Hey i've been watching your videos for awhile now because my nephew got me watching, you kind of remindes me of him.he loved old metal he could mig and tig weld, run a cnc he had him a 70 chevy camaro that he was working on when he started having a severe headache when he told his girlfriend that he was going to take a nap, well he never woke up he had a aneurysm in his brain and to honor his memory we're working on getting his camaro finished, keep up the great videos
I think it's awesome how you all come together and work on projects together. Anytime this many people can come together and have some sort of unity, it's impressive!
Great job Karl. I can't believe your crew knocked it out in just three days. The Buick looks beautiful. Very professional and clean. Your teamwork was exemplary. Thanks for another great video and we'll see you next time.
The 1959 Buick is such a beautiful car! They broke the mold after they made this one! Manufacturers shifted their focus onto economy, lightening vehicles and fuel economy so much that cars really lost a lot of beauty through the 80's and on up. The view of the 59 Buick from behind is so Grand! It looks like a bird spreading it's wings to take off. What an awesome car!
Thats when cars had style. Such a gorgeous car. Happy Birthday Benny! So, it turned out awesome! Many hands make light work,my hats off to the whole crew! Hydros vs air, hydros are less prone to leaks. Your discussion at the end, clarifys a lot of questions.
I was impressed by how well everyone worked together as a team, everybody pitched in and participated to help from start to finish. I could never get my friends to complete a job because everybody just wants to sit around and drink beer and nothing gets done.
The "junk in the trunk" looks more like treasure. It reminded me of that scene in Pulp Fiction where Tim Roth beholds the (luminous something) in that brief case and asks: "Is that what I think it is?" Another fabulous episode. Thank you for brightening my weekends with your luminous projects :D
Not wishing to dampen enthusiasm, but spring metallurgy is pretty important. So softening an end sufficiently to bend it flat, you run the risk of having the metallic structure changing along its length. The repeated stress cycles seen by the spring may well result in a failure near the heated portion. You might get away with it if the heating process doesn't go over an important theshold where the crystal structure changes significantly.
Karl I think this has been your best video so far. Really enjoyed it. I’ve done tons of air suspensions, but never tried hydraulics. This video made it look so simple and straight forward
I love how the installation worked out. I like the idea that the ride is the same at any height. If those are real knockoff wheels, please check for tightness regularly. I had a Vette with knockoffs, and would check them at every fill of the gas tank. That turned out not to be enough, and as a result, I lost a wheel in the middle of nowhere (Northern Ontario). So, part two, have a plan for replacing the wheel, if you lose one and a replacement wheel and nut aren't easily available.
I would bet that anyone younger than 50 didn't get the "hit the nail on the head" comment about the engine. Very good Karl. Always enjoy watching anything you put out. You are such a talented individual mate. Keep at it.
I hope people that are getting something from your channel become members and pay the 5 dollars a month. It's a small thing to give back for all the knowledge everyone here shares so freely! Thanks, Karl and to all the Make It Kustom crew for the knowledge you share!
Thanks for sharing the conversion of Benny's 1959 Buick Electra, which is a beautiful car from the day it was designed and manufactured! The wheels and everything else just make it stand out!
Jay the Florida pool pump motor repair guy. When Service Calls Longwood approved ! that was good info 2 see & know👨🔧good job !! MAK excellent well done !
love this car, You can't beat the Buicks especially in their hay day. They were very popular cars and still are.. My all time favorite is the 59,or 60 Fury with the bucket seats that swivelled and the unique space aged dash, and rectangular steering wheel. With a 426 Max Wedge motor. I'd prefer the two toned blue on white but nevertheless this 58 Buick is a gem. I'd own one myself if I didn't love my Trucks and my wifes convertible.I only have so much room in my driveway. LOL but if I can ever afford it, I'd love to own a Buick Fury from that era. THEY DEFINITELY DON'T MAKE THEM LIKE THEY USE TOO. THAT'S FOR DERN SURE.
So glad to see you working on your car. I love the way you show your work like the tig welding. I've picked up tricks on welding and fabbing parts that help me at work repairing wrecked cars
Just acquired a blown up box truck with a working lift gate. I'll be watching this very closely and taking notes because I've done a lot of bags but never hydrolics and would love to try juiceing my Thunderbird. As always fantastic work Carl. 👍
Hey, I want to show my appreciation here. After being in the hotrod/custom motorcycle industry for a long time, it's sometimes difficult to be enthusiastic about it. Your videos create just enough enthusiasm to get my own momentum going again. So, thanks man. It really is appreciated.
I'm not the low rider type of person. I would buy a truck and lift it up lol, but the 1959 Buick Electra looks great with the new suspension and wheels on it! Beautiful ride for sure!
You never cease to amaze me Karl. What a work of art Mate & totally awesome so many helped with the installation. Keep them videos coming. Billy J..... Queensland, Australia.
WOW, what a beautiful car. I've never seen one!! I'd love to see the 4 door with the suicide doors, that one sounds fantastic!!. Nice video Karl. Love your stuff.
Love the Buihog ! Had a 73 Lesabre for my first car it was a sled lol ! We put a shift kit in it in shop class lol ! Only Blue Buick around my area barking in second ! Those were the days ! Thanks for sharing always a great video here Karl ! Keep them coming.
I recon these car's are awesome I have never seen them here in Australia, looks like an interesting build, Happy Birthday Benny, all the best to yous and your loved ones
Happy birthday Benny what a car I love it I'm more of a tri 5 guy but it's a car so glad yall did this video I asked awhile back when Benny was going to be in another video I love seeing brothers work together ilk be work on a camper/ food truck for my nephew who is my brother that I'm very close with son and my brother is coming from 2 states away to paint it for him.
I am looking forward to this mod. Hard to believe you will be able to do it in 3 days. I'm a nailhead guy all the way, but wasn't crazy about the 59. Those nailhead engines were impressive, once you could ditch the DynaSlo transmission. I used a 3 spd for my swap into a 47 Chev in 1961. The engine was indestructible. Transmission.....not so much. I regret ever selling that car.
Future baby adding two more batteries 6 batteries in the two pump setup is almost just right on my mini truck 8 batteries three pumps 12 14 inch cylinders and the back get a little more lift and then you three-wheel you might half to take those shocks off and get you a slip yoke what a beautiful car setup really clean set up I like how you make those donuts for the cylinders chargers and batteries a street charger charge those batteries while you drive
Awesome car and awesome work. You guys did a amazing job I was really impressed with your garage you got everything you need to build anything you want.
My grandfathers 59 Buick is rotting away at the family farm. I vividly remember playing in the car in the 80's and the car was pristine at that time. I've always wanted to drag it out and put it back on the road.
I have a 59 Buick le Sabre with the 364 nailhead 2 spd dynaflow in the same color that I've had for about 20 years, mine is kinda ratty compared to that one though. Always wanted to bag it but haven't gotten around to it yet, might have to after seeing that though. That thing looks wicked. Love the 59 gm full size cars (all of them) they are the most beautiful cars ever built, and you don't see them very often anymore
This car is beautiful. The rear end looks like a stingray minus the tail. I'm not into the hydraulics or wire wheel stuff, but it's hard to hate that body style.
Love the build.. love hydraulics but I think fast bags would have givin the same end product.. not jumpin or 3 wheelin hydraulics is a little overkill... Other than that , Great job, team work and build..
The Buick is tight , hydraulic's was the icing on the cake with the cherry on top.. LOL.. its simple and nice....great team work guys and happy birthday benny.... 🙂👍🙏
you can go with reverse deep cups in the rear and it lets you run a little more coil and it sits down lower, over the power balls… i would also run the 2 tons up front, that’s a heavy ass car and it will still ride smooth…
I’m so sorry to hear that about your nephew Timothy. I’m sure working on that Camaro is a great way to honour him 🙏
I think it's awesome how you all come together and work on projects together. Anytime this many people can come together and have some sort of unity, it's impressive!
This is my absolute favorite part about working on cars for sure
@@MakeItKustom I can tell you all are passionate about it!
Always love it when a group of friends can get together and work on a project!
I still remember my dads 1960 Buick, beautiful car, and anything and everything he had chromed inside to
Great job Karl. I can't believe your crew knocked it out in just three days. The Buick looks beautiful. Very professional and clean. Your teamwork was exemplary. Thanks for another great video and we'll see you next time.
Locked in the trunk of a car. The Tragically Hip. I do the karaoke thing ✌️😀👍❤️

Headlights and the fins are stunning. Excellent work gentlemen. Thanks for the video.
Killer build! Awesome to see a non-show lowrider that's actually a driver👍👍
One of the best so far! That was so rad to see it before and after! With all the hydro boys too.
Well done Benny, she’s gorgeous! Great 50cc POV!
Bahhaha 50cc POV is what’s up
You have some serious fabrication skills, karl! I always enjoy watching your channel. I'm always learning something.
Thats when cars had style. Such a gorgeous car. Happy Birthday Benny!

Yea ! Shannon’s 62? I am learning to love hydraulics more for aure. Love the instant lift and no leaks.
I love how the installation worked out. I like the idea that the ride is the same at any height.

I was just about to make that comment to Hydraulics and standard standard set of wires
Good job guys. First oil leak you will find out that you will need to move electrical parts up and out of the way. Very good job
I'm like you guys in the fact that I love the looks of a 59 Buick either bagged or hydroed. Sick looking ride.
Jay the Florida pool pump motor repair guy. When Service Calls Longwood approved ! that was good info 2 see & know👨🔧good job !! MAK excellent well done !

That's a real cool ride !!! Congratulations Karl nice job and the guys all helping and talking about it ! Beautiful Car
So glad to see you working on your car. I love the way you show your work like the tig welding. I've picked up tricks on welding and fabbing parts that help me at work repairing wrecked cars
Love HOPPO'S !! I buy all of my hydrolic components from them, they are now located in Riverside!
Older Buick electra's are just nice looking cruisers anyway. We called them boats back then lol
Cool when everyone comes together
Just acquired a blown up box truck with a working lift gate. I'll be watching this very closely and taking notes because I've done a lot of bags but never hydrolics and would love to try juiceing my Thunderbird. As always fantastic work Carl. 👍
Awesome ride, gorgeous stance, fantastic team work. Bravo 😀
That car is bad ASS. Great job. I have never seen one of those cars before.
Man i would love to have a shop with these all of your tools and machines. Love this how your close friends come together to help..
Hey, I want to show my appreciation here. After being in the hotrod/custom motorcycle industry for a long time, it's sometimes difficult to be enthusiastic about it.
Your videos create just enough enthusiasm to get my own momentum going again. So, thanks man. It really is appreciated.
I spy a new tattoo! Nice work guys. I've never dealt with hydros before so I'm learning something new today.
The wheels look awesome on the Buick!
That car is beautiful! The color makes it look like it can fly and blend into the clouds.
Cars will always bring friends together and make new ones ...
I'm not the low rider type of person. I would buy a truck and lift it up lol, but the 1959 Buick Electra looks great with the new suspension and wheels on it! Beautiful ride for sure!
I had no idea what hydrolics involved . Wow , thanks for enlightening us . Great work .
You never cease to amaze me Karl. What a work of art Mate & totally awesome so many helped with the installation. Keep them videos coming. Billy J..... Queensland, Australia.
Man this was a lot of fun!
WOW, what a beautiful car. I've never seen one!! I'd love to see the 4 door with the suicide doors, that one sounds fantastic!!. Nice video Karl. Love your stuff.
Lol the 1980s adult film music going on while dudes tag teaming the pump 45mins in 😆. Pure genius.

Love the Buihog ! Had a 73 Lesabre for my first car it was a sled lol ! We put a shift kit in it in shop class lol ! Only Blue Buick around my area barking in second ! Those were the days ! Thanks for sharing always a great video here Karl ! Keep them coming.

I like the little discussion at the end. I saw the hour and a half time stamp and was like "that's too much for my attention" 😄
Brings back memories of Belinda Carlisle driving that 59 convertible! Wheels look great! Nice job, fellas!
Way to go guy's. Nice to see well executed plan come together and stay on track .
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BENNY
WOW! All that junk in the trunk, and Benny still has enough room for a couple or three bodies!!! Nicely done ✌️😀👍
Wow, that looks so fits that car. Great job, all of you. Incredible work 👏 🙌 .

Yes. I've been waiting for this video. I saw this car out in the wild a few weeks ago. What a beautiful machine.
Right on ! You must have seen us driving to go film a bit. That’s the only time it’s been out
This video is inspiring me to put a hydraulics set up in my 51 Merc mild custom!! Thanks 🙏🏼
Man that car is already badass as is!.. I wouldn't even turn it into a lowrider.
Such a gorgeous vehicle 😍 she’s in amazing condition
Awesome car and awesome work. You guys did a amazing job I was really impressed with your garage you got everything you need to build anything you want.
My grandfathers 59 Buick is rotting away at the family farm. I vividly remember playing in the car in the 80's and the car was pristine at that time. I've always wanted to drag it out and put it back on the road.
Would you sell it
@King David it's not mine to sell, if I get my hands on it I'll build it myself.

I have a 59 Buick le Sabre with the 364 nailhead 2 spd dynaflow in the same color that I've had for about 20 years, mine is kinda ratty compared to that one though. Amazing job As always, I don't even breathe until the video ends, you're a machine
Beautiful Ride , nice to so many come together!
Really enjoy the content of your channel , the variety is great
This car is beautiful. The rear end looks like a stingray minus the tail. I'm not into the hydraulics or wire wheel stuff, but it's hard to hate that body style.
I've never been a huge fan of hydraulics. Never disliked them either, but this is the perfect ride for this style.
Awesome...what a great team... lookin goood 👍
Love the build.. love hydraulics but I think fast bags would have givin the same end product.. not jumpin or 3 wheelin hydraulics is a little overkill... Other than that , Great job, team work and build..
How can you NOT love this car! Perfect body style for slamming. Nice winter project ready for spring.
Awesome build with all your homies involved. 👊🏾💯💯💯💯
Karl, I need this done to my van , 🤘🏻🤘🏻🇨🇦
Low riders are still popular to this day. Especially in LA. Don’t hate on your boy 😂
I love how big the trunks are on old cars , with that system in you still have room for 3 body’s lol
Looking good boys well done
That fresh ink is sweet!
That thing is siiiick, well done!
Great job. Benny has a awsome ride..
Het Karl if you know of a blacksmith locally, they would thank you for donating the coil springs because of the metal type. just a thought.
The Buick is tight , hydraulic's was the icing on the cake with the cherry on top.. LOL.. its simple and nice....great team work guys and happy birthday benny.... 🙂👍🙏
I was wondering how you got those great driving shots until I saw the reflection of the minibike in the paint. The looks great.
Absolutely brilliant Carl Buick looks killer. Jamie from Scotland
Sweet Car. I would have went with Blue Flake Metallic in the clear coat for some sparkle. Great Video. Thanks for Sharing.
Clean LowLow Nothing like the sound of HYDROS 😎
you can go with reverse deep cups in the rear and it lets you run a little more coil and it sits down lower, over the power balls… i would also run the 2 tons up front, that’s a heavy ass car and it will still ride smooth…
Awesome job. I have the same kit from hoppos in my 65 Impala
Sweet job man that's one badd buick
Really enjoyed this episode. Nice work and the car's stance is awesome.
Thanks Tim! I was worried it wasn’t gonna get that low for a minute there
Love your videos Karl! And that is one beautiful car! But damn, I’d SUBMERGE that underside in some rust kind of rust converter, before it’s too late😉
Very nice old Car, i love all the Glass.
