That was amazing, that first fish was an anglers dream.
One of the best hits I’ve seen on RUclips. And I watch a good bit of fishing.
I was 80mi out of John's pass in the elbow and we got a nice yellowfin on a vertical jig. So I put out a flatline and it got hit. We were thinking it may be another tuna a few minutes into the fight realized it was an absolute monster barracuda. A few times I thought I pulled the hook but I'd turn the handle twenty times and catch up to him it was amazing how fast he'd switch direction.

I can't even remember the last time I fished freshwater, but I cant deny the good memories of fishing the Delaware River years ago. Had a lot of fun, drank a lot of beer, caught a lot of fish. The majority of my fishing these days is from the surf at Island Beach State Park, New Jersey. Gotta love drive on access. Will I ever fish freshwater again? To be honest, I'd like to. The fish may be a bit smaller than their saltwater brethren, but getting out on the water to make some casts is always a good day.

I live 10 minutes from the lake and 2 hours from the ocean. Have yet been to the lake to fish. Saltwater fishing is where it's at!

I do a LOT of canoe fishing in the north country. The clear water in our rivers is at times spooky handling musky, pike, etc. With that in mind, HELL NO, NOPE, NU UH. I’m not paddling my ass anywhere I can’t swim to shore and consequently down on the food chain FTS
