A great upgrade for the battery would be a small lithium battery bank that charges from the alternator. They are supper cheap to build and last longer and charge so much faster than just a old lead battery. Dont worry when I win it i will be sure to add it to the build before showing it around.

It's cool to see you share your car with the neighbor hood kids. Who know that interaction might get them into cars. Little things like that can make a huge difference.
Flashback too my teen years, in 86 I had a 78 Black Monte Carlo with the gold pinstripe and the maroon interior. I put aluminum rims on it and I had a motor from a salvaged Trans Am in it. This makes me a bit nostalgic. I ended up selling it, then I found out a few years later that it had a fuel leak and burned the car up. Sad..

My mom had one of these when I was kid...then I bought one when I was 19...Neither one ran worth a crap...and neither one of us knows anything under the hood...but owning Chevys most of my life, I know anything over 10 years old, you'd better be a gear-head or know great mechanics.
