3:40 They actually had one of those in a lounge in my university. Sandwiches, salads, milk, pudding cups - it was a one-stop lunch spot. 17:17 One of the first ever portable TVs, it was marketed as something to take with you camping or to the beach. Just plug it into your car's cigarette lighter, turn it on, and tune in a station. (Assuming you could find one, that is.)
Oh man, just seeing this restaurant reminded me of an old Crayon Shin-chan movie. “The Storm Called: Adult Empire Strikes Back” It really felt like this restaurant is inspired by that exact movie. Oh boy, just remembering that movie made me feel so old…
Extremely good video, I love your travel content. The food reviews are cool but even better when you’re somewhere new trying interesting things. I watch your videos to fall asleep, about 3 years now. Congratulations on your continued RUclips success and have safe travels.
Japanese vending mechines are like a arcade and a snack mechine all rolled into one. When you buy food from one of these vending mechines and you win like the jackpot or something it rewards you with free food. Thats one of the reasons why I like japan.
Thank you for one more awesome video! I love places like this, miss times when i was boy and visiting local arcade room. Now its closed for almost 20 years already...
10:31 Just in case the jet fighter doesn't ring a bell for you, that says "MiG" at the top in Russian. Interesting choice for a roulette game! Was fun watching you two go berserk on that whack-a-critter game, too!
They had a Kamen Rider V3 statue, that automatically gets it points from me! Y'all were having way too much fun playing Whack-A-Mole, it looked like, too! If ever I get a chance, this is another place I'd have to add to my itinerary of places to go to in Japan.
Oh man! I may not live there but seeing some of those vending machines remind me of a time when I was young and being able to get a soda pop from an old school vending machine like that with my family. It was amazing!
Afterburner, and Side by Side 2, where my endless childhood thrills, SEGa, and TAITO, never stopped amazed me with their games. Anyway, no one is going to talk about the tiny Dome Zero, and the Peugeot 205 Rally car?
After Burner is a good old SEGA game from the 80s. Came out the year after Top Gun if I am correct. I remember playing it back then. I recognized the game from the screen before I saw the game title. Odd how some things just come right to mind, even after 30+ years.
What a fun video. I admire your sense of adventure and confidence. I would be too shy to make my own cotton candy or try some of the foods you eat. Miss Bacon's smile is so charming.
Great little place you found! I could see coming here just to get the packaging to bring home as souvenirs. Please visit more retro places when you find them!
I'm super into vintage stuff (I LOVE vintage and antique stores), so I'd definitely want to check this place out. :) Edit: It was funny to keep hearing the whack-a-mole machine in the background. 😂
Today is back in time, the food looked delicious 😋, that cotton candy looked like fun to make 😅. A lot of drinks to choose from 😮. Those playing machines look like fun to play, it takes you back when you played like a kid 😂. This video was very much enjoyable to watch you play 😅.
That Afterburner game brings back memories. We had one at a local 7-11. I spent so many afternoons (and quarters) after school playing it with my friends. Such a cool game.
ssoo i see you also watch other vloggers vlogs ..... as japan traveler was here ........ but great to see different parts that was not covered or cut out for time !
I want that giant Ultraman statue for my brother. He used to run around the neighborhood when he was little and declare to the neighbors, ''I Am UTTAH-MAN! lol. 😄😄 Back in the 70's America played a lot of Japanese shows that were dubbed.
The reason why drinks taste better in glass is simple: In plastic bottles the drink gets over time microplastic and gets a more plastic taste. In cans, the outside gets sterilized with hot water, getting the drink inside unnecessary "cooked". In glass bottles, it gets filled up and done, nothing else happens to it, preserving its original taste.
And modern soft plastic bittles also let outside odours seep through into the soda slowly. Storing current soda bottles in a root cellar or a garage for longer than a few weeks is a bad idea.
Plastic degrades, glass doesn't. All drinks taste better in glass. I even saw a video where a woman put strawberries in a glass jar and some in a ziploc bag. The ones in the jar did not rot for the longest.
9:46 Yo, a Super Hang-On arcade machine?! I need to mark this place on my map for itinerary reasons! I ALWAYS wanted to play the Super Hang-On arcade machine! Edit: And After Burner?! Oh this place would be my heaven!
what about Side by Side 2 Evoluzione, one of TAITO's classics too if you are into JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) Car Culture. Also, at the beginning after the Kamen Rider statue, there was a Red Dome Zero P2, and a Peugeot 205 Rally Car 😇😇😇
Ohhh nice!!! Back to a place you have been to in a previous video hopefully we see some new stuff instead of the exact same stuff in a previous video about this place
THE MR BURGER ALWAYS SEEMS TO BE REALLY GOOD. i WONDER IF TECHNICALLY THEY'RE STILL IN BUISNESS OR IF IT'S JUST THE PEOPLE WHO OWN THE MACHINE MAKING THE BURGERS/BUYING THEM FROM SOMEWHERE
This is the 2nd time I´ve seen a "Mr. Burger" at Dancing Bacon´s channel, some similar channels show them too. Seems like everyone loves them, since they are delicious. But in this video there seems to be not the "original" burgers, but the replacements seem to be delicious too. Reminds me of a time ( somewhen in the 90s ) where you could have some very delicious microwaved burgers at most gas stations. You took them from the fridge, paid for them, nuked them in the provided microwave oven and feasted on them. They were oh-so-delicious 😋
I wish we had vending machines and stuff like this here in the states. It's so boring here we have nothing unique like in Japan, Korea and Indonesia. There are a bunch of other places as well that I didn't mention. Thank you for sharing another great experience with us!
19:50 This is called DAGASHI. In Japan, there were many small stores selling many small sweets like this. When I was a child, I used to go to buy DAGASHI with coins in my pocket. Japanese children learn the importance of money and money calculation by shopping for DAGASHI. The stores selling DAGASHI are a community and a place of relaxation for children.
Touring Japan visiting as many vending machines as I can is a bucket list kinda thing for me.... it just looks like so much fun.
This is why I love coming to this channel you find the coolest things among other amazing content

Wow!
Looks like a wonderful day out, filled with nostalgia, games & food 😊 Can't wait for more videos!
7:25 Hearing the insect calls in the background brings back fond memories of visiting Japan.
Oh man, just seeing this restaurant reminded me of an old Crayon Shin-chan movie. “The Storm Called: Adult Empire Strikes Back”
It really felt like this restaurant is inspired by that exact movie. Oh boy, just remembering that movie made me feel so old…
Congratulations for 3m🎉….love ur videos!

The relief I felt when you finally figured out the cotton candy machine

Thank you for one more awesome video! I love places like this, miss times when i was boy and visiting local arcade room. Now its closed for almost 20 years already...
Japan really does do the best vending machines. Thanks, DB, for this one.❤❤👵🏴🌹🌹🌹
Your videos make my dead cold heart feel warm and happy. Love your content
Congratulations on getting 3 million subscribers. Hope you continue to get 4 million subscribers
I miss the vending machines in Japan so so much. This was really fun to see. Too bad I didn't know it was there when I drove through Gifu!
10:31 Just in case the jet fighter doesn't ring a bell for you, that says "MiG" at the top in Russian. Interesting choice for a roulette game! Was fun watching you two go berserk on that whack-a-critter game, too!
MiG 25 cent hehe
I love how you always just go right in. You must have guts of steel
They had a Kamen Rider V3 statue, that automatically gets it points from me! Y'all were having way too much fun playing Whack-A-Mole, it looked like, too! If ever I get a chance, this is another place I'd have to add to my itinerary of places to go to in Japan.
This video was so much fun and interesting to watch. Love the food videos and it was a nice change to see something a little different. Thank you!!
Having one of those retro burgers is a life goal.
Oh man! I may not live there but seeing some of those vending machines remind me of a time when I was young and being able to get a soda pop from an old school vending machine like that with my family. It was amazing!
this might be the coolest place on the planet. it resonates with me in a way I truly cannot explain. something to do with a past life I'm sure

The places you find are fascinating, thanks for bringing us along for the experience.❤❤

I always wanted to try a cotton candy machine. Thanks for showing ❤
Don’t know why…I find it therapeutic to see you guys order food and eat.
That place looked like so much fun!!
Afterburner, and Side by Side 2, where my endless childhood thrills, SEGa, and TAITO, never stopped amazed me with their games. Anyway, no one is going to talk about the tiny Dome Zero, and the Peugeot 205 Rally car?
Haha the cotton candy was pure chaos I laughed so hard that would be me as well 😂😂
This is yalls first video that I haven't cubed with 🤣🤣🤣🤣 and I've been watching a long time so, that's still good

Beautiful views, and you just made me hungry. 😋
The machine where you hit the little creatures(wack a mole?) you had me laughing!😂That was fun!💕
I’m more fascinated that these 20-30 yr old machine still works!
What a fun video. I admire your sense of adventure and confidence. I would be too shy to make my own cotton candy or try some of the foods you eat. Miss Bacon's smile is so charming.
This is so cool and I love that they still work 🤗
That seems like my kind of museum! ❤
Looks like the perfect way to spend an afternoon.
The Japanese retro vending machines look way cooler than all the actual ones in the future now!
Great little place you found! I could see coming here just to get the packaging to bring home as souvenirs. Please visit more retro places when you find them!
The old Coke machine ❤️ I really like your Channel, you are willing to try everything, long life to your Channel!

the Old school or Vintage Style of this place just looks Amazing
This is honestly really cool!
Hey! You should for sure go to more claw machine places/arcades like you used to!! Ones with food and snacks would be even better. :)
This museum looks like my youth lol - I am Gen X where we would spend all day at the arcade

Congratulations on 3 MILLION Bro ❤🎉
the nixie tubes or VFDs in that burger machine! pure joy!
It wasn’t as clear in this video but I’ve seen others where it’s clear they’re old nixies! And yes, agree, so cool!
i remember your video from this place but without mrs. Bacon! Greetings for both of you from Poland
Plastic degrades, glass doesn't. All drinks taste better in glass.
I even saw a video where a woman put strawberries in a glass jar and some in a ziploc bag. The ones in the jar did not rot for the longest.
Congrats for 3 mil! 🥳
I just woke up and saw your notification! Excited to watch 😊 work can wait hahs

Watching him do the cotton candy make me giggle! It can be tricky to get it right!
Interesting 😮as long as the food isn’t vintage 😂🎉🎉

6:50 Number 33 Lemon Squash! My favorite drink!
it shows how behind on tech we are at contrary to japan, like legit alot of those technologies we see here....they are pretty much current tech here.

19:50 This is called DAGASHI.

Love retro things & thanks DancingBacons 🕺🥓
You're such a nice food reviewer
That Mr. Burger did not look healthy 🤣.
It looks like it has been sitting there from the 90's 😁.
