    it is reassuring that there still exists a game developer which listens to it's player base!
    That truly is a rare thing in this day and age. All the companies want is to shoe horn it's playerbase into what the company wants us to play (which involves lots of micro-tranactions).
    I hope Cities franchise grows so big that other major companies will take note and actually begin to listen to player feedback.
    Good work Colossal and Paradox!

    a polygonal tool could also be used for expanding the city area, like you get a certain amount of area (like 4km^2) and can move the borders freely, it would be more useful than 2kmx2km grids like if someone wanted a highway connection that is just a few meters outside of an available square they'd have to buy 2 squares of land instead of just making a panhandle

    I find it odd that the primary school has a higher default capacity than the high school. The primary school has a capacity of 1,000 students whereas the high school has a capacity of 800 students. I don’t know of anywhere that has larger primary schools. Usually you have lots of small local primary schools so students can get there easily and then one large high school so they can offer more classes. Most primary schools I see tend to have about 300-800 students whereas high schools tend to have about 1,000-1,600 students. It feels very unrealistic for the primary school to have a larger capacity.

    • @zeroibis
      @zeroibis Год назад +2

      The primary school students are smaller and so more of them can fit in the same space, the game clearly takes this into account and so that is why you have less capacity in a similar sized building when the students become larger.

      here in Brazil both primary schools and high schools are in the 300-800 students range, the actually big schools usually are big because they have both primary and high education. High schools in general are rare, the government always build integrated primary and high schools and it usually is more lucrative for private schools to also be integrated, the purpose of a institution being only high school here usually involves a lot of focus on studying the ENEM (the national exam to enter a public university) and other exams, so the people studying in those tend to be trying for a very competitive degree like medical or law school.
      So in the end, a primary school can be big (in more populated cities), but a high school kinda can't (atleast not alone).
      TLDR: I want integrated schools in the game :c

    Thank you so much for expanding services. I'm a huge fan of the original Cities Skylines, but I felt like the original system was a huge hurdle when you're designing a new neighborhood/district. When you build a big city you always end up with 30 police stations, 30 fire stations, 30 doctors offices, 30 crematoriums, 30 elementary schools, etc. I'm hoping we can move students to their respective schools with a well thought out transit system, because it's devastating when your high capacity high school as 1/3rd of its students, and 10 blocks away citizens are crying about being deprived of a high school, even though a free bus route operates for all the schools.
    Really pleased with everything we've learned about the sequel so far. Great work!
