Legal sized dinner fish are hard to find on the ocean side in less than 100ft depth due to all the fishing and spearfishing pressure from tourists and locals alike. In a kayak, you would be better off in the backcountry where you only have to compete with other shallow draft boats.

Always drives me nuts when I’m on my kayak and actively fishing and a powered vessel makes no effort to give you a little bit of a wider birth or show some courtesy and drop speed a little. I know it’s not required but it’s nice to show some respect on the water and err on the side of safety. When I’m in my center console I cut to headway speed if I’m within a few hundred feet of a kayak.

It's nice to hear you describe what type of structure your fishing,,, 'rocks, drop-off, depth,,,, & how far out. & Like someone else asked, it would be cool if you mentioned how long between hits. like 5 hits in 5 min, ect,,,, When your dragging a plug or lure over those sholes or rock piles, let us know how far down your plugs are diving!? FEELS like we're right there with ya! 😛
