@@ashaeileen6551 yeah i have been researching the same question as well and my answer would be how much storage you need. the air 4 $599 is only 64GB which is pretty small for me (i draw and sometimes edit videos/pictures), but the 256GB choice is $759 i believe which is only 50$ off from the pro 2021 128GB. if you need more storage and not editing professionally the air 4 would be fine to use for 4-5 years.

@@JohnSmith-tv2kb you think ? It’s just for studying and taking notes.. but I really care about a big screen. Thanks man, I I’ll take that as an advice
@@96TJAG I purely got it for taking notes as I’m a university student. If you have a laptop and just want something to take down notes get the 11inch. But if you only want a single device to do everything get the 12.9. It’s kinda sweet being able to see lecture slides on the left and takes notes on the right.
@@JohnSmith-tv2kb yes that’s exactly my case! At law school, a lot to study and less time due to having a full time job. So I though with the iPad would be more productive instead having a lot of papers and notes and have to write the notes again at home to complete it with the books. And that split screen it’s making me not choosing the 11” at all... I got a MacBook Pro 2013 but I’m thinking on selling it because For my use, an iPad would be enough.
@@JohnSmith-tv2kb Hello, thanks for this info! So happy I stumbled upon this conversation thread. I'm also doing some research because I'm weighing my options if I should get and iPad or laptop for my first full-time job. Hope you could give me some advice, too! My top priority actually is to have a bigger screen (preferably something I can easily zoom into) and a device fast enough to switch tabs to cross-check info. I also do a lot of typing. My friends are suggesting that maybe I should just get a PC/laptop because the overall cost of the iPad plus the external gadgets would total to a lot of money which could get me to buy a decent PC/laptop. But at the same time, I need a device I can use all around: editing, watching videos and maybe even do my monthly planners with. I'm so torn... help 😢
Here’s my thoughts: If you plan on using it as your PRIMARY device (don’t own a computer) and can afford it, but the iPad Pro. If you have a laptop and are just using the iPad for notes, buy the air.
Should I get the 64gb or 256 gb ? I’m using it for taking notes and watching videos sometimes. Or is it enough to take the 64gb + subscribing the icloud?
Based on my experience, the quality of iPad Pro 10.9 inch is worth buying. I say this not only because of battery, but also because of sound quality, cameras (especially if you are a college student which wants or needs to record class for a review). They both may not make too much of a difference though, but it does depend on what the cost is and where you buy it from since some stores can sell them at a less expensive price. Both are great to use for school.
Hi! I’m a vet student too:) is it good as a laptop replacement for simple tasks like: research, writing papers, making powerpoints, zoom calls? And how long does the batter really lasts?
@@davienierivas6692 i don’t use my laptop any more, the ipad it’s great but i recommend you to buy a mouse and a keyboard to write your papers because it’s easier, and it’s really good for ur zoom calls and i use my ipad all day and don’t have problems with the battery

If you're a student on a somewhat okay budget go for the Air 4 if you could afford the Pro the go for it if you're still on a tight budget go for the 8th gen or some retailer that still sells the Air 3

I’m a student, I multitask (zoom & note taking, lots of tabs), may also want to video edit (but not that big of a component). Essentially, just want something of really good value/durability!! I want something that will last me the longest!
Well I got my first iPad on my birthday and I'm very happy with it, it's a air 4 cellular+wifi but I couldn't get the space grey one so I had to get a grey one. Anyway I thought iPad pro was a little too much for me as I'm not even in the college.
Hi Janice, thank you so much for your video, finally, I bought the Ipad pro 12.9 and it's not a disappointment.. it's so comfortable for the eyes (i wear glasses) and perfect for my studies..thanks too
Little bit of info, pro-motion isn’t visible in the video. RUclips does not support 120fps. It is noticeable in person, but it’s not a huge deal. Additionally, there is no increase in INPUT latency with the pencil, just display latency
thanks for the video! soon i’ll be upgrading from a ipad 6 (2018) to a ipad air 4 (2020) because it cost less than the pro ones lmao but also for the colours and needs that i will have with it and it will be enough!! thanks 😊
I have an ipad pro 12.9, with 1tb of storage and wifi + cellular. Yes, it is definitely expensive lmfao but totally worth it! I have it for almost 6 months now, but i still have a lot of storage considering the fact that i do almost everything on that device.
I'm getting an iPad Air 4 but they just announced the iPad pro with the m1 chip and its sooooo expensive so I tell my parents and they are down to buy me the iPad air 4 green and apple pencil am so excited
my aunt let's me have alot of time to use her ipad air, for me i prefer ipd air more than the pro. i’m a younger student who likes to draw so the ipad air is more convenient, perfect size, cheaper, plus the colors are cute ! :) love the mint green. it’s also great when you use a keyboard just like using a pro. overall both ipad air and pro are great ipads for digital note taking. if you're a student with heavy files/do heaving editing and prefer ipad more than using a macbook/laptop then i would say the ipad pro can be really nice for you.
I definitely need the iPad Pro when going to high-school even though the iPad Air 4 is a good option but sometimes I lose sound in zoom and sometimes it lags and goes crazy! so I definitely won’t use the iPad Air for school work but it’s the only device I have.
Getting an iPad Pro was the best investment I did for school, I’ve been using it for 4-5 months now and it made studying so much easier for me 🥰 I hope you enjoy yours
Mu favorite iPad Air color is the Green one but I got the iPad Pro 11 inches. It’s been more than a week since I got this and I should’ve gotten the bigger one because I think it’s better for multi tasking but it would’ve beaten the portability that I’m getting with the current iPad that I have.
I have the iPad Air and i think its better just because the Touch ID is faster i dont feel like the ipad is to big for my hand and because i feel like it’s faster but yea that what i think!!
Having a hard time deciding between Air 4 and Pro M1 :/ Internal storage is another problem too... 64GB feels too little and 256GB feels like overkill, but Air only gives these 2 options whereas Pro has 128GB (which feels just right). Any advice? :(
@@shakirah4173 What really set a difference for me was thinking this way: for this new iPad, are you looking for something that’s more like your phone or more like your laptop? If the answer is phone, save that extra bucks and choose Air (256GB), too much storage won’t hurt. If it’s laptop, then choose Pro because you’ll need the extra niche features they offer and 128GB will be perfect. Some say it’s stupid to save the extra bucks because it’s a small price difference between Air and Pro (a couple more bucks for more features, faster processing etc) but honestly? I don’t need those features. That’s why I chose more storage over more features. Hope this helps!
Hey just wanted to know how much of your storage you have used so far? I plan on only taking notes. And im not sure if the air 64 GB is enough? I wanted to know if for the long run I should invest in more? I am pre med and would like for this to last into my med school years.
@@katherinetinco4105 Hey there! So far I’ve used up about 30GB out of 256GB, and I’m a business student so I presume you’ll have more notes than I do since you’re a med student. I’d say go for the 128GB Pro or 256GB Air, depending on your preference! Hope this helps :)

I'm so torn... help 😢
I dont have a ipad, iphone or macbook 🙂 just android user.. but watch janice vids about ip make me feel happy ☺
Here’s my thoughts:
If you plan on using it as your PRIMARY device (don’t own a computer) and can afford it, but the iPad Pro.
If you have a laptop and are just using the iPad for notes, buy the air.
Exactly
Should I get the 64gb or 256 gb ? I’m using it for taking notes and watching videos sometimes. Or is it enough to take the 64gb + subscribing the icloud?
@@candiceyeoh7061 64GB should be good. As long as you’re not storing video/photos you’re good
Based on my experience, the quality of iPad Pro 10.9 inch is worth buying.
I LOVE the sky blue colour I'm getting my ipad air in December I can't wait!!❤️😭 Thank you for the amazing video!❤️
My iPad Air in the blue color is great and i really love it, i have it since the past Monday an as a Vet student is great
What storage space did you end up buying? And how much have you used up so far? I’m premed and want to buy one that will last me into med school but afraid the 64GB is too low.
@@katherinetinco4105 hey, I have mine for about 2 weeks now. I transferred all the files of my last 2 semesters from my other iPad and I have 21 apps. In total it takes up 31GB, I also have around 800 fotos on it. I have the 256gb btw.
@@katherinetinco4105 hi! I got the 64gb and it’s great for me, I’m a vet student, I have used like 45gb but almost all of it are games that I like to play, so if u are gonna use it for note taking its enough, I like to use one drive and iCloud to save somethings
Hello :) which is better for a student who plans to use the ipad for years? Ipad Air4 256GB or Ipad Pro 11" 128 GB?
I'd say the pro one ^^
Got the air yesterday... What an amazing device
I am a nursing student and graphic designer and I just got the iPad Air 4!
Do you like it for nursing school? I’m thinking of getting one and lean towards the air since I don’t need the 12.9 pro cuz I already have my MacBook 13”. And what app do you prefer for notes taking? Notability or good note?
When it came to exporting the textbook to goodnotes, the iPad Pro as actually faster by just 1 second.
Looks like you’re a nursing student, if so can you say which one you like better for using while in the nursing program. I’m an RN & my daughter just applied to the RN program. As soon as she gets accepted her dad & I want to get her one to use. (And as a congratulations gift 😉🎁🩺
If you're a student on a somewhat okay budget go for the Air 4 if you could afford the Pro the go for it if you're still on a tight budget go for the 8th gen or some retailer that still sells the Air 3
I have an iPad Air 3 and I wish I just waited for the iPad Air 4 😭
Same☠️
Trade it in !
You get at least 210 off
bruh i wished i had an ipad
I have iPad Air 2😭😂
My favorite iPad Air colour is green colour because it is look like natural.
I got the Air 4 and the size is perfect for me. The pro would be definitely too big. An with student discout it cost 600€ (in Germany) which is fine!
Coming from a 10.5 iPad Pro the air is a dream
Need help! The ipad pro 128gb (11inch, 2020) & Ipad Air 256gb (2020) are pretty much both the same price (black friday). Which one should I get? Want a device that lasts the longest! I’m a student, I multitask (zoom & note taking, lots of tabs), may also want to video edit (but not that big of a component). Essentially, just want something of really good value/durability!! I want something that will last me the longest!
Which did you get?
can u answer me please cause i have a similar situation with you and i want to know wich one you get and is it worth it
Hope everyone is staying safe!
thanks !
omgg thank you so much for this video!!!!!!! finally a content that goes straight to the point and actually helpful
Been waiting for this video!! Thank u soo much! Keep doing what you’re doing 💗
Will you also buy iPad pro with M1 chip???
Well I got my first iPad on my birthday and I'm very happy with it, it's a air 4 cellular+wifi but I couldn't get the space grey one so I had to get a grey one. Anyway I thought iPad pro was a little too much for me as I'm not even in the college.
Hi Janice, thank you so much for your video, finally, I bought the Ipad pro 12.9 and it's not a disappointment.. it's so comfortable for the eyes (i wear glasses) and perfect for my studies..thanks too
Me chilling here actually watching this with the iPad Air 4
Little bit of info, pro-motion isn’t visible in the video. RUclips does not support 120fps. It is noticeable in person, but it’s not a huge deal. Additionally, there is no increase in INPUT latency with the pencil, just display latency
So this video clearly says that ipad air is also good enough for school students
thanks for the video!
soon i’ll be upgrading from a ipad 6 (2018) to a ipad air 4 (2020) because it cost less than the pro ones lmao but also for the colours and needs that i will have with it and it will be enough!! thanks 😊
This is the comparison video I’ve been looking for. Thank you!
I have an ipad pro 12.9, with 1tb of storage and wifi + cellular. Yes, it is definitely expensive lmfao but totally worth it! I have it for almost 6 months now, but i still have a lot of storage considering the fact that i do almost everything on that device.
Which one is suitable for business?
My favorite iPad colors is GREY :).
I'm going to use the ipad air 4 studying
I'm getting an iPad Air 4 but they just announced the iPad pro with the m1 chip and its sooooo expensive so I tell my parents and they are down to buy me the iPad air 4 green and apple pencil am so excited
2:14 the fact that this was 6 months ago... armys will understand
Exactly..😂
Lol borahae 💜
Ikr 😂 I was like hmmm when was this?
Her: smooth like butter
Me: like a criminal undercover~
@@smeraldoremi lol
I have the pad air 4 and tbh it’s great
my aunt let's me have alot of time to use her ipad air, for me i prefer ipd air more than the pro. i’m a younger student who likes to draw so the ipad air is more convenient, perfect size, cheaper, plus the colors are cute !
Nice video! Were the notes on pacemaker therapy typed or handwritten because if it’s handwritten that would be insane!
Janice! if you ever decide to do a giveaway, you can send me one! I’ll take whichever 😭
I definitely need the iPad Pro when going to high-school even though the iPad Air 4 is a good option but sometimes I lose sound in zoom and sometimes it lags and goes crazy! so I definitely won’t use the iPad Air for school work but it’s the only device I have.
I wish I had a Ipad air 4 sky blue color . But I like you videos
U LITERALLY HAVE 5 IPADS!!!!!!!!!!! I’m so so so so so jealous!!!!!!!!!! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Why would you need 5 iPads 😭😭
I’ve never owned an iPad so I’m treating myself to the iPad Pro for school!
Getting an iPad Pro was the best investment I did for school, I’ve been using it for 4-5 months now and it made studying so much easier for me 🥰 I hope you enjoy yours
i love the minth-green color on the ipad air
smooth like butter, she predicted it
I would say my favorite iPad Air color would be the green because I just got my iPhone 12 in green
Same😭
The pink ipad air is perfect
But if i had money to buy one i would go with the silver ipad pro
My favorite Ipad air color is sky blue
Love the video! Really helpful especially for students who still confused to buy ipad air or pro
Should I buy iPad Pro 2021 M1 128gb or iPad Air 4 256gb for drawing and editing?
I'm currently saving up for the iPad pro. Will buy mine next year though as that's when I actually need it.
I am in love with a blue one🥰
I love the green iPad air :) and i ordered it a few months ago
4:47 nice drawing🐸
I loved it 😇❤️
Mu favorite iPad Air color is the Green one but I got the iPad Pro 11 inches. It’s been more than a week since I got this and I should’ve gotten the bigger one because I think it’s better for multi tasking but it would’ve beaten the portability that I’m getting with the current iPad that I have.
i always wondered... why do you have two ipads ? do you use both ? for different context ? i'm very curious about it.
I have the iPad Air and i think its better just because the Touch ID is faster i dont feel like the ipad is to big for my hand and because i feel like it’s faster but yea that what i think!!
Having a hard time deciding between Air 4 and Pro M1 :/
Internal storage is another problem too... 64GB feels too little and 256GB feels like overkill, but Air only gives these 2 options whereas Pro has 128GB (which feels just right). Any advice? :(
Update in case anyone is wondering and lurking: I chose the iPad Air (256GB)! No regrets so far. :)
@@smeraldoremi omg im going through the same dilemma rn, what made you decide on the air?
My honest opinion is that 64GB might be a tight fit for you unless you don’t mind spending money on iCloud storage subscriptions. I’d say go for the 128GB Pro or 256GB Air, depending on your preference! Hope this helps :)
smooth like butter
I would love to go for the iPad Pro it’s just that I don’t have money myself so to get it, it would be from a family member and I don’t have the heart to ask them for so much when I already have a lot I rather ask for something smaller
Hi Janice can you do a video of a Samsung Pro tablet that compares to apple iPads? Compare similar apps for students that want to make the transition to a Samsung Pro tablet because of Windows 10. Thanks 😊
Do you like the iPad Pro with two cameras
I think writing experience is significantly better on iPad ... the screen is more solid somehow 🤷🏻♀️
I returned my Air4 for iPad Pro 11inch 2020, get what you need now, no one is promised tomorrow. 12Z is good enough for 8 years.
This was written on Apple Pencil
Where did you find the wallpaper??
Is it ok if somebody tells me.
Well I got the iPad Air 4 in blue I could have brought the iPad Pro I went with the air 4 because of the price I like it but sometimes I wish I got the pro version
I got the air 4 but now i’m thinking about trading it in for the 8th generation.
Can I ask why?
@@xMysticJulia update: I kept the air 4. Originally, I wanted to save money but if you have enough then I would suggest getting the air 4
@@lemonscenic6207 thanks!
Is there a big difference between pro and air?
i get my ipad pro 12.9 in two days! i chose the pro for the large screen size
I’m getting the iPad Pro 11 for Christmas I’m so excited! 😆 Also feel a little guilty because it was so expensive. 😣
owo ok so it's been roughly a good six months since I've had the ipad pro 11in. AND you should def get it. The ipad pro literally replaced my laptop during the time when my pc laptop was being a laggy mess and before I got my mac which I need for art apps that can't be on the ipad. SO FOR STUDENTS IT CAN DEFENITELY REPLACE YOUR LAPTOP! For notes and papers and every day student life especially for highschoolers. So get it lol.
Same!
I am getting a iPad air 4 for Christmas
Hi ! I am from Bangladesh.I wanted to buy a ipad so can you tell me that which ipad will good and nice ??And also tell me that which apple pencil works on which ipad?
I doesn't know about those and I doesn't have any idea. I'm not a apple user . so you will know the best because you use ipad. By the way you are so nice 🙂.
Your voice is wonderful.❤️❤️
Many many loves from Bangladesh 🇧🇩💓❤️👍🏻

Lowkey regret not getting the ipad since the apple pencil feels so much better but oh well
