My favorite part of my Japan trip in May was the Shinkansen down from Tokyo to Osaka. Had a Katsu sando, Kombu and Genmaicha onigiri, A beef Yakinuku and Pork Shogayaki bento. Washed it all down with a Kirin Ichiban as I watched the cityscape flash past in a blur. I cannot wait to go back to Japan.

Yes, only in Japan. Very courteous & considerate while in public. Here in the Philippines, the passengers will be chatting like they're in their own home.
I love that so much :) in Germanys public transport people often do phone or videocalls, use bad headphones or none to hear music or watch something on their mobile device and lot of people are simply rude. :(
Has always been on my bucket list to go on a Japanese bullet train, if I ever end up going I will be sure to check these foods out. They outright look delicious
I am So jealous of the amount of quality food you can get in the train stations in Japan - those ekiben boxes is food art in itself, and the number of varieties is just mind-boggling - you can get everything, and something for anybody's taste! Here in Europe we can only get cheap crap! No matter what country you go through on a train, the only thing they can offer is low quality, overpriced junk food crap! I can't even remember how many times I got diarrhea from buying food on, or near, a train station in Europe. Only one street food booth stood out, a small booth outside Gare du Nord in Paris run by a middle aged woman that sold baguettes'/flutes with high quality ham, cheese, salat and Dijon dressing - they were sooo good, and even reasonably priced. But as said, it was the diamond in the mud hole.
I know these were all done across multiple days and times, but in my heart, it was you eating all of these back to back in one day and just hopping trains in between meals.
Those Bento boxes look so delicious and made with such care. The Japanese do everything with such an artistic touch. Very nicely presented. With Love, from the USA 🇺🇸 ❤️
I had to smile at your 'meatball and quail egg combo'! Here in the UK, we've had such a combo for decades now. We call ours 'Scotch Eggs' and they are considered a picnic or buffet dish. Generally, Scotch Eggs are small hard boiled chicken eggs, wrapped in pork sausage meat, then bread-crumbed and deep fried. They can be eaten hot , warm or cold depending on your tastes. If you want a daintier bite, you can use quail eggs, and as we have a vast range of sausages, the sausage meat can vary, too. I daresay you could probably make them with fish, such as smoked haddock, or salmon, too, and they'd still be a tasty morsel to eat!
Wow! That was quite a vlog! I’m planning a fifth trip to Japan for 2024. We use trains quite a bit, but we rarely eat on them. You have encouraged us to buy more bento for our journeys.
If more of your population would park their climate-destroying personal vehicles and use the UK's extensive rail network, then the demand would probably be enough for someone to manufacture meals like these at an affordable price.
Even worse than America unless you take an overnight train. I guess the good thing is, you can always stop somewhere and bring your own food. just be blessed in Britain that your government has at least taken steps to get the artificial preservatives and additives out of your food. Whereas, I think America is probably last place in the entire world. What I consider purposely poisoning the population. Hopefully, within an administration change in the next few months, that’s going to be solved. As it is a major running point for him and his cabinet members. Hope all is well. Hope to visit your country sometime soon.

Can't even imagine the British rail service running on time... 😂
During victorian times you could set your watch by them, and right up to the fifties, nationalism 'British Rail' was probably the worst thing to happen to our railways, paradoxically, privatisation which was supposed to rejuvenate and restore that pioneering spirit was also a disaster by the way it was broken up, with separate companies responsible for different elements of the network, like tracks and maintenance, stations, and the trains themselves, unbelievably our new government is once again going to renationslise the system, but that's going to be an even bigger disaster due to the bureaucratic and cack-handed way they operate, we can never go back to the start unfortunately.
Besides the snacks and instant food the bento videos are also something I watch a lot from you and now seeing you post a full almost 40 mintues long video with nothing but train bentos has been a blessing, keep up the amazing work!
That round salmon bowl with the rice looked so good! I always watch your videos at dinnertime or I get very hungry! I love all of your videos and love seeing the ones you do with the lady. She's so adorable and cute!

Simple but Amazing. I love seeing what Bentos Japan has to inspire my meals. Thank you for sharing a little bit of Japan and other nations life and culture with us.
This video is such a delight. I love all of these eki-bens and as someone who is weird about food textures and has a variety of allergies - so many of these would get me to try things I never thought I would try, food-wise! I appreciate how balanced these are; palate cleansers and pickles and greens for digestion. Always such a thoughtful way of eating!
Y'all are making me miss Japan even more, now! Those all looked wonderful and next time I go and end up on the Shinkansen? I will see about getting one or two Ekiben to see how good they are.
Another amazing video! Everything looked so good. Thank you for the wonderful memories of riding the trains, and at each stop everyone rushing out to get bento boxes or something to drink, then quickly getting back to their seats before the train took off again.
