The level of filth literally totalled this car, however the generous and kind detailer donated that labor and supply stock as charity and ate that $2k potential profit out of the kindness of his heart. Otherwise, that thing would get crushed and shipped to China to become the next Gillette you buy at the store and the next box of paperclips you get at work. 😸😸😸

My heart just swells with pride seeing this.
My mom is a hoarder, and we once had a van that had mold growing in it.
    Made me kinda sick.
We also had a dog (Chow, probably mixed with Terrier, he was quite aggressive), and he smelled pretty bad...
It just makes me feel like I'm standing there, watching my mom's last car she owned (dad owns the cars now, she doesn't drive anymore), get cleaned up really nice!
If you're not the child of a hoarder, then you'll never understand that feeling.
And I hope you'll never have to.

When I lived with them I’d always spend a whole hour cleaning my room and then my dad would see there was space and would start moving more stuff into my room. Pissed me right off. I started throwing stuff away in secret and finally managed to convince them to throw stuff away properly like a year before I left home. My own home is completely minimal as a result, I won’t but unnecessary extras.

This is literally what my ex's car looked like and he refused to ever let me clean it. Once in awhile we'd fill up a trash bag but that was it. And he'd say oh well it was already gross and nasty from his brother and his family who had it before him. Apparently they just let their kid make messes in the back seat and never cleaned it. So he just figured why bother? I literally couldn't wear nice clothes with him cuz I was afraid they'd get dirty or stained from his car. The amount of times there was a funky smell and I'd have to dig through the car to find the rotting food... And he'd talk about how embarrassed he was by the car but then wouldn't do a damn thing to change it! It was infuriating. And don't even get me started on his bedroom... dude had issues, least of which was refusing to ever let anyone help him with anything. I tried my damnedest that's for sure but some people just can't be helped.

I appreciate this video as a person who had, and still to some point have hoarding tendencies.
Of course nothing as severe as here, but it definitely got in my way when i was living alone.
No bashing and calling the owner nasty and disgusting.
Often times hoarders know that they're living in crap, but for one reason or another, they don't feel like doing anything about it, be it attachment to the trash or...really, anything else. Heck, for some it may just also be that they don't know any better.
But calling them nasty, stupid and so on won't help
    So
A video like this is just great. Just showing the process of the cleaning up part.

I was pleasantly surprised as many times I see hoarding videos with the most unthoughtful comment section. Both my parents are hoarders & have been my whole life. I'm 30 now, but growing up in it then now they're older & trying to help them with it, no one really understands they aren't just lazy or slobs. They truly have mental illness. Both my parents want a clean home but they just can't do it. My husband & I try to help as much as we can but every time we clean a room it's back to the way it used to be very soon after. It's sad!

As an automotive painter I just wanted to say that a layer of dirt/dust does NOT protect your paint from anything, quite the opposite actually. A good wax is what will protect the paint from UV rays, having a constant layer of dirt on a car is what causes paint to deteriorate prematurely

I was living with my parents when the pandemic started. I was an essential worker and my parents were so scared that I’d bring home focus they asked me to move out. I basically had a few days to move and a lot of camping stuff I didn’t have room for in the new place got stored in my car. Then the seals around my windows failed and the constant moisture made mold grow under the stuff. Now I have a place with room to move the camping stuff but it’s so moldy that I don’t want to “infect” my home with the grossness.
So I’ve put off the big cleaning project and I’m terrified that my car looks like this under all the junk. It’s so embarrassing because I’m not a dirty person and my home is clean and organized. But at the same time I can’t/won’t let anyone ride in my vehicle and the looks people give when they see the mountain of stuff inside is humiliating. I know I need to do something about it but I just feel overwhelmed.

    • @izzatihassan1475

Hey, I got mold in my car too, during the pandemic. My car's seal also failed and it was raining for 24+ hours during that time, and since I was working remotely and go out only once a week, I nearly passed out seeing the condition of the car! After about a couple of days of just staring at the car being demotivated and all. First thing I did was made a mixture of vinegar and water and sprayed it on the moldy seats. Then kept spraying it every few days until the mold died. Then i made my own mix of clover oil to kill the spores so it doesn't grow back. Not sure if it helped though. So finally I went to a detailing company like this and paid them to deep clean (hot steam) all the seats for $300. The final step has made all the difference, honestly.
