It's almost not fair... someone who's THAT good a singer (his range is incredible), THAT good a guitarist, and THAT good a songwriter... shouldn't also be THAT good at drums... Take a bow Theo Katzman!
Interesting fact.... he says (heard in an interview with Allegra) that he doesn't really have the range that one might think. He has a really high falsetto, but can't actually cover every note between there and his natural range.

@@mafirasyaharani7836 oh i know fearless flyers. I just haven't listened to them actively enough to know you were talking about them. I thought maybe it was some form of media that featured vulf's music or something.
The drum beat is incredible. I thought it had to be written out-- or there had to be some repeating A-B-A-C structure. Then I went and inspected all the little accents (whether or not he hits the kick or the snare on the swung "e" of the 4-- things like that) and they'll be only slightly inconsistent and different from the previous section/measure-- just enough to prove that Theo did in fact just fart this shit out. He never plays any section the same way twice-- but it sounds like he does. It's like the Jamerson part on Uptight- at first listen it sounds like he's playing consistent repeating parts-- but on closer inspection-- he's just riffing.

my 14 yr old daughter introduced this to me a few months ago now. it's already one of my favourite tunes ever. beats, bass, funky piano. what more could you want? absolute quality, bassline moving up in sinc with a melody moving down, beats carrying it like a train..... the sumptuous sustain of notes and then the pauses before you drop in again, the subtle claps and vocal stabs. the bass players freestyling at the end. gimme sum mo!

@@IvanMalison The chorus is actually in straight 4 but the way they alternate the sustains in each phrase hemeolizes it into sounding like it's odd timing.
