This was one of your more fun episodes to watch. As a 90’s teen, the craze was all about subs, amps, and boom tubes! My 67’ Chevelle had the distinct sound of 3” Flowmasters and a trunk that rattled because of my 12” Kickers. Miss the 90’s.

I had a mazda 2000 mini pickup with two 12" subs and a 600w kicker amp mounted in the bed with pass through vents that went into the cab. Then inside the cab, 2 10" subs behind the seats, with bandpass filters on all the subs, back ones with the lowest, and midbass inside the cab on the tens. 6" mids and highs on the doors, and tweeters under the dash. It was so clear and clean. And rattling peoples pictures off the walls a block away! I miss the 90's too.

I still haven't gotten away from subs in every vehicle I own lmao. Probably why I'm 34 having to get repeats every time someone says something to me lol

@@izzyplusplusplus1004 That truck you had is the pinnacle of 90's audio man! I had a Chevy s-10 with a blow through and 3 - 10" MTX Blue Thunder subs, Rodek amp ( all bought second hand while i was in high school!) lowered with a bell tech drop kit, 350 chevy engine. Miss those days! Now I own a Automotive shop and thinking of bringing back the 90's low rider truck I had or a Mazda B2200 extended cab truck.

The 90s was my time back in the day. Going to high school in Atlanta, some of the students at my school had hard hitting sound systems in their cars that could not be beat. I even helped design a couple. Back then it was all about that bass!

AWESOME! I grew up in this scene as well. Never had the high end stuff in my trucks, but I had the love for it. Still today even though high power gear is far more affordable, very little gives the same impact (to eyes AND ears) as a well designed, properly tuned professional installation. I LOVE this......

The mini truck scene made a comeback cause the trucks have become incredibly affordable. You can get a second gen s10 for around $3k, invest around $6 or $7k in upgrades, so for around $10k you get yourself a daily driving show truck. And there’s tons of interchangeable parts. You can get interior part from a really nice bravada and bring the truck up to date and make it comfortable.

Back in 95, we would have sawed that bed completely out and have 4 15” subs with a massive punch, Orion, ppi, or even a linear power amp blowing the windows out of that thing. While sitting in 15x10 deep dish reverse hammers with the wheels sticking out wide. Good times

Just watched the show. Very cool. Car audio still thrives in me. Check out my ‘04 F-150 8200 GVW. Has an Alpine stereo, 10,000 watts, 13 Alpine amplifiers, 16 vocal speakers, 6 10” subwoofers in a custom, 2 section sub box. Has dual alternators, dual charging systems, Alpine alarm, separate self built alarm for the amplifiers enclosure and so much More. Doesn’t matter what music you are listening to, whether it’s music that wants to tear the truck apart or music that gives you goosebumps, it sounds absolutely fantastic.

First mistake, rockford fosgate. You need to check your speaker and amp specs. Kicker makes better speakers all around and there are better amps (Boss, etc) for less $$$$. Sorry guys, better choices all around....

What I'm saying specifically is Kicker for speakers are better and when I bought my Boss amp for my Sony head unit it had better specs and was cheaper than rockford fosgate and it sound clean and clear = awesome. Also, it's properly stated, Boss is better THAN, not then.😉@@delduce7613
