I put bearing grease inside the cap threads before I would tighten them. Helps with water, rust and makes the caps go on a lil easier.
Good to know! Thank you! I noticed a little wd40 on the threads helped a bunch, grease sounds even better
🔥
Respect how much enthusiasm and excitement you show when building a lowrider!
Thank you! I’ve got a lot of people complaining about it but I’ve realized for every 1 that bitches about it I’ve got 20 that love it.
My mother had one of those cars when I was a youngster, and I was digging it in Training Day. My favorite build by far.
A lead hammer from ebay is a must! It won't damage the wheels. There a couple of videos on putting wire wheels on a car that are really helpful. Good looking ride tho!
ALMOST AT 100K!!!!!! Congratulations!!! Well deserved, my dude!!!
👌🏾 the wheels are nice its coming along. Can't wait to see the finished product!
A little anti seize on the treads, if they rust they will be hard to get off with no anti seize. I try to get my knock offs pretty tight while the car is up, so your not fighting the weight of the car when tight the wheels. Then after i put the car down , wack them again, take it for a ride, and check them again, I’ve known many who have lost a wheel.
Hey Casey! Try to get Denzel Washington to sign it after it's finished. Totally cool car
You build badass rides brother and what's holding on the spoke wheels are called knock off's .
Damnit i knew that but called them nuts. 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ talking on camera is hard sometimes lol
Man I just love them groove lines on the side. My first car was a 81 Monte Carlo white with blue leather interior when I was 18yrs old. Ever since ive loved the Monte Carlo
The Monte looks killer!!!
When I did my training day replica, I used the compete sun roof setup from a 2002 cadillac Deville. The whole tray unbolts from the car, don't forget to use the drain tubes. It's a perfect fit in the gbody. Mark my works it is literally the only sunroof setup that works perfectly and allows the glass to slide into the roof. Not that pop up sunroof bullshit. Also, the red adapters for the wheels go on the passenger side. White on the left. Or your wheels are gonna fly off when you're driving. Amd good luck with any body parts for those cars. They are a bitch to find.
Literally should have 'L' and 'R' stamped on the adapters.
My cousin did the exact same with his 79 bro lol he said the same freakin thing you did man I was laughing when I saw your post lol you two would talk for hours about that roof alone lol✌🏽
Thats sick
Dude! You are so close! Come on guys, we can help Casey get to 100k!
Hell yeah! My dude you are definitely hitting 100k 🙌🏻🙌🏻
If there isn't a reenactment of training day when this is done we gonna have problems lol
I like it. My favorite car training day monte. You have my attention. Can't wait until you're done.
Love all your builds keep up the great work love how you hit something for everyone
I'm really diggin those painted brake Rotors! Lol. Jk. The monte is gonna look awesome when it's done.
🤣🤣 they are getting replaced anyways lol
Can't wait to see you turbo can the trunk......a true Lowrider has a clean trunk setup 😉
Casey love the Monte Carlo build . I had a 76 Monte Carlo that I static slammed where the frame is an inch off the ground, but I love it drove it as often as I could.
Pretty sweet. I can't wait to see it black and on the ground Badass👌
My dad bought a black one off the show room floor, and then I wrecked it. Still good memories. P.S. it was black with red interior. Thanks for the memory.
Prayers for 100k subscribers for you Casey!!! You’re going to make it!!!
🤘🏻😃🤘🏻
Ive always loved this movie car. And u just made me wanna build my own lol. ❤
Keep the content coming bro...good stuff!!
It' really starting to come together. Looks Awesome!!
Dude your great! I feel like I'm watching Gears with that dude Stacey on Sunday morning.that Monte has kinda pulled me out of a slump.get excited Everytime I see a new video pop up.thank you.
Shows how much stance and wheels change the look of a vehicle , I'm in love
Great job on the build
I've always been a Monte Carlo fan
Looks bad ass can’t wait to see it all done!!
Looks like future peice of art! Bag & tag it, Cassey!
Love it bagging my 74 monte carlo with 22 inch spoke wheels too ,love the ride of bags over hydros
Very nice can't wait to see it finished. I had the same wheels on my 72 Impala I made the BIGGEST MISTAKE of running hydros completely ruined it I had 2 pump 10 switch 6 deep cycle marine batteries F,B,S,S! Even though I had reinforced frame still messed up. I also had 15x7 reverse 100 spoke on my 78 Caprice gloss black at that but also know the problem finding body parts, lenses, weather stripping, ect I have been contemplating bags really would love B,O,S in front & regular bags in back! Glad I found your channel keep the amazing vids coming 👍
Red knock off wheel adapter goes on the right side of the car and white goes on the left, you have it backwards, they will unscrew while going down the road and tear up the fender
Just found your channel dude, so far I love it. This Monte Carlo gets slept on and I don't know why. I grew up in a bard part of town in the 90's and used to see all manner of G bodies on hydros and these rims. One dude had a purple Riviera with the white quarter vinyl roof. Another guy I knew had a slammed Hardbody Nissan truck with similar rims. So this build really brungs back memories. Keep it up.
Looking fresh and should ride nice too with a slight bounce when fully aired up. Great job on the progress!
Awesome build, already subscribed! Its coming along nicely, looking forward to the next video
Love this build so much. Congrats on being so close to a 100k
Hey Casey. Good video. I love those rims for sure. Sorry to hear that you have been under the weather. Yea, Some guys try to take advantage of us looking for parts. I would help another gearhead out rather than make a buck. It's looking FINE. Thanks for sharing.🍁👍👍
Can’t wait to see it finished 💯
Love the hustle even when you’re shitting water 😂😂😂😂
Love the build. I can't wait to see the finished product
Bro I’m so glad ur doing bags hyros r so hard to maintain and trust me definitely don’t sound look like what the movies make it sounds like , ur doing a good job bro fuck the haters 😢
I glad you and you son are feeling better, happy belated thanksgiving bud!
love this build Casey!
Looking sweet and was a great choice to bag it
100k WOOOHOOOO well done Casey. Congrats from all the way over in Perth, Western Australia
Best build channel on RUclips. 🎊 🎊 🎉
🙌🙌
Casey your rocking this build .👍
I'm curious about the front wheels not being centered in the wheelwell? Looking good! Just an FYI you can get hydraulics to ride nice on a lay n play system. Just slap some shocks and accumulators on nothing beats the sounds of hydraulics in your lowrider.
Edit I always use a Terry cloth between the tool and knock off and always hammer the wheels on while it's jacked up. No reverse burn outs!
The two red knock-off adapter goes on the right side/ passenger side. And the two white knock-off adapter goes on the left side/ driver side. It is also stamped on the adapter's left side and right side. As well on the bullet style spinner.
Also, put a little bit of anti-seize on the threads of each adapter
I was reading thru comments to see if anyone else noticed that one white an one red on drivers side
@@souljahsent1219 yes, I saw in the video he had the red adapter on the left side/ driver side. But later in the video when he was tightening the bullet. I saw that he was knocking the bullet wrench the right way.
Casey the 1979 Monte Carlo is looking awesome with those spokes and the new tires, really starting to come alive like training day, can't wait to see when you complete the project with the air ride good luck keep up the good work...👍🏼🙌🏼💯 Jose'
99.3K subs! Go Casey!! 👍👍👍👍😎😎🛠🔧🛠🔧🥉🥉🥉🥉🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Yes, you could definitely over tighten them you can mess up the threads and stretch them
You a r e definitely to hit the 100k but I can say this much family come first when they sick it's time to take care of them get them back on the feet as always this video turned out to be one of the best to me waiting to see the paint and everything else that goes on but I know it's going to be off to change
Thank you!
I'm not a bag guy, definitely would swop out them for Hydro's, but definitely looks better
So excited for this build. Gbody’s are so fun. I’ve had 3
Looks good laying on the ground!
Music in the TRUNNNNNNKKKKK!!! Look at all that space!!!
It’s Crazy what the right wheels and right stance do to a car..
I had a 1980 monte carlo. I didn't have money to make it a low rider but it was a super clean car . . My wife had cancer and I had to sell it because she wanted to move back to GA before she died.
Also. Damn this is making me want to build a low rider.
Monte definitely coming along great
man, it’s so awesome how excited you are building your first lowrider… i was getting worried you were going to leave the red adapter on the left side, but you got her fixed up… and typically you want some never seize on the threads, also after a couple blocks of driving around, recheck your knock offs… looking forward to this build being finished, super excited for you bro…
Thank you. I got a couple comments about the red on the driverside lol. Some people think they see all 50 hours of a work week in a 15 min video. Im not going too crazy tightening them down just yet because they will come back off for paint, but the anti seize is a good tip, thank you!
Really lovin this build.. car is looking 💯 already!!!!
Nice work bro definitely following this build 💪🏾💪🏾💯
Badass bro!! Keep em coming!! Looks damn good with them Ds.
Man, what a awesome job 👍🏿💯
Very fun project!
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 congrats 🎉 100k whoop 🙌
Love your Dad's reaction to Gloss Black
Omg that car looks so dope .even though you didn't finish it.. still looks wicked . I want one
Good luck on find parts. I have a gbody and really wish I could find stuff I've been looking for.
Can’t wait for more of this build …. You will hit 100 k before the end of the day shout out to you from Mexico buddy
I have a 78 MC factory triple black landu and a 79 MC sport coupe although I cut the whole roof off of my 79 when I was in high school ...I wanted a convertible ...so I'm loving the build an I know your frustration on finding parts
Mike's Monte has a lot of things for that car.
I understand your going for the look with black, but I think a dark blue would look good to, that colour looks good
I had one my mom bought new. a '79. Wish I still had it.
Great video and congratulations on the 100k🎉
Nice like the way it's coming out
Dude the wheels are going hard. Great score
God Damn !!!! Love it
SICK🔥🔥🔥
I can't wait until it's done. I'll show you mines when it's done
I and everyone i know have always used a lead hammer brother....
Awesome build can't wait for the next vid 👍🏼✊🏽
Congrats almost to that 100k milestone 👍🏾
It's great just the way it is :) there's not much rustrods from the 70's. 100k is knocking on the door 🤩
Damn that looks so good my boi 👍👍👍
Nice build !
Cool project
New subscriber. Love the content. Center lug is called a knockoff. And I suggest maybe getting a led hammer which prevents damaging the wheel. And I always double check my knockoffs 10-15 miles after putting on then periodically every month or so after that. 20+ years of lowrider and haven’t lost a wheel yet lol
My DREAM car. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 what an awesome job dude I love it. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Love it
Use the shelf the gas tank is under the trunk floor. Alot easier access
Lead mallet you get a better hit when you're knocking them rims on then plastic that was with sand just break I don't feel like they ever get them tight enough
Oh geese you used the Mickey “Wut happen” hahaha awesome
Congrats on 100k!
Been here since you had 6K subscribers and came to say congrats on 100K subscribers Casey!!! Awesome content and learn so much from your videos!
Yo this big Block from SC and New to the channel, cool to see everyday dude doing it his way. Keep it up bro
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 enjoy the training day car
