I really like these kinds of places and I'm glad you can show them! For a tourist who only has two weeks to spend, it's hard to justify spending a day this way, so I'm glad I can watch a video!
Just wanted to take a moment to say that our entire family enjoys your videos! They are one of the few things all of us...ages 3, 7, 13, 36, and 40...can all agree on watching together. Keep up the great work!
I have watched other channels presenting similar content. But a big difference. You are always so respectful of your topic. Be this from the seat to the food you eat. ❤ I really enjoy your videos. I am unable to travel anywhere at present. I feel like I am on holidays watching you 😊
I really liked this video! It was interesting to see more of rural Japan, rather than the cities. I rarely get to see the areas that are away from the usual tourist spots. It was nice to see where the average Japanese people live. Cities do offer a lot of things to do, but in the end, I feel that other than cultural influences, a city is a city no matter what country you're in. Heavy population and dense, close buildings. When you go to a rural area, it's like you can breathe again. Please show me more of the outlying areas of Japan if you can. Thank you for all your hard work. ❤
As someone who lives in rural Japan, there is so much more to see outside of the touristy spots. Local mom and pop restaurants over here where I’ve been the only foreign person to ever patron the place is pretty interesting, not to mention the severer family recipes are always delicious.
Yes yes yes... Thank you so much... I really like when you visit some random places, especially countryside. Scenery was so beautiful yet so calming. Kinda therapeutic. Again, arigatou TravelGeek ☺
Getting off at the station my first question was where are all the PEOPLE? Did I just step off into my own Twilight Zone? Seriously, I do enjoy these videos traveling to off-the-beaten tourist path. The Hell Tour was a trip, although I had a heavy heart for how the animals were being kept at the Mountain Hell park. Horrible conditions, especially the rabbits and guinea pigs. Love the dinosaur robot hotel and the little room robot-dude.❤
Awesome video. This reminds me of the day trips my friend and I made every single weekend for years before he died in 2018. We went to many small towns and learned the history of these places, then had food at small diners.
I never had any luck with the claw and prize games either. The retro games remind me of my first visits to Japan in the early-mid 1990s when work colleagues and I would seek out a ゲームセンター after a hard day's work and travel😀
It seems so simple, but the rock paper scissors at the end of your videos is actually kind of fun so I hope you keep doing it 😁 It's so cool to see interesting places like this even in the countryside, thank you for the wonderful video as always!
I like the part with Maro Bros. I remember as a kid i could beat that game in a night on the weekend, i played now in my 40's and did about as well as you did. Its amazing to me how good we were in the 80's. But now as old men with our super hi res games we are really slow.. lol thanks for the trip down memory lane! Love from Detroit Michigan USA
1:32 An hour and a half? That is pretty far off considering it only takes only 55mins from Osaka to Kyoto via train. 15:17 This takes me back to my youth playing Famicom. Fantastic journey to a really far-off destination. Everything about that place feels retro. Thanks for taking us there as well. Stay safe!
One of the attractions of Japan is it's unique vending machine culture. I'm usually shy and timid in public, but not a Hikikimori. I like how in Japan, I can buy anything from vending machines. I don't even have to go to a restaurant to get a meal. I can get beer from the machines at capsule hotel. Sapporo is great.
Hello , Greetings from Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 i ❤Japan 🇯🇵 I'm an explorer who loves to experience and capture the beauty of the Asia and europe ،I like to test food.
Another great video! 😀👍I really like your videos. I especially like the videos in which you visit interesting places which are less known than the famous touristic sites like the one in this video. Thank you for sharing this video.🙏And I am looking forward to see your new videos.
Thankfully, my dumb self realized I could control how the captions look (I genuinely didn't know), so now I can actually read them when they're in front of something white. 😂 Lovely video, as always. ☺️
Someone else covered the restaurant next door to this vending machine restaurant and apparently it’s also very delicious and filled by the owner. I want to visit and try both honestly 😂 Edit: I made a mistake, they both have vending machine noodles but I was thinking of a different place. My bad everybody 😅
Hi. I have rencently found your videos and been watching since. This video also met my expectation. Thank you so much for going all over Japan and shoot videos. It took me someitime 70' in Japan when I was a kid. 19:56 Didn't you try the ball-shaped object? They were all over in any restaurants or coffe shops in 1970's or 80's of Japan. I could not remember what it was! It was maybe something of fortunetelling. By the way, you are a udon lover. So am I!
8:10 I wonder if the person who maintains the machines at that one used tire shop makes house calls. They could probably fix the refrigerator in the Coke bottle machine. When I saw the intro, it made me think of that particular shop with the giant cache of retro vending machines. It has several of the ramen machines shown right after the Coke machine. I've seen it on several other videos, but I've never seen how the machine actually operates before. Only that they wash and reuse the bowls. BTW: Hi-C is a very common fruit drink brand in the US. They typically make drink boxes, but a couple flavors (including Orange) are available at McDonald's.
It was such a beautiful trip definitelynot a quick walk from the station though haha!! And the vending machine restaurant seems so convenient! Thank you for sharing! Paper! 😅
I thought Tokyo station was big, but Kyoto station is ridiculously huge and confusing. Took me and my cousins over 10 minutes to figure out how to get to the luggage drop off office. Nevertheless the station is beautiful, vibrant, station personnel was helpful. The city itself is amazing and has its own "feel" compare to Tokyo.
I laughed very hard when you were running for a 'short walk' 🤣. This trip is very peaceful since it's located in the countryside

I´m a vending operator in Germany, I love this kind of video , that´s a great opunity for fun in my free time .

Yes! I love seeing random out of the way places in the country, especially ones accessible without hiring a car.
I love the retro vending machines. it makes me wish I could go back in time and visit 80s Japan. Nice to see the old Nintendo and Sega arcades too.
Awesome video. This reminds me of the day trips my friend and I made every single weekend for years before he died in 2018. We went to many small towns and learned the history of these places, then had food at small diners.
Such a cute journey🤗 Just the speedy Udon and Super Mario machines themselves make the trip worthwhile!
I never had any luck with the claw and prize games either. The retro games remind me of my first visits to Japan in the early-mid 1990s when work colleagues and I would seek out a ゲームセンター after a hard day's work and travel😀

@Gilmore Boko I don't remember what I picked when I watched the video, but I certainly don't tend to win often haha
I lived in Japan for many years but still learn about so many wonderful things that I had no idea about!
I should have stayed.

Totally awesome video. You deserve first prize!! Yes, I definitely want more of these.
I love watching all your videos. You make me want to visit and travel around Japan. Thank you for showing the beauty of your country!

I love the old arcade games. I grew up playing PAC Man and Donkey Kong. So nostalgic.
Thanks for the video ❤️ I really like it🎉

What an interesting concept. Thank you for posting this video, as I had no idea that such a place existed.

Good on the owner making food fresh every morning.

There a plenty of "out of the way" places in Japan that foreigners never get to see. Excellent.
Everything is so clean, serene and beautiful!
Obrigado pelas legendas perfeitas !!!!! assim eu fui junto com você na experiencia do tour !
I would personally enjoy that "short" walk and enjoy the scenery.
You can find many findings here. Indeed.
Wow, there was a Rave Racer machine in there... what a find.
Loved the stand by me reference. Very cool. ❤
Great video! I’m really enjoying your shooting style!
Amazing video.
Greeting from the Czech republic (Europe).
After watching different utubers your cities and country sides are quite beautiful!!
I really like your videos. Keep going!
I love the Hello Kitty train. Very cute. The retro design of everything there was cool. I liked it very much. If you could do more it would be great.
Great video. And yeah great place to hangout + reminding nostalgic time.
a trip back in time! Hello from Brazil !
Fascinating visit. I think you were wise to give that burger the extra time in the microwave!
Love this place it's like finding a lie treasure, I really like your videos ,a mass fan from England 💜
Thank you for a very interesting video. I enjoy seeing the many different parts of Kyoto. Stay Safe
I thought it was advanced there but there are still retro games that are very nostalgic 😂
Thank you💫
That was quite the walk from the station to the vending machine place, even crossing the river bridge. Someone gave you good directions.
Really like all the videos you do. I especially like ones where you go. Sightseeing
03:05 it seems there is a drummer who accompanies the train with waves of positive energy to drive away evil spirits ...
Thankfully, my dumb self realized I could control how the captions look (I genuinely didn't know), so now I can actually read them when they're in front of something white. 😂 Lovely video, as always. ☺️
I love your video sir god bless you 👌🏻👌🏻💖💖💖💖👏🏻✌🏻
Strong "Non non Byori" vibes man!
6 minutes in and this is one of my favorites!
;)
I like it very much, with udon!
Yes, please make another video like this, I love your videos man
Everything from the journey there to the vending machines, the atmosphere and the food looked so good. The fact that the place was quiet was a plus.

You got a link to that video?
@@senorsombrero I was actually mistaken, sorry I thought it was the same place but it’s different! I’ll edit the comment! 😅
Beautiful day in Japan.

Very interesting. Thank you
It was a pleasant visit, with many discoveries (not findings). Also, the rock-paper-scissors game was good. ✌
very nice to see this video. I hope I can do and try many things after living in Japan. I can not wait 🎉
Cool retro gaming and vending machines...fyi, Hi-C is the furthest thing from "orange juice", orange flavored water maybe
Love the food videos best! You can buy Hi-C in the states, as a drink or a powder to mix yourself
At first, I was thinking about going to this place since I'll be in Osaka/Kyoto but yeah....that WAAYY out there for me.
Total American here but I would eat there daily, hell I could spend days there no cap.
Lovely countryside! I'm glad you enjoyed your trip- thank you for sharing! (Those claw games are terrible!)
It was such a beautiful trip definitelynot a quick walk from the station though haha!! And the vending machine restaurant seems so convenient! Thank you for sharing!
Paper! 😅

I'm not sure how tempted I'd be to have something from that soup dispensing arrangement at the beginning. It looks a little, um, a little battered. 🤔
Running was the best Part in this video 😂
