Three things I love about them: 1. So dang funky 2. Most positive comments I've ever seen on the Internet 3. Their music videos are literally videos of music happening and its just great and candid and all sorts of wonderful.
I agree, I think people who are drawn to this kind of music are people who just want to get lost in the sound, and its a feel good, funky beat that just makes people happy and enjoy jamming out to. Can't get much more positive than that.
I'm glad to see that Jack's dance moves have stayed true to his roots for over a decade. Hike the pants up, stoop like you're 80, and do the Stratton shuffle
This is what I could make out of it: I've got a little questionaire, for the drummer! You can fill it in online or right here! What you gonna do with that kickdrum ? WOW......... I discovered this band only a few weeks ago and I already consider them one of the best bands I ever heard !! And as far as "COOL" is concerned, these guys are right off the scale.......!!
Well, to say that anyone could play like Dart or Palladino with enough practice is just downright false. Most people can become good at an instrument with enough time and dedication, but it takes a special something to be exceptional.
Joe dart has the uncanny resemblance of a sloth. It's just the lights and the long shirt plus the slow competent funk make him into a badass beast of a sloth
Man.....I really want to hear that guys funky snap rap in HQ through an actual microphone 🎤 I could tell he hit a flow, if only I could hear the words.
This a wonderful band, so tight, a wonderful composition, fantastic musicianship. Can't help it, but when I listen to this, my eyes always get wet and I feel happy to be able to listen to music. Thank you, Vulfpeck.
Ah, haha. The drummer says "Fuck!" at 1:46 when he was off on the fill. Reminds me of everytime I fuck up a line playing guitar. I love this band to death. All very tight and talented musicians that deserve so much more recognition.
The more they progress through the years, the lower definition their videos get.

#1 and #3 hold true in their live performances as well. I have seen them four times and they get better and better.

Ah, 2011. When Theo looked like an average 2000s dork. Fast forward to 2017 and he looks like a 1970s father of 4
hughjass311 loool
Joe is still sporting that Beatles haircut
How do I give gold on RUclips?
And he looks way different here than he did in the My Dear Disco era. Bro just gets an entirely new appearance every few years 🤣
He went back in time, invented funk, raised a family and came back to the future...
Vulfpeck is a great band for observing and cataloguing 'Musician Face', the facial expression of a musician concentrating.
That's it?
S t a n k f a c e
Really they all just move a lot and express themselves a lot physically while they play.
I love Musician Face. I think I have a board full of them on my Pinterest. If my Pinterest still exists.

awesome
You sir, made my day
This comment right here haha.
No bro , this is groove and subdivision, try to play music and you will feel better and less poser. Just music ;)
eanur11 thanks for sprinkling down the life lessons. You must be pretty good at life. It shows

Dart is the man!
This song sounds like a theme song to a tv show, and that tv show is my life, and my life is now complete now that it has a theme song.
That bass tone is absolutely amazing, it's fantastic
i believe it's so compressed to hell that it sounds overdriven. I'm saying that as a good thing.

If that's what happened to Oscar Wilde while listening to it. Just imagine how regular guy like myself have felt.
i love when music is so amazing that one’s reaction is “flabbergasted”
Just discovered they guys. Your description of literally laughing out loud matches with my experience pretty well. Holy cow this shit is groovy.
The best part is the whole thing. That's the best part.

I am forever in love with that piano. The sound. The way it’s played. It’s so perfect.
That bass fill at 4:15. Oh my days!
the boy in the gym shorts is my spirit animal
Jack Stratton, the man, the myth
Vulfmon
Ashanti Thurman-Lewis animal spirits?!
His yelling in the middle is great
if it got any funkier they would have been around his neck
The little bass lick at 4:14 is too good
This gets better every time i watch it. When he's hiking up his gym shorts it's so awesome lol
This (right now) is the actual moment when I discovered Vulfpeck.
Simon Baker right now for me
Me too bro, I’m a little late
Me about two days ago. Damn I'd been missing out!!
Same.
Well, for me it's today! And how happy I am I did.
Jesus Christ that piano fill at 2:20 makes me go nuts. Every time.
And the bass fill playing together with it just makes it stound magical
If I had three wishes.. One would be to play bass like this dude!
And you wouldn't need the other two!

the other would be to be able to play keys like woody goss

Thanks you so much guys. You reanimated my love for the guitar bass that i've forgot for so long. Keep what you are doing. Love from France.
The bass is so addictive! Really, really cool tone and a genius line!
What they didn't realize at the time was that the thing that got funkier was Joe's dancing and head movements
Dude the bass fill at the end and high piano chords at the middle are like ascending to the heavens.
