Give you a great hit use a gallon sprayer like those you pump and spray like insect sprayer. Then just spray it on and the other go behind with a brush to catch and drippings and put in crease. Take 15 minutes with sun beating right on it I would put a second coat. This is how we seal our barn walls and decks
Thank you Lisa Ann. Sometimes they are, I have to keep everyone’s attention for the length of the videos to be successful, when I edit I don’t ever know how long that will be🫶
Thanks, it’s almost done!! Seriously!! Im so excited!! We are suppose to have that Arctic Blast in the next 2 weeks so I need these babies in their new coop FAST!!
That coop is really looking good. You did a great job on it. Can hardly tell in front that it is a Conex container. Would look good with a wooden roof overhang in front. Or not. Moving right along.
The new chicken coop looks fantastic, job well done and a good idea. Would like to wish you and your family a very Happy New Year and all the best life can offer. 🎄🇨🇦❤️
When you do, you will have endless possibilities!! I go exploring in the woods, just drive around at dusk for our "dates", bring binos and look for deer or woodpeckers, drive around and talk about things we can do in the future. There is nothing like having neighbors far away, no city noises or light, I could never go back to town! Best Wishes for your 30 acres!
Watching on the 2nd, nice relaxing video. Coop is really great. Cold and clear up here in Illinois. Ryan Hall says we might get dumped on early next week. Hope not.
Way too late now …. But on a similar project I found it was so much easier to seal all my lumber before I even began cutting and installing it. Then just a little touch up and you’ll be done.
The chicken coop looks fantastic. Just wondering if you will be installing nesting boxes and roosting bars (I think that's what you call them)? Also, will there be some type of fence around the coop so the wild critters don't get in and kill them? You need to get a patent on these coops and start selling them. Of course, that would mean you would have to hire a crew to build them and that eat up your profit.
Hold your horses friend :) Yes, all inside coops need roost bars and nest boxes. We are not there yet:) I wish there was a business to reproduce this, I am not sure it would be economic for the general backyard chicken lover :)
In my Gen Pop coop, I change it once a year. I start with sand then in the winter I go to deep litter method, in the spring, shovel it all out and go back to fresh sand.
Wagner power sprayer...😂😅 10 minutes, you're done. Thompsons is a great weather sealer, and yes, it'll make faded cedar look like new, until it doesn't. 😅 I suggest getting and using a sandtrap rake, it should do an awesome job smoothing the sand and catching the debris 😮😊 Love ya'll ❤️

That chicken coop looks amazing. Another benefit with the sand is it’s a natural grit and chickens love sand baths!
Y’all‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ It looks SO good😍😍😍
Sand will Help in the coop . Nice to see a family working together . Thanks for sharing . SEEYA
Use rags, your making a longer job of it....a rag will butt right up to the edges immediately and you won't have to go over it again
It is so wonderful that you get to record, these sweet memories in life. Much Joy, Peace and Love in 2025.
Absolutely love how you made your chicken coop.

Man those stalls look great!
Looks great guys
The best way I ever found for large jobs like that is a garden sprayer. Adjust it to a fine spray and go to work.
This is such a pretty coop. Looking great!❤😊

Good job
Happy New Year to you all.
Take care
Thanks so much! Happy New Year to you too! 😊
Line the tray with tinfoil. That way you just remove the tinfoil instead of cleaning the tray.❤
🎉❤Happy Blessed New Year! From Montverde, Florida
Happy New Year to you too! 😊
A paint brush would have been much easier since it gets in the corners better.
Watching on the 2nd, nice relaxing video. Coop is really great. Cold and clear up here in Illinois. Ryan Hall says we might get dumped on early next week. Hope not.
Wondering were you been
We are here :) Posted 3 days ago :)
Put a latex gloves on and use a rag , it muc faster using a rag and u get into the crevices better 😉
I talk from lots of experience
I will keep that in mind!! Thanks!

What to put inside your spray gun and spray it on there on the inside also
Yes, I am 1st
Yay Connie !!
How often do you change your sand on coop
In my Gen Pop coop, I change it once a year. I start with sand then in the winter I go to deep litter method, in the spring, shovel it all out and go back to fresh sand.
@ParagonRidgeRanch what's the deep litter method with sand
🙋🙋🙋🙋👀🇵🇷
A cheap spray gun might be easier ma’am
Howdy 🤠 all looking 👀 absolutely amazing love you all God bless
Thank you so much!! 🥰
With all that sand what about sand fleas on your chickens.
never had sand fleas, have used sand in my Gen pop coop for 8 years.
In an enclosed area won’t the ammonia from the urine makes the whole place stink?
@@Creative-Chaos it’s completely open. And if your coop stinks like ammonia, you have a disgusting coop
