This was a wonderful change from the usual videos - I very much enjoyed the “travel experience.” 😊I also appreciate the effort it took for you to travel on multiple trains, then walk to the destination - thank you!
@@experience_japan 15:37 No, we do not like that sound here in the USA. It’s gross sounding and considered very rude/disrespectful/inconsiderate to do around others. It’s like a pig eating.
@@experience_japan 19:23 Shocking that you’ve never heard of a jukebox before!! Wow! 😳 They’ve been everywhere in the USA for MANY decades - since at least the 1950s, probably even the 1940s. They play music of your choice in diners//billiards halls/arcades etc, and everyone in the place enjoys the tunes with you. It’s hard to believe that Japan wouldn’t have had them too! I’m seriously shocked.
I love the dedication of travelling to check out a vendo machine place. Train ride plus a nice (long?) walk. Love your videos. I hope you get to upload more soon. Best of luck to your vendo hunting adventures!
Hi, I just wanted to say thank you for every video that you make. You make me smile every time I see a notification for a new video. My dream is to visit Japan one day. Please keep creating these high-quality videos. Greetings from Germany
Living in a small Canadian province with only one national train I am very envious of Japan and their amazing trains. The scenery on this ride was also amazing to watch!
I really loved the trains, especially when they got smaller and further away from the city. Very charming and clean. I can see why people there would be proud of them!
This is very nice.. Thank you very much for sharing your experience! :^) @04:20, .. this is unbelievable.. @11:59, Space Invaders?! 🕹👍 @13:58, Japan is wonderful..
20:52 "Nintendo, the creator of Mario, is headquartered here in Kyoto." Yep, indeed they are. In one of Kyoto's downtown cores; Hokotatecho Kamitoba, to be precise.
I enjoyed the ride thru the countryside of Japan and the vending machines! Looks like you bought up most of the machines we once had in the USA. Hard to find here anymore!
You should get one of the folding bicycles that fold up to fit in a small backpack. Granted the wheels are small, but it has to be a little more convenient than walking, plus you get some better cardio workout.
17:54 Oh nah, we've got, like, the same body type!! That's crazy, no wonder you're able to try so many foods in your videos! 😁It feels like lean folks are always the ones eating more than they look like they can (and I'm no exception 😅) I absolutely adore your videos, thank you so much for sharing the culture and food of Japan with all of us overseas! I hope that I'm able to visit Japan one day and maybe even learn the language, living there for a year even seems like it'd be a really cool experience 😊 (Fingers crossed I'm successful enough later in life that I'm able to just- spend a year in another country 0,o) Love from Minnesota! Looking forward to another video from you already :>
This video brought me back. I used to play Super Mario Brothers a lot, as well as some of the other games. I used to go to a few different restaurants that had juke boxes, including an old '50s style diner where people could even dance if they wanted. Coke is also my favourite drink, but it does horrible things to me now; so I no longer have it. I'll have Coke flavoured candy and the like if I can find it. This kind of place is really cool. I wish we had them here in Canada. The train ride itself made the whole thing worth it, I think. It's beautiful.
I loved this video. Japan is always so clean and well maintained. I visited Japan as a kid and truly miss it. I would love to come back and visit to ride the trains and experience all the different vending machines. Thank you again from Pennsylvania, USA!
The ice cold glass bottle of Coke from the vending machine! The very best tasting Coke! And the ramen, in particular, really looked delicious. Thank you for the experience!
You know when I saw you get the ham burger, I thought maybe it was some sort of translation error. But then you got the sandwich and that's exactly what it is, a ham burger.
It's cool to see how massive Japan's railfan community is - it's on the same scale as ours in the UK, if not even larger. I know that I'll definitely be spending more than a few hours capturing the action myself when I manage to make the trip across the continent :)
That's awesome to hear! The railfan community is indeed vibrant in both countries. Can't wait to see what you capture when you make the trip. Thanks for watching! 🚄
Omg my friend i have to travel here its amazing all the food you want is a dream come true for me im a BBW i love to eat sensational job my friend be safe much love from USA
Wow so beautiful views and what a beautiful coca-cola station my dream is to someday go visit Tokyo Japan 💖 Japan is very beautiful I also would love to visit this vending machine please 💖
Cooperative and civilized customers keep the business going. This is the best thing about Japanese people, the government had done well to educate its citizens to love their own country clean and tidy.
I really wanted to see inside the noodle vending machines. If I understand correctly the bowls have the cooked noodles and toppings put in them and loaded into the machine, then when someone puts money in, the machine pours water and broth concentrate on the noodles and heats them up. I suppose the machine is doing that tilting of the bowl to gently mix everything? They must need a lot of maintenance and human intervention to ensure the food is fresh.
Was not planning on watching this because there are several videos of going to the retro vending machines......this one was at a different place. Enjoyed the adventure!
Well that was a pleasant day trip, and not very expensive. Good thing the weather was nice for that long walk. DigDug never impressed me that much. Its actually hard to play, so the games end quickly unless you are really good at it.
I'm so glad to hear that my channel could spark your interest in Japan! Thank you for your kind words, and I hope to continue bringing enjoyable content your way. 🙏
Neat this train and the sunrise express look almost exactly like the dutch koploper train models, the one here on the video that splits up actually also works the same where you can walk under the train cockpits to go from car to car...
dude those vending machine foods are cheap and insanely cool. and filled with cool tech built in it and you can never get stuff like this in the us or canada
My local store sells plastic bottles of Coke for $2.44, which is 351 Yen. And that's not even with real sugar, it's the corn syrup stuff. Or you can buy two for $4.08 with a membership card. What a rip off! Coke isn't good for you anyways.
A jukebox is something you would normally find at diners and bars (A place to get adult drink). You insert your money and then chose the song you want to play and it plays loudly for everyone to hear and enjoy. =) Its rare to see them even in America these days. I remember there were still alot of them even in the 90s.
I lived in the countryside of Fukui and Ishikawa for four years, before moving to Tokyo. I miss it, thinking of heading back there, if I can find a nice paying job out there. It was so peaceful at night though the bugs were..scary >s
Watching this from the Inland Empire region in Southern California and loving the scenery. I respect the Japanese people so much because they take great pride in their homeland. it's so lovely. The Vending Machine Restaurant.. this is what "The Jetson's" showed us in 1963, Push a button and a fantastic bowl of ramen comes out. I love it.
Have you ever played the Dig-Dug?
I loved playing Digger as kid, dunno which is the original.
I have a cartridge for my Nintendo64 that has Dig-Dug on it as a part of a Namco collection! It was my favorite to play.
only a dig dug inspired minigame that instead of defeating enemies, you had to grab all the gems underground.
Of course, and Mario too. I had the original NES back in the 90's
Yes, i had it a long time ago when i hade my commodore 64. Good times... 😁

You should! In Japan, there are many cities with rich nature that are really worth visiting, not just Tokyo, Osaka, and other urban areas.

Beautiful train and countryside. I have a bunch of respect for Japanese culture and hope they hold on to it.

Small question: does anyone know where the Super Sentai Franchise is filmed?
They're filmed in various locations in Japan. For example, Sumida River Terrace and Gunma Observatory.
The ice cold glass bottle of Coke from the vending machine! The very best tasting Coke! And the ramen, in particular, really looked delicious. Thank you for the experience!

yes
