    My old buddy Rob, known him for 30 years, came by and said his fuses kept blowing..and asked if i had a "40 amp" for him. I took one look at his system and knew i had to do something. I fixed him up and got him on the road. I told him, when i have time, i will go through and fix all this stuff for you. It's BAD. REAL Bad. In a funny way. I guess he got it mostly like this. I don't know who is responsible for the bucket o' bass but i HAD to share this with you guys. Make sure to subscribe and hit like if you think i should hook Rob up proper and fix this for him.

      ya but if you want serious body/paint work done to the truck, send the check is what i am saying. It's easy to call the shots from your computer (or phone) but harder to pay for it. Want the address to send the money? :)

      meade916 you're absolutely right. Perhaps I worded my comment incorrectly. What I'm saying is your work is excellent. I HOPE that he is able to do paint and body. That's all. No negativity at all. I'm not calling shots. I'm just respecting what I see and hoping for the best for the owner of the truck.

    This might be a dumb question but I always thought it was bad to put the amps on the a box I did it once with some rubber spacers to try and exorbitant the vibration and it still mess the amp up ?

      same question here, i thought i was a mistake but i think you put that gray and blue mix for that reason, i like your videos but i think it will be good if you explain some times why you do some stuff, keep it going your are the best

    • @DJKEYS-br1xh
      @DJKEYS-br1xh 6 лет назад

      Michael Guthmiller space is not at a premium here..amps are not small..I always been against amps on the box. But this is a exception..Rob just got to insure his equiptment and the truck..very well I would..

    • @meade916
      @meade916  6 лет назад +1

      if you build your box solid enough you can mount your amps to it. That "rule of thumb" only applies to people that don't know what they are doing.

    • @meade916
      @meade916  6 лет назад

    Have you ever considered hex/torx fasteners instead of philips/posi - they are a lot cleaner to torque and more professional.

    • @meade916
      @meade916  6 лет назад +1

      lmao is that all you got? had to dig deep for that one huh? lol

    • @ammonsword517
      @ammonsword517 6 лет назад

      The Phillips heads are probably the most easily accessible, both hardware and tool wise. I think manufacturers usually use torx drive screws to deter customers from tampering with special components in their vehicles, like the ignition key cylinder, or the ecm. Most other components are secured with #2 screws.

    • @cozmium
      @cozmium 6 лет назад +1

      Sorry I realise you get a lot of trolls, i've watched your videos for years and I get you have a zero-patience attitude towards it these days.
      I was offering a genuine and earnest idea as i've worked in industry for several decades now, and with the quality of work you do I just thought some decent A2/A4 grade hex or torx fasteners would positively reflect on your work.

    • @meade916
      @meade916  6 лет назад

      no need for all that. The screws i used are just fine. Torx won't look or perform any better. I have been doing this for several decades myself. Thanks anyway for the "earnest idea" but i am good to go. If you been watching my video's for years like you say you have then you know people will stop the video, zoom in and TRY to find something "wrong" or something they would have done different....all the while not doing anything themselves at all except arm-chair quarterbacking. I'm good bro thanks anyway.

    • @moptop85
      @moptop85 6 лет назад +1

      The only downside to the common screwdriver and screws is there is a bunch of different sizes. People use the wrong size, even ifs close, and start to round off the edges of the fastener.
      As long as you use the correct tool for the job, it works just fine.

    Steve... you are the man. Nice to see your installs. Reminds me of “The Fish” back in the 90s. Used to really enjoy seeing his installs.
    Keep up the great work with those clean installs. Thanks for what you do brother.
    Wish I had some tunes.. in the only money maker in the house so my wife and I go without the “Beat” even though we both love it. Maybe one day you’ll give away a whole system.. “Brain to guts” so to speak. Thanks for your hard work and teachings on mobile audio. If I still installed, would love to be a student. Thanks again to you and the fam... we’ll keep watching.
    Denord out!!

    Hey meade916, another dope build brother! Have u thought about selling enclosures to customers specs or your recommended specs but only ship the pre fabbed panels n the consumer can put it together? That'd be awesome n I know alot of people would buy from you.

    Im a supporter of the Meade movement, your a bass head for life but im definitely seeing a change in content here... its been alot of CNC machine and less down and dirty installs... business is business and that machine makes the green spendie monies i get that but watching a robot cut wood is like watching your washer wash dirty shirts... bring back the O.G. Meade!!!! P.S. take 6 shots of Patron and try saying washer wash dirty shirts 10 times as fast as you can on camera >:) and the cutouts for each component on top of the box is dope a F btw.

      if you think the machine did all the work you clearly have not watched the series let alone this video. You guys are fuckin' funny....all upset because i use a cnc machine now....even though i still have to work my ass off to do the rest of the work. smh

      Half these dudes cant even use a damn screwdriver properly. For them to be able to use a CNC would take years of schooling haha

      meade916 don't listen to them about the CNC machines. I'd rather you have more time for filming and editing videos for us all to watch and have the machine pay for itself making dust instead of collecting it.

    I just re did my systemic my Sierra crew cab and put 4 12”JL Audio W1V3 wired to one ohm, powered by a Fosgate 1200.1 that tested at almost 1500 watts. Damn near identical set up and wiring.
