    This is what excities me about japan. The cleanliness, calmness, work ethic, and honesty that they show in each and every single thing that they do, including making something simple as sushi, is truly mesmerizing and amazing.

      +TokyoStreetView - Japan The Beautiful I agree, It definitely depends on the country and how food is handled. In Japan, sushi along with just about everything is handled with extreme care. Some Asian countries, you should never eat raw fish because of how it is stored and prepared. No one should you eat sushi from a fish that's been baking in the sun in a bacteria filled pool of water then cut up on a dirty bloody cutting board. Of course, people that have only lived this way think that all food is riddled with bacteria, which is not the case.

      Ok "the best sushi" is it d name of the restourant or is it ur opinion?
      If it is your opinion, would you mind to share what makes it deserve to have the title "the best"?

    • @TokyoStreetView
      @TokyoStreetView  9 лет назад +4

      +Kuma Gawa Hi, this is a shared opinion that I have with many others. Now why is that? First their sushi, the raw material is just fantastic, they are not mean in terms of quantity but keep the perfect balance required for a good sushi and they are affordable. I have been in many places in Tokyo and this is the one I always come back to.
      Jiro has great sushi, but the price of these Sushi make it a reap off, you are paying for a Brand more than for the food and people around the world are blinded by that. Ask around in Japan, not many people actually knows Jiro.

    actually used to have a place like this but ours one of those kids of restaurants where all of the food came around to all of the tables on small boats which floated around on a small lake and when the boat came around to your table that contained the food that you wanted, you would just take it off the boat.......very interesting to see all those small boats filled with food floating around to all the tables like it did......

      I am amazed people eat raw fish. It can be teeming with toxic bacteria...these things are microscopic..the cleanest fresh from the sea fish can be infested with deadly organisms which can only be killed by thoroughly cooking the meat. The typical Salmonella and Vibrio vulnificus are the primary dangers. These are about 2 microns long. A micron is one millionth of a meter, invisible to the naked eye.

      I've worked in the food industry all my life and the things I see behind the kitchen will disgust you to where you will never want to eat out again. There are people out there who just don't give a damn about your health. Just watch Kitchen Nightmare and you'll see what I mean.

      YOu should see some restaurant in state side. Where sushi bar was small, and the sushi cooks don't have access to a sink. They were literally wiping their hands on their aprons.

      +imisslola321 You see, most of the time you are paying for the location and brand and the raw material and experience is most of the time a fraction of the cost of your meal. You can find amazingly expensive sushi in Japan that are some time barely better than the ones on this video. The difference will simply the location (fancy restaurant, and fancy brand). This is true as well for every kind of food around the world.

      I agree I don't believe in super expensive Sushi Restaurant in Japan.........most of the time I make my own such as Toro sushi in the small town in US.........I satisfied with it.........I pay $15 .....and cut really thin with sharp Japanese knife.......I can taste the deliciousness all right...........this way,I don't have to go Sushi Restaurant run by Korean and they are so incredibly expensive! no thanks...........

      +TokyoStreetView - Japan The Beautiful I totally agree what you said. Another thing is some restaurant owners understand what rich people is thinking. Therefore they priced their food at higher price because most rich people think cheaper price is not a good thing even they are the same quality. I've some wealthy friend always think like that. The main point is. They are showing off they can afford it not because the food has the same quality at a cheaper price. The conclusion is the Universe has its balance. Somebody has to create some thing super expensive for the wealthy to buy. Otherwise the rich people will go crazy.
