Skyrim Athletics - Nazeem Throw Championships

- It's the first day of April, which means it's time for another rather unconventional format! Inspired by athletics competitions like the upcoming Olympics, a small group of Skyrim and Solstheim inhabitants have gathered for a new event: The Nazeem Throw Championships!
Each participant gets one try to throw Nazeem as far as possible. Invalid attempts will not get counted and another try is allowed.
Due to technical limitations, the measured values are not 100% precise; however, they are pretty accurate still, and certainly accurate enough to allow for a direct comparison.
In real-life international athletic competitions, the meter is the standard unit of measurement. However, for all our folks who are more used to the Imperial System, I calculated the numbers in feet and inches as well. They're rounded to the nearest centimeter and inch.
This video took a lot of time to produce. I made the new ground texture in GIMP at first and tried to scale the measures as precisely as possible. Not only does it look nice for the video, but it also made measuring the distances easier in the game.
When an NPC dies, they usually don't get ragdolled and just drop dead, so I needed to make sure that this doesn't happen. However, if the NPC survives the hit instead, the aggressor will still run after them and try to continue attacking. And even if that didn't happen, I would still want Nazeem to stay lying on the ground for the measurement.
I made a script that detects when Nazeem takes damage and will kill him a few seconds after that. This way, he can get ragdolled at first, then dies on the ground, eliminating the other issuess.
It doesn't work 100% of the time, hence the blooper with the werebear, but it functioned pretty well overall.
I also had to make sure that Nazeem stays passive and doesn't fight back. He wouldn't be a threat to the other NPCs, but he's supposed to stay at his initial position to ensure fair conditions for all participants.
Those are only a couple issues I faced. The editing was a whole other thing and turned out to become quite complex. Nonetheless, I'm happy with the results!
This episode also serves as a sort of teaser for Zapstaag, my upcoming shock version of Karstaag. His debut battle video will still take a few weeks to get uploaded, but he's definitely on his way!
At first, I was planning on making this video additionally to the weekly battle episode. It turned out to be way too complicated and time-consuming though, plus it would get uploaded just one day after a different video, so I decided to make it replace the normal weekly video instead.

After seeing that the Ebony Warriors voice is stronger than Arngeir's (Or was it just because he ran up to Nazeem before shouting whereas Arngeir did it standing at the gate?), I'd like to make a request please. Who's voice is stronger, the Ebony Warrior or a fully leveled Dragonborn?🙏

The Ebony Warrior uses the same shout as Arngeir. The exact effect and amount of ragdoll are always a bit random, and the Ebony Warrior just got a good run here. 😄
It depends on your build, really. As for the shouts, the ones you learn are the same that the Ebony Warrior has access to, so it's a matter of using them smartly (which NPCs aren't good at). 😅 Of course, the player can learn a lot more different shouts than the Ebony Warrior, so you have a higher potential than him.
I currently don't take any donations in any way, for several reasons. But thanks a lot for wanting to do that! It blows my mind that some people consider that 😄

Did any of these actually work in getting him to the Cloud district? Is the cloud district a place or a concept? Or a state of mind?
Good questions. The only state of mind I'm familiar with is the fishstick. A very delicate one too. Maybe Nazeem's Cloud District is a similar concept. This would make him surprisingly smart 🤔

What are zapstag’s stats?
Zapstaag has too many properties to explain here. 😅 He's been a complex project which isn't comparable to my fire version of Karstaag. I'm still working on a few details about him
@@lSlendermasteralr, but is he bigger than karstaag? He looks huge, plus how much hp he got?
@@elric5371 Yes! He's 50% bigger than Karstaag and has 50% more HP (so 6000). He was also supposed to do 50% more melee damage, but due to a bug, he "only" does 30% more. I am unsure whether to keep it that way permanently or really push it up to the intended value, because he's already overpowered 😅
@@lSlendermasterdoes he have frost resistance? Cause unlike charstaag and karstaag who are almost equal due to their balanced elements, but karstaag has 75% shock resistance which would make it harder for zapstaag to win.
@@dingbat19 Yes, he does! 75% frost resistance, just like Karstaag's shock resistance. Zapstaag also has 25% fire resistance, and 90% shock resistance. I didn't make him immune so we can still have setups that include shock mages, which means something like Zapstaag vs. Dragon Priests of all elements will be possible 😄
