    High flow grille is essential for the track. The HPD Civic Si racecar uses one. You'll especially need it since you guys just upgraded the intercooler. Big intercoolers are good for doing pulls and spirited driving, but they block the radiator and aren't recommended for circuit racing (at least with the stock grille).

    • @FastLaneWithVitto
      @FastLaneWithVitto  3 года назад +2

      Perfect, that’s good to know about the grille. Just picked up a high flow one and will have it on for the next track day! Yeah, that definitely makes sense about the intercooler especially with stock grille.. thanks for watching and for your suggestions! 🤙🏼🤙🏼

      1. Cool you can practice at round 50mph first and build up to around 70 mph depending on the corner, and as you build confidence. (Ensure track is empty/traffickless/forgiving/wide if you veer off, that you won't hit a barrier or dirt descent that causes a roll)
      2. You can analyse the corners before attempting by seeing which speeds cause tyres to screech without braking first, then attempt oversteer/drift.
      ________
      Here are some FWD drifts by drift God @Conorsev . You can try method 2 and method 3, which can be done without traditional handbrake, since our cars don't have traditional handbrakes.
      Method-2: Trail brake based oversteer:
      ruclips.net/video/Z859o-v3MCY/видео.html
      Method-3: Lift off oversteer:
      ruclips.net/video/Z859o-v3MCY/видео.html
      ~~Lift off is the one I do like on my channel, but trail brake may work better for you or vice versa. Lift off is a bit harder to do.
      ~~It's good to have this skill in your toolbelt, as it can enable you to become less surprised by unexpected scenarios both on track and off.

      Toronto Motorsports Park in Cayuga, no helmets needed when it’s just open lapping. But for competition it’s mandatory. Tires are RE-71R’s all around! Definitely fun

    How would you compare the 10th gen and 9th gen on the track?

    • @FastLaneWithVitto
      @FastLaneWithVitto  2 года назад

      2 completely different cars from the way it handles/feels to the powerband that you’ll need it in for it to be good. In my opinion without going forced induction on the 9th gen, the 10th gen has a lot more potential to be faster as the handling is much better. I will definitely be doing a track comparison for the two this year as long as I can sort out some issues on the 9th gen!

    How does it feel compared to fk8 if tou have driven it?

    • @FastLaneWithVitto
      @FastLaneWithVitto  Год назад

      I have, the FK8 is an amazing driver’s car straight out of the box. It obviously has its small issues like over heating and what not. But it’s planted, and puts down the power very well on the track.
      The 10th gen si definitely needs a few mods for it to feel good on track. But it’s still very nice as well. Handles very well for what feels like a big car compared to previous gens and you can get decent power out of them.

    do you have to rev match when you downshift? I'm new to manual and the 10th gen so just wanted to know cause I just learned how to do it and I downshift when I drive but don't heel toe since the stock pedal placement disagrees with me

    • @FastLaneWithVitto
      @FastLaneWithVitto  3 года назад

      Yeah rev matching is a must especially on the track! It does take some getting used to, but you’ll get it np! Also for the pedal placement, Acuity makes a pedal relocator, I have it in my 9th gen and it’s amazing. Check their site out and see if they have one for the 10th gens.. I’m sure they do!

    • @kidstarr100
      @kidstarr100 3 года назад

      @@FastLaneWithVitto I have another question lol does the rev hang on stock tune make it hard to drive smooth ? I heard the rev hang is what makes going from first to second so jerky no matter how slow you are on the clutch release

    • @FastLaneWithVitto
      @FastLaneWithVitto  3 года назад +1

      Yup, the stock rev hang on them is absolutely brutal haha! It’s actually better if you try to be quicker with the clutch when changing so you’re not letting the rpms fall as much between shifts which is what causes the jerk
