Casey on the vinyl and plastic, carpet paint u can wash with soap and warm water and spray it. The vinyl and carpet paint will work on the plastic. U can also use laquar thinner to clean it. Peace love your channel!!

That was exactly what I was thinking about using the mustang hood for a work bench.
The training day interior had bucket seats and a console woodgrain steering wheel
I highly recommend cleaning out the interior with vinegar for any remnants of the mouse piss and crap. It will also help with any rust. You are probably going to smell mice piss when it gets warmer out or when you turn the heat on in the vehicle.
I have cleaned out some bad cars too man. I really appreciate you putting in the time to make these great videos.
Good decision to remove the interior and start fresh. Especially coating the entire interior with undercoating because every knows all sunroofs eventually leak. I’ve had mixed results with painting plastic and vinyl, what works one day totally screws up the next. Just a word of caution brother, wear that respirator more often when you’ve got the doors closed, solvents and paint fumes will get your lungs in the long term. ✌️
Casey, that Duplicolor Prep Spray you used is NOT adhesion promoter. It's just aerosol Wax and Grease remover. What you want is called Duplicolor Plastic Adhesion Promoter CP199
My very first car when I was 17 was a 79 Monte Carlo Landau. I kept everything original including the Monte Carlo wire hubs. Ever since then I fell in love with them and I think you're doing this on justice. Can't wait for your follow up vids.
That vinyl paint is awesome its durable as hell
Not sure if anyone else mentioned this, but that spray can you showed was not adhesion promoter, it was prep spray which is a cleaning solution and that's why it didn't dry in the areas where it could puddle up
I had a 78 monte landue 64k original miles 20 years ago. I was 16 an the neighbor had it an I had to have it. Bought a house an yet that was the down payment smh. Car was mint when I got it. Just needed a new vinyl top and the paint an seats were faded not bad. Brother always has referred to it as the training day car. So yea I'm really enjoying watching this build.
