In the end if you can sit listen and have a smile on you face.. than that’s all that matters. I always hear from other musicians specially the good ones you learn scales (arpeggios) to forget them. I am a beginning musician.. but it’s good to listen great musicians having a good time.

For real tho, Jack is a great mixing engineer. This thing sounded great, and he's taken out a lot of his own playing shown in the video in service of the final production. Hats off.
he's definitely a very humble player. in a lot of recordings, he'll put his own playing a lot lower in the mix to highlight the other members more, but it never comes off like he's putting himself down.
@@Roebey I sometimes wonder whether Jack Stratton is an incredibly gifted mixer or if it's the performance and playing...but I think it's both. Phenomenal players and a master mix engineer.

You forgot good. These guys are so god damn good.
My god, this is really the epitome of Vulfpeck's original ideal as a studio backing band-- they take second fiddle to Rich and Adam but provide the solid-est of backing drums, bass, and piano for the rhythm and pacing. Really awesome song, stuck with me when I discovered awesomeness that was Vulfpeck. Hopefully it'll always be in my top 5 for them... or hopefully not, as they keep blowing it out of the water!

for the majority of the song, woody goss is playing only two notes on the piano and it works super well. the restraint is amazing
if i could i'd clone woody's and joe's hands and make a 4 armed bass/keys virtuoso one-man band...with theo on drums of course...so a 2 man one-man band... and jack as a full time dancer/creative director...so a 3 man one-man band...
Considering their habbit of cropping people in the thumbnails it would be a "2 man one-man half man" band... which is the best kind of band in my opinion
