Hey man I don't usually comment but all respect to you and what you do. You made a joke about the unexpected catch and just had to say I like that you don't have to click bait or be "high energy" to entertain, make up drama etc. You're doing amazing in terms of competition for views on fishing RUclipsrs. One of your great qualities is that you don't flaunt how good you are, and the rest speaks for itself.
@@johnkaplan4417 yep.... I can always tell when a channel decides to comprimise and become like all the others.... As soon as that heppens. I'm stop watching because it gets like TV...
I'm in SC...pomps run in schools for sure, and are always running with tides. Sandy bottom with goofy jig and teaser... you will KILL it with pomps. 2 hard pops off the bottom and let it fall... like a shrimp.
Oh my, you caught every last one of our endangered flounder in one trip, Elias. The sarcasm in some of the recent uploads is nearly as awesome as the fishing, lol
Those shad raps are awesome. I kill muskie walleye and smallies on those here in Philly. If you ever make it up around here lmk and I can get you on some stud fish I'm the city
I’ve watched several of your videos lately and I enjoy the no bs as well as your catches. Thanks for the straight up fishing techniques and honesty! New subscriber!
new hat! how do you treat your freshwater plugs after fishing to prevent rusting? try a bottom sweeper with crab or sand flea for those pomps, best fish we catch in florida for the table
In Florida a lot of people use goofy, banana, or pompano jigs a lot like that epoxy jig in pink and yellow colors with a teaser or little fly in green and white colors all together on a loop knot. Jigging as you do with the epoxy jig, I had luck with short quick jerks that hold to the bottom.
Great video Elias. I like seeing the wheels turning on new techniques. I know it’s a process and it doesn’t always work out, but it would be great to see the progression.
Dam, that exit from the yak was beautiful 👍💪Artificial is great do not have to deal with extra buckets or keeping the bait alive. You have to work a bit harder but I think it is definitely worth it especially on a kayak. Tight Lines.
Nice video! I definitely recommend trying a goofy jig with a teaser on a loop knot. I catch most of my pomps on the teaser. The teaser may help you catch more pomps! Seems like they like the smaller lures/teasers.
You're making me want to get to the salt water badly. Killing me. LOL. Honestly, nice to see people out catching em. Great video and great information.
Another great video ! Being a kayak fisherman myself, I love a mixed bag. But mackerel and blue fishing has to be my favorite. I guess Jacks and the pompano are in the same class, fork tail killers. The macks and Blues are tackle testers and killers for sure, breaking off hooks and leaders, blood everywhere. I used to use the J flouro all the time, now I found the Seagar inshore to be my best valve. 100 yrd spool with the right stiffness but QUALITY flouro is a must, I don't like steel leaders unless it's the thinnest piano wire. Great job, keep them coming.
Have you noticed the "summer season" being late this year? Up here in NY/NJ waters we have seen such delay in the water temp warming up - usually we have yellowfin tuna up here by this time. Still seeing 56 degree water in the canyons which should be closer to 70 by now.
Nice Day! Tourist everywhere! HA Went off shore Tuesday out of Swansboro and slayed the groupers and dodo's. They were macking on the bunkers big time. Didn't see much surface life, was strange.
You can get 3x short shank owner american their pretty strong with a 3 hyperwire 90 lb test split ring so it's durable an the treble hooks are razor sharp
@@kylegallardy1894 yea man he lives right near the beach. For me I can drive from my place to ft. Fisher,Kure,Carolina, surf city, topsail, north topsail. All in about 2 hours give or take. And I drive down almost every weekend. But this year I got my sc license. And been driving there for the flounder. Cherry grove, murrells inlet soo far!!
Man I really want to kayak fish!!! Gotta learn how to fish first… bought a Shimano Nasci 2500 and a Sellus 7.1 med/fast spinning reel setup for my first rig ever. I’m waiting on some fishing line I ordered and then I’m gonna try and catch my first fish
Do you have problems with catching any kind of fish during June and July? I know in fresh water they have a hard time with big catfish right now, because that's their spawning season. Do you ever get in a "Pickle" or a tight spot with Salt water?
Get yourself a few frisky fins pomp jigs and they will aggressively hit it if they are down there ... I caught 17 pomp in 30 minutes when a school came thru last week
If someone asked for fish and you gave them a spanish, why would they be unhappy? Do they not know how to make tacos? Great video! Thanks for making it!
@EliasVFishing what rod holders did you insert in the front built in hobie holders? The front ones on the outback are useless, I would love to do the same to mine. Great Vid as always!
What did you mean by giving Spaniards to your neighbors so that they won’t bug you for more fish??? They are a great eating fish, so I’m a little confused… Love your videos by the way!!!

That's why I watch Elias. I hate clickbait.
Could not agree more, amazing fisherman!

Oh, never in my life have I had to say, "Dang, another flounder!" :)

goofy jig could slay them but might also just get a bunch of small seabass
Great video as usual Elias. Miss the catch and cook. Where is your better half? She certainly brings a nice hange to your videos. Keep them coming. 🎣🏖

I’ve never seen someone upset and throwback so many nice flounder
I love the energy that was in this episode!! Loved it though goodonya.
Amazing how many flounder you find when they are out of season… And nice dismount. I always think of the time when Seamoney bailed hard, lol

the starry flounder are biting great in Southeast Alaska
already ate 7
got 4 more in the fridge
lovin it
I hit the thumbs up even before I got through the ad. Hope everything is going well with you thank you so much for the videos.

Lol, waiting for NC to join the rest of the states and declare that the flounder fishery is thriving
You're making me want to get to the salt water badly. Killing me. LOL. Honestly, nice to see people out catching em. Great video and great information.
Pick up some docs goofy jigs. We slay the pompano on the west coast of Florida with them. Get the ones with the teaser attached 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Really enjoy your videos Elias, useful information!! Like watching the you fish in a little boat, lol! God bless and keep you safe!✌

That Majora's Mask tattoo, yo!!!
i caught a 30", 10+lb Mackerel last week on a little 3000 spinning reel. was an epic fight.
You can get 3x short shank owner american their pretty strong with a 3 hyperwire 90 lb test split ring so it's durable an the treble hooks are razor sharp
Nice video...I wonder how you get from the car to the beach, does the kayak have wheels or something to pull it? I has to be a couple hundred lbs
I used to fish jigs like this growing up but got away from it as I got older. You’re really making me want to get out there and try again 😎
Always good to hear your thoughts on situations strategy & plan of attack
Good bite fun to watch
Hear banana jigs in yellow and pink for pompano
One of my favorites. That pompano was clutch 💪🏻
love the slammer 4 , got a std 6500 and a 2500dx
I tried a beach launch from Sunset Beach, NC and got rolled coming back.
All the big Spanish are up here in the OBX
looks like fun!
"too many flounder out here" 😭😭
Fun day. Reminds me of a time I caught 5 different species on a Little Cleo in Manasquan.
Dude your awesome, could u tell which beach you're putting in at,u make it look so easy putting your Yak in.
Somewhere near Wilmington. Not hard, just drive till you find it
YAK GOAT
Try the goofy jig! For popano
Wow.. peralatan sangat lengkap bro.. mancing pun butuh teknologi 👍👍
Hey man would try some goofy jigs out there I'm sure they would work!
Reel review video please!? Vanford v stradic v slammer
Great video! You have such informative NC content, and we appreciate it.
good size mackarel
No teeth were harmed by the making of this video.
What parts of the coast of NC do you normally fish. Have a house on oak island. Do a good amount of fishing through the year.
Elias you never tried going down to South Carolina to fish for some flounder??
I always wondered why he doesn't, he could almost yak there from where he's at

beauty. what a day. keep it going.
Why is your summer flounder season closed ? Looks like you have an over abundance compared to here in NY.
I want pics of the 21 inch pomp's. I get a lot of 17 and 18 around Naples and Marco in January. Show me a 21 and I'll bring the boat.
Waterproof boxes bro. I learned the hard way
Hellofa day! What was the depth? 👍🐟
Nice video!!! I like your channel videos, I wish all the best, here from Brazil 🇧🇷🇧🇷
Do you de-barb your hooks routinely? Seems like your fish are released pretty easily.
Elias is the man!
That’s interesting your pompano up there will hit that big of a jig. Down here in Florida they eat very small jigs exclusively
Try some goofy jigs, pomps love those things.
Do you have problems with catching any kind of fish during June and July? I know in fresh water they have a hard time with big catfish right now, because that's their spawning season. Do you ever get in a "Pickle" or a tight spot with Salt water?
Great video! Rapala do make the saltwater versions to the freshwater x-rap.
Due for a catch clean cook
6:51 Wait... WTF? LMAO
Elias try Owner American short shank treble hooks size 2 with size 3 hyperwire split ring from owner american
Get yourself a few frisky fins pomp jigs and they will aggressively hit it if they are down there ... I caught 17 pomp in 30 minutes when a school came thru last week
The only thing better than fishing is fishing.
If someone asked for fish and you gave them a spanish, why would they be unhappy? Do they not know how to make tacos? Great video! Thanks for making it!
Just casually reinventing the pomp game.
Hey friend is east wind good for kayaking of Carolina beach this weekend?Hard to launch of beach?
Hey there Elias. Isn’t it more fun fishing off of North Carolina then Long Island NY? It looks like more fun. Shalom. L
At least you remembered your net. 🤓
more crab catching vids
Have you tried that goofy jig on that spot Elias...
@EliasVFishing what rod holders did you insert in the front built in hobie holders? The front ones on the outback are useless, I would love to do the same to mine. Great Vid as always!
What kayak do you ride?
Could you tell me what kind of fish bag that is?
Maybe this is too obvious, but have you tried dropping goofy jigs on that structure that seems to hold pomps?
I don’t see the ice chest you’re using in the video. I can’t see the name brand
👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽
in search for the 21" pompano!
your area?
What state?
What did you mean by giving Spaniards to your neighbors so that they won’t bug you for more fish??? They are a great eating fish, so I’m a little confused… Love your videos by the way!!!
It was a joke. But I guess it didn’t land. Hope I don’t get cancelled.
@@EliasVFishing they're coming for you 😂
😂😂😂😂
👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
did he just say it was a bad fishing day he caught like 73 flounder
What's your address I'll send you a tandem rig that we have been tieing for years.
Its so painful to see you throw back all those flatties, hurts me to my sole. (Please excuse the pun, lol)
🥰
I’m a loser at third….😵💫
Why are Spanish Mackerel a good fish for annoying neighbors?
