Workwear can also be found in some home improvement stores. But the sizes only fit the average domestic population. A few is available in some “big size” shops. That said, the prices in this video look pretty inexpensive.
The cooling jacket doesn’t claim to lower your temperature to 5 degrees but to lower your temperatures 5 degrees( which is still doubtful but at least that seems more believable 😅)
I work as a maintenance/construction manager in Japan and never thought about the work clothes as being, "drip" haha. I've been shopping there for years and never thought about it haha
197 days? Why do i feel the end is so near... Maybe after the japan series, we'd see what kind of wardrobe you'd have collected over your stay. Also something to see or request pls my good sir? You on a date with foxy in yukatas in any fitting festivals there (add babysitter too because babysitter is good w/ the 'what can you get with *insert yen amount here*. We wouldnt want you winning now do we :3)
I bought one of those fan jackets last year. I opted for the USB powered one just so it didn't have a propriety connection and battery type even though it is less powerful. It saved me in the summer heat that year and back in the states I've used it for probably 100 hours. Everything is working great on it.
There are no standards for S-M-L etc. sizing, hasn't been after Vietnam war ages. Every brand can have their own ones. However, Asian sizing differs from the European sizing differs from the US sizing, so needing XL isn't strange for a medium sized guy.
Damn, wish I knew that, when I visited Japan. Actually the first "things you didn't know about Japan" kinda thing for me in a long while, damn. Trousers looking comfy af. Please give us a full review after summer.
Workman is also another good store for this kind of stuff. They have a sub-brand called FieldCore that makes some blue-green corduroy pants with doubled pockets (theres normal pockets, then right behind it theres a deeper zippered pocket) on both sides. Some of if not my favorite pair of pants, and I have been to Kojima - the blue jeans city.
Interesting to see those cooling vests, though... wonder how you could implement that kind of tech into an IRL backpack... Thanks, fella~! What sorts of wacky things will Mudan get up to tomorrow?
Have you any idea where the blue wabash shirt jacket with white Japanese text logo from the first pic you show is from? I've been looking for it all year, it's dope. The photographer is Matsuda Tadao.
Yeah, I've had issues buying clothing in Japan. I'd buy a T-shirt that was XXXL and even looked like it should fit, but when I got home to try it on, it was tight like I was wearing a kids shirt lol
I think it may have been trying to say that it's able to lower temp by 5C rather than taking it down to 5 or -5. Seems like a more reasonable claim IMO.
Oh man... I regret not getting any clothes from that store. I happened to stumble into the store, hoping to get change for the laundromat next door but sadly I had to buy something. I couldn't buy anything at the time cause my suitcase was maxed out XD
I love the pants and the 5-pocket T-shirt. With that outfit you can go to Italy Firenze, Milan, to walk around the most commercial streets and you will be a hit. 👍
god i really hope foreigners dont end up causing prices to either inflate or cause a scarcity for the workers who actually use/need them. It's either that or stores start stopping foreigners from shopping there
this video encompasses japan in a weird way for me. the utility, quality and selection are absolutely amazing. the store must be expensive right? nope. then you see the price and you think wtf how can you get quality goods in japan for the price of crappy made in china shovelware elsewhere? its honestly worth your money to not buy anything in my country, which is a huge rip off (new zealand) and to save the money for a once per year japan shopping trip. its what ive been doing and im literally not spending any extra. Japan is the ultimate quality and value for money.
That was of weirdest squat forms I have ever seen. Mudan not being able to straight up squat flatfooted makes me question his slavic heritage. Excellent video though. Now watch work land jack up their prices.
It says that the vest can make the temperature 5 degrees less, not make it feel like just 5 degrees. Japan can do a lot, but dark magic like that isn't one of them. (Unless you wear the vest during winter, then I guess it is possible :p)
Depends, but China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Bangladesh are the usual suspects. More than you might think is actually manufactured in Japan though. It just tends to stay in Japan
NPCs go to Disney Land while the homies go to Work Land. But, you're still missing the most important Land of all the Lands... is the ShinHAVE YOU CONSIDERED SPEED RUNNING EVERY SINGLE TEMPLE IN TOKYO?!
If you want a unique experience, there are straight up day labor construction site jobs in Japan, you see ads for them all over the place.
I'd unironically do this.
"Join the team, we build shit!"
What are the rules for that? Do they take a copy of your passport? Is the irs gonna come after you if you forget to declare 100 bucks worth of income?
Don't give Johnny Somali any more ideas
彼らの仕事は相当厳しいです。誰でも出来るわけじゃなねぇーぞ!
That 5 degrees Celsius sign actually said "minus 5C" (not -5C) so I assume it was saying it can lower the temperature by 5 degrees.
Thank you, came to say that too.
Been in Japan for 2 years and had no idea about the secret drip that construction workers were hiding from me. Thanks Mudan!
Babysitter looks like a DragonBall Z character
You can only find Workland in the Kanto area, elsewhere Workman is the place to go for these kinds of goods.
damn those pants are actually so cool looking
Workwear can also be found in some home improvement stores. But the sizes only fit the average domestic population. A few is available in some “big size” shops.

I love babysitter cameos they’re my favorite

They work very good, you can add small ice packs to many too.
Not shocked at all that Mudan is a XXXL in Japan. Their clothes apparently run WAY smaller than most in Europe and North America.
he was exaggerating slightly, as a big dude from Australia XL was fine most of the time.
@@jama211 big tall dude from nz and im an xxxl and its been a little snug! but mind you there arent that many nearly 7ft people in japan
I'm average size, slightly fit and I was 1 size larger in Japan
Depends on the clothes tbh. I'm a small guy and wear XS - L sizes.
From my experience with Uniqlo, sizes were almost the same as EU sizes.
Of course Mudan would love a place called Workland
lmao I didn't think about that
such an interesting off shoot fashion from workers clothes. they look good, ngl.
"put in notes: go to work land if ever in Japan"
I work as a maintenance/construction manager in Japan and never thought about the work clothes as being, "drip" haha. I've been shopping there for years and never thought about it haha
if mudan is 3XL in japan then my size would be godzilla 💀
Go to Nishinari district in Osaka. There are a bunch of these stores and prices are super affordable.
That place is very dangerous for tourist.
This video is awesome! Who has ever done a video on construction chic? No-one - until now! Thanks and keep making these great content!

First day of asking Mudan to speed run thrift stores in Shimo-Kitazawa.
2:21 It says minus 5 C so I think they mean that it can reduce the temperature inside by five degrees C which is kinda believable
There are no standards for S-M-L etc. sizing, hasn't been after Vietnam war ages. Every brand can have their own ones. However, Asian sizing differs from the European sizing differs from the US sizing, so needing XL isn't strange for a medium sized guy.
Dripped out Mudan
When I was studying in Tokyo in 2010-2011, I made sure to get myself some construction worker pants because they were the coolest!
5 POCKET TSHIRT??????????????
this is heaven, dont want drip just efficiency
"Mudan the strangler" latest recruit to the Tokyo manji gang
Damn, wish I knew that, when I visited Japan. Actually the first "things you didn't know about Japan" kinda thing for me in a long while, damn. Trousers looking comfy af. Please give us a full review after summer.
Utility has never look so fashionable
Great, by the time I get there, Work Land will have premium pricing. Nice job, Mudan.
Those pants actually look super comfy

Just came back from Japan, really wish I went to this place 😭 did so a lot of thrift shopping and bought lots of tshirts, but missing pants!!
...Fuck me, I need to buy a 900 dollar plane ticket now so I can go replace my whole wardrobe
Interesting to see those cooling vests, though... wonder how you could implement that kind of tech into an IRL backpack... Thanks, fella~! What sorts of wacky things will Mudan get up to tomorrow?

First! Hell yea, that's what I've been waiting for
irl video of mudan getting a real job when?
that working shirt actually looks amazing.
I remember seeing the workers with the fan jackets down in Ishigakijima last year and wanted one so bad! They looked so much more comfortable
No more Salaryman :( now he's constructionman
Check out Work Man as well. I think this store is somewhat related to that.
I'm going there todayyy, bruv! Those pants look legit
Yeah, I've had issues buying clothing in Japan. I'd buy a T-shirt that was XXXL and even looked like it should fit, but when I got home to try it on, it was tight like I was wearing a kids shirt lol
I used to love Japanese maintenance stores.
The wildest part was how you thought the "polar bear style" hat was more crazy than the one that says "The Indian skeleton dink" right next to it.
Always nice to see mudan upload
2:20 The sign actually says "マイナス 5°C", which means -5°C.
I think it may have been trying to say that it's able to lower temp by 5C rather than taking it down to 5 or -5. Seems like a more reasonable claim IMO.
@@Zelmel You're probably right. I found the product information online and if I translate it into English, it mentions heat insulation of -5°C.
Now that’s a hidden gem
Bro is a damn giant in Japanese sizes lmfao
Nice find!
Mudan is a full-on working man ready to hit the bricks or skyscrapers 😅
Oh man... I regret not getting any clothes from that store. I happened to stumble into the store, hoping to get change for the laundromat next door but sadly I had to buy something. I couldn't buy anything at the time cause my suitcase was maxed out XD

The fans go down to 5c as long as it's 6c outside
this suddenly become my must visit place in Japan.
The biggest worker clothing franchise is actually Work Man. I believe Work Land is second or third, so I suggest you try both.
god i really hope foreigners dont end up causing prices to either inflate or cause a scarcity for the workers who actually use/need them. It's either that or stores start stopping foreigners from shopping there
You’re thinking too much over a joke video brotha
Nah, we'll just buy the fat guysizes the Japanese don't want.
DAY LV - good sir! Can you please go do the Wanko Soba Noodle Challenge? Try eating at least 80 bowls 🍜
need a test of the fan jacket now
I wanna live in one of Mudan's shirt pockets
I would argue Workman has better selection and similar prices. Plus their stores are lit up like department stores and not as dark as workland.
Sometimes the best drip comes in the most unexpected places huh
Guys where can I find some cool hats and shirts to take back home for souvenirs? I checked tokyu hands buts its all real clothes for Japanese people.
Is there anything similar in central Tokyo? Most of these shops are on outskirts
Yo awesome that you used @Mezerg 👏👏
Actually great recommendation, that is some sick drip.
100% Cotton is best for hot & humid weather
Try bouldering, bowling and buy lucky box
I wish I could find that kind of drip somewhere near me.

3:43 Good deep squat.
Next time I go, I’m gonna get myself those split toe steel cap carpenters boots
Its not -5C but the temp will go down by 5C from the present temp. hope that helps.
B tier video i learned that im REALLY fat to a Japanese person
Those are JP sizes
3:55 it looks like Aladdin movie pants 👖
Mezerg made it to one of Mudan's Vlogs! 💪😎👂🕺
huge find that i am saving to my google maps
Thanks, mate. Wanna share where Workland is ? Address?
What's the largest western style size?
workman is the GOAT. cheapest and drippest. if you want that kaneda-akira aesthetic, go to workman or attack.

Anyone know the song name?
I hear "drip" and I leave.
Call it Tobi wear because it’s fly as hell
If you're a 3XL, there's nothing for me in that store LOL
Wow! Fashion blog!!!
Where were the clothes manufactured?
Depends, but China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Bangladesh are the usual suspects. More than you might think is actually manufactured in Japan though. It just tends to stay in Japan

i miss the time you walked around like a salary man... but yea, what a find, best shop in japan
Damn it, if YOU'RE a 3XL? i need not apply
Please tell me you got the hat too
fuck yeah work land baby! I have like 5 pairs of pants from here. Also as a husky western person, i feel your pain skinny boy. that 3xl hurts.
No ichigo pants?
If you're more than a 34" waist or 6ft tall don't even bother ! ☹️
If you think 36 deg is hot come to South Australia where it does get to 46 deg !!
You mean to tell me you went to Work Land… and didn’t get any work tabi boots?!?
You fool! Now all the tourists know T_T
