have because my truck can seat 6 in the back lol
Very bad idea, I have a Toyota Highlander with no trunk space then if I get a XL ride, going to be bad asking a customer to hold the car seat during the ride
I agree with Sergio. I don't touch the car seat. Car seat fails, baby injured, parents will sue . I'm not touching anything!!
Need different size seats for different ages. Why doesn't Uber offer car seats to parents? Let parents buy it. Car seat /stroller combo works great !!
Taxi's have commercial insurance that covers baby's without car seats. Uber driver's personal insurance doesn't cover baby's without car seats.
It's just another gimmick to charge more
It’s insane on how many parents with small babies and children try to ride without a car seat. Who ever latches the seat is responsible. Would not touch this with a 10 foot poll.
So many people order rides with no car seats in the state of West Virginia that it is absolutely terrible. The worst thing is when I cancel a ride due to no car seat the algorithm will then turn around and send me the same exact ride at that point when I ignore the ride my acceptance rate will drop. You guys really need to do a live video and invite actual drivers who have experienced this issue firsthand. I never buckle in a car seat for parents and I damn sure would never buy a car seat for someone else to use. How about doing a live video on this topic and invite actual drivers!

Just NO No no. Every time I get a call then a message from the rider saying they have a car seat I cancel the ride.
A solution to a problem that no one cares for. It’s fine if the drivers opts in to it and if ride comes in with a baby,am then you can request the app to add the fee to the ride.mostly just avoid passengers with no car seats
If you latch it or not you’re still liable for anything that happens in your car and for what, $7 are drivers that need??? As it is you’re dealing already with an irresponsible parent that’s going to get in a vehicle and it doesn’t have the right gear to keep their child safe
$10 surcharge plus fare sounds great
If this becomes a 'thing'. The customer and or uber needs total liability..
The customer secures the car seat and/or clicks a button that confirms its 'properly' installed thus putting liability on them yadayadayada..
That almost never works in court though, but good luck suing the uber driver who destroys their car for less than min wage.. this is going to be a courts nightmare
Years ago, I remember Uber having the option to rent a carseat in my market... Baltimore, MD. I never opted in. I believe it paid a couple dollars more back then.
You should do one on Uber shuttle and how they're getting rid of Uber drivers at the airport and replacing them with bus systems 🤔😅
Have you guys heard of the State of Massachusetts law suit against Uber and Lyft a couple days ago on monday the 13th for missclassifying drivers as independent contractors

Uber is almost making the drivers drive for free . It will be like Uber 2025 give a ride for free and give the rider money 🤣🤣🤣 just stop driving for thieves .
