    2:30: Wrong part number for extractor. Correct part numbers are:
    Alfa / Fiat: 1860854000
    Opel: EN-46790
    Peugeot / Citroen: 0188-P
    Otherwise great work, thank you!

    Hey fix and drive, a old but good video, one Questionen. do you have re-installed the wedge of the high pressure pump? So many forum threads say that wedge must not be reinstalled.

    On the JTDm it is also necessary to remove (or grind down) the high pressure pump bracket.

    Hi, i know its late but you say that you need to put new intake + actuator? What if my actuator is fine? I have no error code just the rod is loose and flaps no longer work. But no error code so far

    The Pump sprocket bolts to engine then undo pump bolts, then pump can be removed,

      One of the dumbest engineering mistake ever : direct injection with annoying intake manifold removal

    This video probes it's not a good idea to do this if you're not a mechanic or have done similar things in the past.
    I cleaned the egr valve and it was pretty hard for me... :(

    Can bad working Swirlflaps couse a bad start up? Somtimes it takes about 35 seconds to start up . my Batarie 75 amp work good. Starter moter also . Somtimes guess 1s a week a fault code .... (Swirl flaps actuator . ??? Or ?? Can some one tell me were to look at ? (Same engine as video)

    • @fixanddrive

      I don't think so. Perhaps the started is faulty, perhaps the glow plugs, perhaps the timing is wrong

    • @jeroenkerstens4139

      @@fixanddrive glow plugs ? Do they even work above warmer starting temp? Its summer starter gets enough power its that first compresion looks like . In kinda new with modern diesels so correct me if im wrong

    • @fixanddrive
      @fixanddrive  4 года назад +1

      @@jeroenkerstens4139 Some say they work all year round. Indeed if the compression is great, the engine will fire up even with no glow plugs. That's why we need a sound starter to build up compression. I've seen numerous cases of faulty starters. They seem to be rotating as they should, yet they don't.
