All good except that drop spindles are a BIG no-no considering you’re losing 2” of much needed down travel for drag and/or street racing! The goal is having the front tires ON the ground for as long as possible while the front lifts for weight transfer👌🏼
thought i showed up to see a little sprucing up of the ol S-10, no it soon turned into a Nightmare beyond epic preportions wait its the round body, Woohoooo dont forget to cut the other piece to
Never messed with the DOT street slicks until here recently. I purchased a really nasty S10 with an LS6 (had one of those cams that made people lock their doors at the red light lol) T56 Magnum 6 sp dual disc clutch, 8.8" Ford Moser axles, 4.88:1 & the DOT street slicks & penny's up front. I had noticed that the windshield wiper blades were in horrible shape & needed replaced which I mentioned to the guy..... Now I do remember his response clear as day which was "Oh I wouldn't worry about those too much" but in one ear & out the other..... So I'm rolling down the hwy about 75mph & hit this huge freak rain storm which was when the guys response about not worrying about the wiper blades truly had meaning. They don't play any role in functionality when you're using the passenger door window as the windshield lol
7649.34 + shipping today 10/5/24 lol. Oh and i paid 7$ for 12 eggs earlier. Yay Math! BOOO CURRENT ECONOMIC STRATEGIES! Not going to stop building S-Series Chassis though. Just cant...
V8 transplant into S/T trucks are played out. Be nice to see a L3B 2.7 turbo transplant hooked to a 4L60E or a 4L80E project. GM performance peeps, you reading this. When will you have a crate option of the L3B for the market?
just curious what painless wiring harness you used because the ass hats at painless were no help to me. Those douche bags acted like they didn't even want to sell me a harness,
As usual, cut out for enormous tubs then use tires and rims that are too narrow. Use spacers so the front wheels stick out to the edge of the fenders. Horrible look.
Love the old classic TV stuff
A small spunky looking badass S10 it's coming along.
We've got Haulin S10. Next we need some more on Line Dime.

Exactly why I skipped the drop spindles on my Sonoma. Also figured they wouldn't be a good match for my fenderwell headers.
Then those s10's and sonoma's are already as light as a Foxbody mustang putting in a big block your trying too go too the moon
Drop spindles only relocate the wheel center to the chassis. Does nothing to the suspension travel unless the spring height is shortened.
Love this project guys

Square body life

If you have a spool in the rear end it would be a good reason you might have gone sideways.
@@heshtesh didn't have a spool, 8.8 Detroit Locker 4.88:1
Sweet s-10

Pretty sweet if money is no object,,
Can you put the date this episode was originally released in the description?
It’s quite old
Yeah it's old because I remember those Old pro Street kits they had in the car magazines
The end says 2007
You could probably buy an old S10 for the cost of that rear end. LoL 😏
Yup, I bought 2. An 86 SB S10 for $1300 and a 91 SB S10 for $1200. Both rust-free and straight as an arrow.
May need to bake a bit more than 15mins......
That mfr wouldn’t fall out of a tree
Also this episode is 20 years old and somehow mfrs in the comments act like it was filmed yesterday
the actual costs on this back half is about 10k
part 2?
What year is this truck
I would've put twin turbos on the 4.3 v6 or would've put a built Honda K24 with a turbo and mods to turn over 1000 horsepower.
Why don't build a Ford Ranger like you guys are doing the S10?
Low 7s in the 1/8th? I was running mid 7s in the 1/8th with a 1978 Trams Am and bone stock 400. All I did was slicks and 200 shot nitrous.
thats slow with that much nitrous lol
@@thor1252002 I thought it was pretty good with a $300 junkyard motor.
Why would you cut out the old frame rails though I understand it would add weight but it would most certainly add rigidity
So they can fit bigger tires in the rear. That's the whole point of the narrower rear end and backhalfed.
Being that 9inch are getting really hard to find, why not a 8.8??? It's lighter, takes less power to turn, & is just as capable.
Brand new 9" from Quick Perfromance are very reasonably priced.
8.8s are getting rare now also. Especially if you want a disc brake no rust version.
