Okay so yesterday at this time I had never heard of these guys. Today I've already listened to 2 complete live shows and a ton of singles. in this world of "meh" popular mainstream music, i would say they're getting plenty of recognition! i'm confident they can earn enough for a living and to keep doing this(at least i really hope so). i don't know a single person who doesn't like a good old funky groove, this just refuses to die.

how the fuck do they record so well. Quality is beyond impressive
The recording is average, the players' control of dynamics is just excellent. Modulation of velocity between individual notes is what creates the groove.
low volume is the secret
The backline, the kick, the bass... none of this keeps the band together through this video as much as those socks. I feel warmer because of them.
