Thank you so much for posting this video! I just purchased this curriculum-the Ancient Times level. I was very interested at the homeschool convention, but I hadn’t seen anyone use it before. Would you mind “doing a lesson with us” video in the future? So excited now!
Love you and your videos ❤
Definitely 👍🏾
LOVE Biblioplan! We use it with the Mystery of History spine. I adjust the reading schedule a bit so we're only reading one lesson a day, but all our activities, memory work, map work, copywork, reading assignments, and rabbit hole ideas come exclusively from Biblioplan's Family Guide. We got the coloring pages for my littlest guy and it's been a huge success for us!
I need a science curriculum set up like this
I’m excited to see how you use everything this year. We are starting Biblioplan Ancients this year. Also, love your shirt! 💜
I will be using Biblioplan for the first time this fall with a co op! We will be in ancient times.
How do u like it so far? Will u use again next year? What do u love? Would change?
Crap this looks so good!!! Last year we did Americas story by Masterbooks and added in gather round history 2 plus campfires mini-thanksgiving units and dug deep especially on the true founding of America and the Indians…plus we stayed on the revolutionary war for 5 months daily 🤯😂
My son is dead set on doing Middle Ages this year and I bought gather round Middle Ages but maybe I’ll add in the biblioplan Middle Ages to expand on it more 🤔
I'm stirred to jealousy reading your comment. Lol I LOVE school, am a total book nerd and love all things academics but especially history. I'm a homeschooling mom to 7 and have put my blood, sweat, and tears into picking curriculum and trying to foster rabbit holes, the love of learning, and create fun, educational, and engaging lessons for my kids since 2012.
My husband was a jock in highschool and is not and has never been into school one iota. I can't believe NONE(!!!) Of my 7 kids take after me academically and take after him instead!! At least he's a math whiz and 4 of the 7 inherited that. 🤦♀️
Thank you for this walk through! We did Beautiful Feet last year for our first year of homeschooling, we did early American history which goes through the Civil War -- For jumping in to Biblioplan this year, should we continue chronologically into Modern History or should we start in year 1 of the cycle? (2nd and 5th graders) What would you recommend? Thank you!!
Thank you for doing this! I'm SOLD!
I love this curriculum as well but I get so excited to overwhelmed and wanna do it all. This year i am doing medieval history with my son (age 12) and just focusing on the questions, giants of the faith, a few books with lit studies. Any thoughts? Thanks!
Thanks for sharing! We are thinking of joining a co-op that uses their curriculum!
The co-op is doing "Remember the Days" but I am glad to know how many options Biblioplan has!
It would be wonderful in a co-op setting
Would you suggest, for first time users, that we get that family guide first before buying additional resources?
Yes! Also they have the first three weeks I believe as free samples on their website
That's what I did! It was easy to get the readers and read aloud resources from our library and Thriftbooks. (I didn't get every one recommended! I just picked one reader for each of my students and ONE read aloud)
Then I just used a Spine we already had on hand (Usborne Encyclopedia of History). It was great to spend three weeks (9 lessons) getting my feet wet and determining if it was something I could realistically stick with for the long term (it was and we did!). I purchased the Family Guide (Lesson Plans) and just continued using the Spine we had and the Library for the rest of the year. It was great and ended up becoming my kids' fave subject last year.
This looks so good!!!
It is ❤️
Thanks for sharing! I already have SOTW vol 1. So if I just buy the family guide, craft book and the cool history book will that be okay? Does the cool history book have questions for SOTW or is it only for the Remember the days book?
Thanks for doing this review! I was on the fence about purchasing this last year. So is the study of Africa included in the Modern Times history?
It’s one of the add ons. The entire history is what you want to add on. It’s à la carte.
I was looking at the curriculum and kind of got overwhelmed. So for K-2, do I buy ancient, medieval, etc. for year one? Or do I just buy one for the whole year and move up from there? Hope this made sense 🥴
I may be mistaken but I believe one time period is supposed to be a full year with a 4 year rotation.. if that makes sense.
Can you tell me how many pages you read for a typical lesson with their spine?
Anywhere from 2-8pages has been my experience so far but it is split between 3 days and we homeschool for four so we sometimes will do more or less
Thank you for your help! You're probably my favorite homeschool RUclipsr right now. I really appreciate you Wendy ❤️
