Compliments to the chef! That's some good work he's doing. I don't know that I would want to cook in front of an audience but he does it well. The food looks interesting but too pricey for me.

I think it's a good deal for the ingredients you're getting, abalone alone is expensive, in fact I've never tried it.

I'm in San Francisco, so things are obviously expensive here, but i agree that 120 for that meal, for two people, with such fantastic presentation and personal service is a fantastic deal.
But my sense of pricing is definitely skewed.

The prices were right! I figured how much per item and it actually comes to about $80.00 each. Fresh high quality food, cooked by a chef to taste. This chef is the epitome of professionalism.
The filmography and subtitles were on point.
As usual, Mrs. Bacon's adorable enthusiastic smiling approval was the cherry on the top.
I have to say that despite I respect Japanese culture, I find it still extrange that the chef would serve first Mr. Bacon and then Mrs. Bacon. In many cultures, this would have been done the other way around. I am still trying to assimilate this values. It is a cultural shock for me.

@@ms.annthrope415Idk where you live but in my country this is obscenely cheap. Even if I go to a cheap restaurant I can expect to pay 40$ (for things like a hamburger and 2 drinks). Just these steaks would be 60$ easily.

Coming from someone who doesn't even know how to correctly write "$66".. I'm not surprised.

Love the videos. I also find it interesting that the man seems to get served first, a refreshing change.

The fact you’d pay that these days much for chain restaurant tappanyaki in the states is sad. I can’t wait to get back to Japan.

I can't believe they had an air conditioner next to your table in December! That food looks amazing, and I'm so jealous of the yuzu sorbet. I've never even seen a yuzu in eastern USA, but I do have juice, so I might have to make some sorbet. Thank you for sharing!

I’ve started seeing lychee appearing in stores here and there- maybe yuzu will be next, lol.

Nothing goes to waste here. Everything serves a purpose..even the extra or not so pristine napkins to neaten up the grill! Bravo!

This looked amazing thank you for sharing the experience, do the restaurants ever wonder what you're up to recording this stuff? or do they just politely ignore it?

What a lovely dining experience! And for the amount of food and the skill it took to prepare it, it was reasonably priced.
