This awesome Toy restoration project came to me from one of my amazing subscribers. His father had wanted one of these since he was a boy... 80 years ago! Lucking there are still a few around, but unfortunately most of them are not in very good shape. Hopefully Mr LoFrisco enjoys!

I'm always impressed when a toy that old is still around much less in relatively good condition, speaks volumes for how it was made. Excellent restoration.
Love how you made the missing parts, Now its whole again.
I can imagine this being a present for a lucky boy and costing dad about a days pay
and let's remember it is from the great depression's era. A very Licky Boy indeed. these tin toys back in the 30's must have been so expensive
You have taught me a lot in this video. The plank with nails was gold.
A pretty nicely detailed model for the 1930s..
That chrome powdercoat is amazing, blows my mind every time you use it.
The 30’s styling on this truck is fantastic. I want one
Talent, skill , patience, ingenuity , this has it in abundance . Outstanding !
Anyone else instinctively turn away to protect the eyes when he starts welding? 🤪
Every. single. time.
Yes. Arc Flash is dangerous, it can burn your corneas. I did welding in high school, but it scared the crap out of me so my teacher let me be the "spotter", the one who watches for trails of carbon smoke coming off the welding.
I put my welding helmet on when I watch videos. Problem solved. Lol
No,because I'm blind from a welding accident.
lol it's hard not to
Hello from Erie, PA, home of the late Marx Toy Co.... It's common to see old Marx products around here, but they're usually in rough shape. It's awesome to see someone put some love back into one. Great job, and thanks for sharing it!
on of the first toys i remember as a child was a tin filling station made by marx...i got a scar from the corner of my mouth to the corner of my eye when i tripped and fell on it...these days i claim it was from a knife fight.
Best toy rescue so far! That bumper was clever! This is my favorite channel on RUclips
Was waiting to hear the "Yaaaaay!" sandblasting part.
This video really relaxed me after work.
The chrome powder coating is magnificent. Nice product!
Great job on fabricating the replacement parts!
This one required a lot more fabrication than most projects! Nicely done!
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Looks like you've got some sanding ahead of you on this one.
"Just Kidding!".......Ha! You are a very mean person to us OCD types! j/k :) Great vid as always!
I was yelling c’mon man ya missed a spot!
I got desperate man.
I'm quite sure that Mr. LoFrisco will enjoy setting that up smack dab in the middle of his living room. Whether the Mrs. will have it or not is another story. Great work.
What an amazing transformation.
Truly wonderful! Thank you for sharing this.
Новый выпуск посмотрел с удовольствием. Спасибо)
I almost had a heart attack during the sand blasting.
A brilliant restoration job! The owner is lucky.
Those were our grandparents ' toys that were fun to play in those years.
We were happy with such toys when i was kid. And imagine...no tablet or smart phones....at all!! :-) Very nice job you did there.
Sweet... What a little gem it turned out to be. Imagine unwrapping this truck as a kid in the '30's on Christmas day.... The simplicity in design is gorgeous. Good job in restoration!!!
Great metal work on remaking the bed. That super chrome powder coat blows my mind. Usually coatings labeled as "chrome " is usually just silver.
Beautiful Job, TRG! If he doesn't want it send it my way! Great video!
Back in the days when kids.could play in the dirt, and.use their imagination.
That came out unbelievable. Absolutely beautiful restoration. I love it.
~Kevin
Great job in this toy!! Congrats!!!
Simply love how it came out like the fact that you made it look original but not completely original 👍
Awesome! The bumper looks great!
Great restoration! I hope all those people who complained last week about the restoration/customization video are happy.
Excellent fabrication and restoration.
Thank you!
Most relaxing 21min ever
I Love this arts & crafts that went into restoring & rebuilding this vintage toy/model truck.. Thank you. 😀😃
WOW! Wooden wheels. That surprised me.
Awesome restoration job. I don't know what it is about your videos, but I do enjoy them very much!! Thank you for making them!
Nice. I especially enjoy restorations that include fabrication of broken or missing parts. Otherwise it's just another take-apart, sand blast, powdercoat, reassembly.
Restoration looks great 👍
One hell of a great job! Can't believe that there were people who gave you a thumbs down on this.
Thanks! The internet is full of trolls, occasionally they emerge from their parent's basement and leave thumbs down or "expert" comments on videos lol.
She looks FANTASTIC!!... All ready for the construction site!!.. Probably shinier than it ever was when it left the Marx Factory!!
"hey these restorations are usually quiet, lets turn the volume up"
SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH
Amazing! One of the best, but you need a new 'crowd noise' for that new machine!
Amazing restoration Done 👍
masterful work. excellent piece!
Great job. I love the chrome grill👍
Such a great piece of Art Deco design. And absolutely wonderful restoration.
I fell down dead when I realized why you taped the rod to the flat bumper metal. Very clever.
Que.lindo
That was amazing. Such talent. How could the owner not be happy? =)
Thanks!
Wow! Outstanding job.
TRG, it turned out to be a beautiful restoration! I respect the fact that you made the dumplever, the tailgate and the bumper by yourself, fantastic!
Imagine that,100 years old toy!Thank u sir,well done
Great refab of the missing parts!..very nice resto!!
Beautiful!! 👍🏻👍🏻
A toy from before the xbox when a child's imagination was all it needed to enter another place, simples. I'm am in awe of your abilities to restore these wonderful toys of yesteryear, a fantastic job well done. Thank you for sharing.
You know video games have been in housolds since the early 80's don't you?
This boomer-tier "lOL kIdS NOwADayS DoN't gO OuTsiDe" garbage is getting almost as old and tired as you.
@@thejonathan130 How can you call reality garbage? You know what? Anyone who says "kids don't go outside anymore" is bullshit, how stupid does that make you sound? Let me tell you: PRETTY PRETTY STUPID!
@@Omahabigbill That's my point.
You are obviously a paid up member of the indignant righteous brigade, who mentioned about not going outside! Time progresses and so do play habits. Stick around buddy and see what you feel about life in 50 years or so, that's if you make it!
@@chrissharp5073 funny I haven't received my paycheque yet.
"Kids these days" is the lamest whinge that's been around for ever. It's just annoying and stupid.
why is watching sandblasting so satisfying ?
lol not sure. I'm glad it is though
Nice sharp paint job on this one!
Very impressive scratchbuilding!
Thanks a lot!
Not gonna lie...you got me with the little patch of paint left when sandblasting. 😂
lol gotcha!
Fantastic restoration Tim. Sandblasting, sparks flying, welding and fabricating missing parts. What's not to like you folks who hit the dislike button. Restoring a 90 year old truck, I can't imagine why you couldn't get the missing parts. 2 questions Tim, were those metal wheels and what was the reason for the 2 axles on rear tires? Loved the project and you and yours stay safe. Cheers from Tennessee.👍😷🍻👍
The wheels were wooden, Oak I believe. The rear axle had a sleeve that went over it to keep the sides from pushing in.
Very nice. Love the bumper. Very creative
Masterpiece of restation.
Great job.. I think I would put felt on the lift to prevent scratching. Also love seeing Art Deco toys like this one be restored.
Great restoration and production.
Just amazing work. Pristine again, Louis Marx would approve.
That dump truck came out awesome, that is what they should look like, well done!!!👍
Thanks! This was one of my favorites.
Beautiful resto nice colors very bright it pops job well done
Excellent work, congratulations on a great restoration!
Thanks for watching!
Incredible restoration....great job!
Thank you very much!
Nice job fabricating a new front bumper as well... Looks like this one required you fabricate a part or two..
I'm sure fabricating all those parts was a PITA for you but it sure was fun to watch. Awesome restoration!
Amigo, me entretuve demasiado con esa restauración del camión, excelente, felicitaciones !!!!
You are genius, that dump truck looked 30’s concept look.
outstanding job!
The sandblasting is my favorite part....our with the old..looks refreshed
Thank you for restoring objects of the past!!!! WONDERFUL RESTORATION!!!! what was old and rusted-------is now new again!!.
Thanks!!
Sandblasting + Powder Coating = instant subscribe
Earned a subscriber today. You are different from, I haven't seen a Restoration channel make new parts for very old broken toy.
The other ones just disassemble, sandblast and, add new paint.
Man, that's an OLD SCHOOL toy!
This is just unreal.👍👍👍
Beautiful, just beautful.
I think this is my favorite one yet. When you left that spot of red paint, I was hollering at the screen. Almost as if you heard me, you posted “just kidding.” And the way you built the dump lever ... you are a master craftsmen! Bravo!!
You've got all the cool little Gizmo's. Plus your dam good at what you do. "Great job"
Thanks! I need a lot more Gizmos though lol
Very nice restoration. I have three 1930s trucks without rear fenders and missing beds, etc. The real fun for me is in not just the restoration but more in the fabrication and amping up of the toy to make it appear a lot more detailed and better looking. I would attach an image if I could but I think you get the idea. Best wishes!
A slick looking COE.
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Every time I think "oh lord, how's he gonna fix THAT?", you go right on and fix that. Amazing!
lol I usually think the same thing when I first start.
very nice simple thing , the colours are amazing
Sweet restoration.
Great little truck, no doubt my favourite of yours to date.
How many Barbies does the box hold?😉
lol this one is for a customer, so it will survive the Barbie test.
@@TRGRESTORATIONS
Awesome🙂
No shame in the Barbie test.😉
Totally wonderful job!
SOO KOOOOOLLLL.
Awesome work as always.
Question?, can you cook some smoked ribs while drying your next truck ?
Ha ha ha ha
Mike Espo .
I love your videos, and even though the sand blaster is exciting I enjoy the powder painting part.
92% original 100% complete...Fantastic Job 👏😁👏😀👍😎👍
Wooden wheels... did not see that coming! I thought they were Bakelite or something. I sure do love that chrome powder coat finish! Beautiful!
Excellent job, came out beautiful Bro.
Nice and Clean Restoration
Thanks for watching!
