- I went to a used tire market in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture. There are about 100 retro vending machines lined up here. This is the only place in Japan where there are so many retro vending machines. You can enjoy a lot of vending machine food. It's a cheap and fun spot. Enjoy the video!!
Actually, this is my second visit. The reason being that there were too many vending machines and I couldn't be satisfied with just one visit.

Keeping so many running and operational is intriguing enough, stocking up all of them is another feat . The one you left the empty coke bottle sells dry batteries. Amazing !
It's indeed a fascinating process to keep so many machines running smoothly and stocked. The variety, like the one selling dry batteries, is truly amazing!
I can really appreciate this aspect of Japanese culture! Vending machines and Pod hotels are very appealing to me!
It isn't an "Experience Japan" video without a Coke
My man is right! Nothing can beat the great taste of coke no madder where you are in the world a nice ice cold coke 😋
Haha, true! Can't miss out on a classic Coke in Japan!
Or a Red Bull
@@shannongoodall7218real😊
That's their favorite drink if I recall.
The Japanese Nissin Cup Noodles are far superior quality. That's why we always try to bring some home when we do visit Japan. Experience Japan - I visited Kamakura and Enoshima because of your video and we truly enjoyed it. Thank you for introducing those places to us!
I'm thrilled to hear that you appreciate the quality of Japanese Nissin Cup Noodles and that my video inspired your visit to Kamakura and Enoshima. Thank you for sharing your experience!
@@experience_japan We're planning an Enoshima day trip because of your videos! Keep spreading the good word! By the way, from a traveller's perspective, it would be great to have a link to a map, or a map on screen sometimes. Just a thought! Thank you, EJ!!
I just finished work in Canada and now I'm Japan..
Wow, that's quite a journey! Hope you're enjoying your time in Japan!
This is so crazy to me because how would you even find suppliers for some of these items that have to be 20+ years old at this point? Being able to see a photo of a dish taken in the 70s and get the exact thing you ordered in the 2020s is fascinating!
Like seriously, who is stocking that hot chicken sandwich machine? And putting fresh pork in that one ramen machine? I'm surprised they don't have people stocking at least one of them at all times
Because Japanese people are in a league of their own and us Americans absolutely ain’t shit
@@skeetsmcgrew3282 these dishes
The person who restocks the vending machine is the owner of a used tire shop. Ramen, udon and soba dishes are handmade by him.
I would guess he found the main supplier of the machine. Not super sure how it is in Japan, but most hot serve vending machines around me are just industrial microwaving frozen foods from small distributors, the same distributors that convenience stores also buy from (change packaging, or ingredients, but buy in bulk and you can get anything you want). I suspect the packaging is custom bulk orders too, and the owner is removing the plastic covers of the meals and putting them in the ordered boxes. A bit of a pain but nothing too crazy
The most of your retro machines are futuristic stuff here in Germany. With every video of your channel my wish is growing to visit Japan. I love your content, thank you for sharing it.
I love your vending machine tours, thank you! I used to get those glass bottle Cokes out of the machines when I was a kid!
Thanks for your comment! It's great to hear that my videos bring back such fond memories. Stay tuned for more!
@@experience_japan Definitely will!
They had the 0.5l glass bottles where I live, screwtop though.
I'm glad these bottles made a comeback a few years ago, even though a 0.5l glass bottle Coke costs almost as much as a 1l plastic bottle.
And they even make 1l glass bottles now. They're massive!
@@samteks125 the Coke in the old glass bottles was so cold, and tasted so good!
I don’t know why but this video gives me the old times vibes when I used to follow my brother in his junior baseball training places where they had older arcade games with old vending machines. Nostalgic. Bring my childhood back watching this. Thank you.
I’ve been anticipating and waiting for a new video!! I want to spend a day in Japan trying out all the vending machines. The little kid in me is coming out. 😂 👍🏼
So happy to hear that! Exploring vending machines in Japan would be a fun adventure! 😄👍
I'm jealous ❤. I'd go nuts with all the cool vending machines 😊. That's incredible.
If you open the burger box completely it becomes a makeshift plate, try it next time!
At first the Cup Noodles here were the same than those in Japan, but now the contents are different, cultural thing.
Those Coca Cola machines can still be found on some places here too, that's the real way to drink Coca Cola!
Saludos desde Mexico!
Great and interesting content. I enjoyed watching it and loved it
Thanks. 👍👍👍😍😍😍
Thanks so much! I'm thrilled you enjoyed it!
I came across your videos a few days ago and they are already my favorite! Thank you for making such great videos. I'm looking forward to more. 😊
My dad owned a furniture store when I was a kid. His catchphrase was "New, used, and unusual." For a long time, he had one of those retro Coke machines. 25 cents for a bottle. I was so upset when he sold it.
I feel like you've been to this place before, but with so many machines and so many choices, you could go many times and never repeat! Except for the ice cold glass bottle of Coke, of course. That is a necessity. I do remember those. Still the best...
Thank you for the video and interesting place!
Yes! Found it! This is what happens when people watch every single video as soon as they see a new one. The price of success! ❤
Hehe, I think this is the third time he's been here, and still so many machines to explore! 😂
I get so excited when a new film is uploaded.
Thank you for another wonderful film.
I'm so glad to hear that you get excited about the new uploads! Thank you for your support!
Thank you for the video, it is great in filming and editing 🤍
Thanks for the compliment! I put a lot of effort into filming and editing. 🤍

This is just so calming and enjoyable. Thank you
Greetings from Texas!!! Me and my friends love the channel. When we see a new video, we all get a cold Coca Cola to drink while watching!!!
During the summer here in Texas, people sell shaved ice (we call them snow cones) literally everywhere. It’s a fun and sweet way to beat the heat.
Thank you for showing us parts of Japan we would never have seen before!!!
I'm sure that snow cones are very popular in the Texas heat. 😁
It’s the “working museum”, not only everything on display is preserved in nice shape, they still work and can be interacted just like they are used to be.
Amazing line of vending machines! A museum you can use and taste, so great. Thanks for your videos!
I think I watched this video already sometime in April. But I could be wrong.
Thankyou for taking us again on a wonderful adventure loved it i would eat it too respect from Australia
Thank you for joining the adventure and for your kind words! Much respect back to you from Japan!
Please make a bicycle tour video in Japan's charming and green nature 🙏🏻I am looking for such a clip and I feel that your style of photography will be a legendary clip 🌹❤️
Thank you for the suggestion! A bicycle tour video in Japan's nature sounds like a great idea. I'll definitely consider it! 🌹❤️
@@experience_japan thank you I'm really excited 😍🙏🏻🌹
What an adventure. I lived in Okinawa for a year back in 92
First time I ever had cold coffee from a vending machine.
I truly miss the culture. ❤️
I love your videos dude, great job. subscribed and liked.👍
This place is quite simply a living, working museum of Japans vending machine industry, and also its innovation over the decades.
This owner.
He is a special man, and deserves a lot of praise from the Japanese people for such a wonderful place and achievement! 👌👏
Edit: Also, totally agreed. There really is nothing like drinking coke from an ice-cold glass bottle. The retro machine was awesome btw...
Hello from California nice to see a new vending machine video from Japan 💙🗾 I love Japan my dream is to someday visit Japan
Hello from Japan! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I hope your dream of visiting Japan comes true soon! 💙🗾
Amazing vending machines.
I already had a few reasons to want to visit Japan someday, but I never thought seeing the place vending machines go when they die was going to be one of them.
Great videos! Keep it up
Thanks a lot! I'll keep doing my best!
Great video, again another classic vending machine visit in same place.
Just Subscribed ✅ So much respect for the splendor of Japan 🇯🇵👍
Interesting to see the different types of vending machines in Japan, cool video😎
Thanks! 😃
i was about to eat and i see this.. this is perfect 😆
That's a great nostalgic trip!.
The coke bottles are much common here still in India....😁
That was a very retro Coke machine. I used to get bottles of soda from those when I was a kid. My Dad was always nice enough to give me a quarter for a soda.
That’s a sweet memory! Those old machines have such charm. Thanks for sharing that nostalgic moment with us!
I love video like this. It teaches you how to use Vending Machine in Japan. As i'm from Malaysia, i wouldn't know theres a chopstick when you want to eat Noodles. 👍🥰❤️
These retro machines bring back GREAT memories of my childhood in 🇺🇸 thank you Dancing Bacon, I absolutely love your videos 🙏🏻✝️❤️🇺🇸
Your experience is so positive , i've seen foreigners dislike vending burgers , pizzas etc.
Missing u r train journey
Thanks for the video) It is very interesting to observe such Vending Machine ) Greetings from Russia♥
Thank you! I'm glad you found it interesting! Warm greetings from Japan! ♥
Every visit you make to this vending machine wonderland, I always think imagine if the tourists found this place it would be full of people all the time aside from the locals haha., you could run tours to there haha. The ramen & hamburger looked delicious. I like you try different food each time you go.
loved this :)
You didn't spill the popcorn this time, dexterity +100! 😂🎉
ラーメン美味しそう。いただきま~す。Itadaki-mouse🐀
I wish to experience this at least once, Japan is so fascinating
That museum like selection of vending machines is amazing - reminds me of the people that are preserving old arcade games in giant rrooms for prosperity, which is awesome. You mentioned the owner of the tyre shop is responsible for maintaiining the vending machines - does that mean they have to refill each one themselves?! Great video...plllllllease take me next time 😁
dancing bacons went here too; i like both your channels a lot !!!! ❤
That was fun! Can't wait to go there
I like your show, thank you.
Wow I wish we had those here in America. THE cup of noodles here in the west has peas and corn in them, but not good to eat. The ramen yes . I didn't want you to leave , I'm greedy wanted to see more. You didn't get a toy this time , last time you got a vending machine toy. I was truly amazed that the food was really good and hot. The rice dish look to be stew beef with potatoes and carrots. I enjoy the video , learning so much from them about Japan, Thank so much❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love how they are decding which ramen they want to squeesz
Fun fact about the popcorn vending machine: if I remember correctly, there is a literal Microwave inside it, the popcorn enters the microwave, it cooks it and the whole thing tilts down a bit to drop the bag of popcorn. I seen it in a video while they were doing maintenance with that vending machine
That’s incredibly cool! Thanks for sharing this interesting tidbit. Always fascinating to learn how things work behind the scenes.
I had plenty of sodas out of retro vending machines. When I was a child it was .25 cents American for a bottle, They were always so nice and cold.
That’s cool
Thanks!
@@experience_japan you’re welcome
The shop owner is a national treasure.
18:38 one of the best things i've ever seen come out of a vending machine, that's insane to see.
Passando pra desejar a vcs muito sucesso e dizer que adoro o conteúdo de vcs um grande abraço 🤗 Direto aqui do Brasil 😊

I thought I had a deja-vu at first. Nissin noodles are in stock in Norway and I love them! Nissin Soba Sukiyaki
That rice with curry looks so freaking good.
Top would be a VR experience in your channel. Your videos are lovely and enjoyable. But with VR, probably we would be much more in the experience. 😊
Great Video! Really found the different vending machine to be amazing and interesting. Especially the 🍛, ramen, and ice 🧊 shaving 😋ones. Really like your 📹. 😊❤ Your country Japan is pretty amazing as well. Can speak your language just a tiny bit.😅😅😊❤
I have the cup of noodles on a chilly afternoon. They are pretty good!!!

I love the Coca cola vending machine, they are very rare, I haven't really seen them before, I'm from Romania, and I'm a lover of vending machines. ❤🎉
Love from India ♥️

Hey I saw that in this video you used your smartphone for filming. How did you manage to shoot the scenes where you have both hands free? Do you use a chest support for your phone?
Thank you so much for this video, I love vending machines!
9:31 The output chute was cleaned the last time the machine was built - yummy ...
24:01 In Germany the Contents are the same, yes, but however, not all varieties are available here.

Out off all questions I have my main one is: "how much can this guy eat?"
I wish they have shaved ice machine in US
That would be amazing, wouldn't it? Shaved ice vending machines are such a cool idea!
No matter how many times I watch the first video of when you visited here, and now this one, I still am AMAZED on how YUMMY everything looks and can not believe it came out of a vending machine! I can not wait to try it all for myself! Thank you for another wonderful and chill video! Stay safe and wonderful in your travels!
Amazing
Thank you! Glad you think so!
My favorite is curry flavor cup noodles with a cup of coke! 😋
Japan moment is so cute
You seem to have a lot of appetite!
Coke in a glass bottle is best! 👍
Absolutely! There's something special about Coke in a glass bottle. 👍
Fantastyczne miejsce! Tanio i monetami można płacić!😊
so cool
I'm in Tokyo, Shinjuku, right now. Since I arrived on Monday, I have yet to see any ramen vending machine, bummer. But I did see one fresh orange juice vending machine in Korean town(?) and is not as big as the one in your video.
Cup noodles are the same no matter where you go and no matter where you go, they're just as amazing.
I've always been curious, but year were some of these machines first introduced? Does Mr Burger have any sort of date listed anywhere on his machine that would tell us?
16:08 in the 80s when I was a child here in the uk we had sweet ‘cigarettes’ some were white and some chocolate. Crazily some came with individual wrappers printed to make the sticks look like real cigarettes! Seems absolutely crazy now that something was sold to encourage children to smoke
I want to visit Japan just for the vending machines
Love your vending machine videos, especially the old machines with cheaper prices, that's my budget. I've watched all of them so i decided to visit your channel and sadly saw most videos about expensive and luxury things to do which MOST visitors could not afford to do. How about making videos on free and low cost restaurants and attractions for ppl on a budget. Otherwise I have no reason to watch the rest of your videos.
How do you know for sure if the food has not been sitting there for awhile and fresh, and does someone clean the bowls and the machines?
Good question! The machines are regularly checked and restocked for freshness, and they are cleaned frequently for hygiene.
I came for the wheels, and stayed for the noodles.
This is what I'm talking about. Vending machines im in Heaven my friend I heard Japan has a vending machine for people who need a date all you do is go up to in the live person is in there is that ture if so im so taking a trip to Japan ❤😂 much love to you my friend
Haha, that's an interesting rumor! While Japan has many unique vending machines, I haven't seen one like that yet. Hope you enjoy your trip! ❤😂
@experience_japan lol, thanks, my friend. I really enjoyed your video
Let's hope the food inside doesn't have a retro expiry date too 😂😂
got to the part where you tried the cup noodle vending machine! I've had both japanese cup noodle and american cup noodle, but i can say by far that the japanese one is superior. the eggs, green onion and "mystery meat" (lol) aren't present in the american version; there's only carrot, pea and corn along with... some kind of seasoning? I think it's dried leek, not green onion. however both are very enjoyable in their own ways, though i prefer japanese cup noodle, especially the seafood one. now i'm craving those delicious sweet eggs and bits of crab and octopus...
I've had imported Japanese versions and yes, they are MUCH better than ours. The "mystery meat" is usually beef, which the American does tend to have, but they are extremely small 'bits', I guess? There's also another brand that happens to be sold here in my local grocery store (It's a Kroger based store,) And it has bits of sea urchin in it! I love that so much, it's sooooo, so good!
@@BeckyNosferatu OH i HAVE to try that ramen you mentioned, sea urchin ramen sounds so delicious!! i don't live near a Kroger based store though, i'll have to try and get it mailed or imported lol
I'm glad you enjoyed the cup noodle vending machine experience! It's interesting to hear your comparison between the Japanese and American versions. Those sweet eggs and seafood flavors are indeed hard to resist!
@@BeckyNosferatuIs Albertsons Kroger? Surely they’ve got to have one here in SoCal
That Orange Juice machine is somewhat new to the place, right? I haven't seen it in other videos about the place.
Yes, you're right! The orange juice machine is a recent addition. Glad you noticed!
It looks to me like the cup noodles in Japan are better in every way - more noodles, AND more and better toppings as well...
Yes we have cup noodle in Canada in my guess probably relatively the same kinds and contents
Thanks for sharing! It's interesting to see how cup noodles vary (or don't) around the world. Have you found any unique flavors in Canada?
@@experience_japan I couldn’t accurately answer that because I haven’t ate cup noodle in a long time but if I’m not mistaken there is a unique shrimp flavour here in canada 🇨🇦…
Nissin are sold here in UK. The contents are different because of UK food laws etc. it’s very strict here. I think NONGSHIM shin Cup noodle are the most popular here. The recipe is the exact same as it is in South Korea. My personal favourite but I do enjoy the Char Su nissin cup noodle 😊
Damn the UK doesn’t get to experience anything yummy like here in thr US
cool
About the Japanese Cup Noodles, it's definitely not the same here in Brazil. We have fewer content other than the noodle itself, Japanese version looks a lot more richer in comparison...
