I'm praying for the Incarnus to return like it did in DQMJ2, but hopefully we get access to his various forms before postgame. I just have an emotional attachment to his monster line because of him being heavily a part of the story of DQMJ1, and I love the entire design being based on 4 different animals, 4 elements, 4 card suits, with his dark and holy forms being based on the Ace of Spades and Wildcard/Joker respectively, it's just🤌
I think that the repeat dungeon with the ability to scout your old monsters is crucial. If they move like SMT 5, each one is an individual purchase. They all seem useful, though the random dungeons idk about the shrimp one, idk what the drops will be.
I’m excited for this game! It’s DQ4 focused and it’s a welcome change up from Pokémon games. Never played a monsters game before, so I’m happy this will be my first.

Also; similar to it’s fate on the Super Famicom; DQ6 came out at the end of the DS’s life, so many people were moving on from the DS by the time the remake came out

Day 1 paid DLC is super gross but not unexpected from Square Enix these days. The stuff being costumes and extra items, and random dungeons that make the core game easier is kinda whatever. I hope the online multiplayer is fun and easy to battle friends in, but also structured in a way that makes it not just grind to win type stuff. All in all still very excited for the core game at least.

I remember thinking around when DQXII was announced that it would be cool if you played as the human that would eventually use the "secret of evolution" or whatever to become estark (probably just because I remember someone theorizing that terry was estark) but I never realized how more obvious it would be to play as psaro edit: the chef hat?? not a priority?!?!?
Haha I’ve been slowly working on a video talking about weird or mostly unknown DQ Facts/Theories and Terry being Estark is definitely something that comes up in it! Psaro is my favorite villain of all time, so you can imagine how freaking excited I am for this game!
Judging by the two different Psaro models it looks there is a time skip. So there might be a chance that the events from Dragon Quest IV may be retold from Psaro's perspective.
@@dukey03 I never played Dragon Quest 4, but since they showed the hero I'm going to say that Dragon Quest Monsters The Dark Prince is definitely a pseudo retelling and may hint towards a remake. Square Enix does remake and port the dragon quest games quite a bit.

It would end up in a Spiderman 3 situation if they had to tell 2 full stories and there's really no need to tell Psaro's story in DQIV again as we pretty much already know everything from his side of the story. That's why I strongly believe that this will be a prequel telling how he became the Master Of Monsterkind; just as it said in the original trailer.

Too high ranked and all except for one dragon I wanted to get but never was able to get. It. Makes me miss my old monsters from back then cuz I would have loved to have them now on this one
Started playing Dragon Warrior Monsters for GBC again. When I was a kid I didn't put together the actual world. The Great Tree and Great log are in the same world. Great Logs king shows up and Dead Tree. The world is comprised of several of these kingdoms. Nadiria is such a neat setting for a new game. I've played all 3 Joker games and the story for those are pretty deep too. Joker 3 explains everything about the first 2. Since Dragon Quest Monsters the Dark Prince is called DQM3 in Japan, I wonder if it fits in to Terry's wonderland and DQM2 somehow. I hope this new game gives Pokémon a run for its money. This series needs to thrive. If you have friends that love Pokémon please tell them about DQM. This series deserves to be in the spotlight.

You could tell what monster you get from breeding in the gameboy games. I mean it at least gives you the name of what you're gonna be breeding before you confirm. There are a few exceptions, but those are the really powerful, higher tiered monsters, like Unknown family mons and such. And its only hidden from you the first time you breed that monster- if you breed another one, it shows the name like any other. Since the surprise isn't there anymore.
In DQM3D, the game lets you unlock all the recipes for a rank when you beat that rank in the Arena. It's fully optional, but it'll probably be the same. Also, 4-monster recipes are registered as "Unknown" even after reading or doing them.

Yeah dude! Dragon Quest 5 was actually the game that inspired GameFreak to create the Pokemon games. Dragon Warrior Monsters on the Game Boy was the first game that focused solely on recruiting and battling monsters and is a prequel to DQ6

DLC is supposed to be "updates" and made sense to pay for it as its additional time/resources.
