What is a nostalgic candy you ate as a child in your country?
You are not, and I am not American, I can't stand that "candy" word. Its Lollies.
Pixy Stix and Fun Dip were my favorites as a child. 😊
Treets, peanuts coated in milk chocolate.
Chic O Sticks!!
@@kardainzr161 It is sweets. Lollies are sweets on a stick 🍭
"Apparently, all of the machines are old and break down often."
they're just like me fr fr
Terrible jokes aside, this museum is wonderful. Thank you for sharing.
Why am I getting emotional at this 😭 this is so neat and I love that it’s maintained so well. Made me nostalgic for a time and place I’ve never been
Did you ever play the vintage game "Bomb the Harbor," where you are a kamikaze and your task is to fly your plane into an american ship at pearl harbor? The fist stage was dropping bombs on the americans and as the game progressed and your plane was hit, the goal was to sacrifice by flying into a ship or a group of american sailors. That game was a favorite for a long time.📡🛩🦖
Seeing those arcade machines makes me feel nostalgic 😊. In my country they used to be common in public places like in social clubs, restaurants and hotel games rooms. I remember going as a kid to a social club's games room with my cousin just to play Metal Slug or King of Fighters. Back then in the 90s SNK and Capcom were dominant in the arcade business . Unfortunately by the late 2000s these arcade machines started to fade away.
That sounds like a great childhood memory! Arcades have a special place in gaming history.
i want to visit Japan one day to see all the quirky sites and things only Japan has to offer. The cleanliness of the towns and cities are very impressive. its amazing whats accomplished when everyone works toward a common goal.
You know Japan is summarized perfectly in an RTAA as Japan is a whole country of people that not only give one f**k, But they give multiple f**ks every day!
I was a child in the 70s and 80s and love seeing nostalgia from Japan! すごいい!
I'm Canadian and born in the late 60's, never travelled outside of Canada, but even I've used that Coke machine in my lifetime...
That "ite" throughout some part of the video is a win 🤣
couldn't stop laughing hearing it in the background
Sounds like ‘eject’ in English, like we did with old VHS video tapes. Rewind and eject! 😂
I'm a sucker for vending machines worldwide. Can't pass one without trying😂
I could have happily stayed all day in here, eating myself silly and playing games! Absolute perfect video! ❤
I really like this channel, I love how you shake your hand when you’re pleasantly surprised by something ahaha. I’m glad you have my same enthusiasm for Uncle Whitebeard and his work! Thank you for the video!
Great video as always! Also, yes! you found Doraemon in one of the other vending machine places you showed us, If I remember correctly! And in the retro game consoles, I saw the original Famicom! And I played a LOT of Street Fighter 2 in the arcades myself! Thank you for showing us all these amazing places! Proves even smaller areas have fun places to see and visit!
I think I remember seeing you get your Doraemon character from a machine but I can't remember where..🤭 But you were very happy to meet your new travel friend.
The tvs and boom boxes and old games are so nostalgic as I was born 1980 🥰
This was a really fun video! Arigato gozaimasu 🤘💜🇦🇺🦘
Wow, very good video, I really like this food and this museum is very good
I love the vintage graphic design, from the candy to the burger packaging, from the ads to the machines ✨
I totally agree!
Please more videos like this 🙏❤️🇯🇵 thanks from Italy and from a Japan's lover 🙌🏻🇮🇹
Finally !! Another awesome vlog visiting Japan. Thank You.
More to come!
My friend amazing Absolutely amazing have fun fot me omg i wish usa had amazing things like this japan here i come be safe much love
The color of that Toyota Aqua is what we Americans would call "comet gray". It's what we kind of imagine asteroids and comets to be colored like, but it's just gray with a dash of teal in it.
Thanks!
Oh man, those paper airplanes, bring me back to my childhood here in Canada. Although they were a little cheap Styrofoam ones, and they would break within 10 minutes of building them after gliding it into a wall lol.😂
Another great video and showing us the Gifu Retro Museum, This guy should do tour's for tourist he always goes to interesting places, and there would be many
tourists esp foreigners who would enjoy some of these experiences.
I'd book a tour in a heartbeat ❤😂
@@amyforsyth1502 Same he goes to so many interesting places
That would be cool!
That rain game is awesome. Love the setup and controls. Great video as always!!
Love your videos! Keep them up! Also you got that little dude when you did the largest vending machine place in another video!
Thanks! Will do!
I love the video, it really looks like a great place to explore and become a compulsive gambler, hope that you can still making more videos ❤❤
That was so interesting! I'm English but I recognise some of those toys and movie posters. Thanks for showing us it all :)
Great video and great experience. Definitely for retro lovers, this is heaven.
This time, the video is more than wonderful rather a masterpiece because it takes us on a nostalgic tour of the past Thank you very much for this wonderful participation Your videos are always beautiful and interesting. Greetings to you from Algeria ❤
For Doraemon it was in a video " The Ultimate Vending Machine Haven "
Great and interesting content. I enjoyed watching it and loved it as always. Thanks for sharing it. 👍👍👍😍😍😍
Thanks for the comment!
Small, niche museums like these remind me a lot of similar museums we have here in the UK, which can get very specialised in the collections they hold! Looks like this is another place I'll be adding to the list of places I'd like to see when I visit Japan :)
I used to have one of those Mr. Nello tv's way back in the day. Miss it. Can't even being to remember when the last time I saw it was.. must have been well over 30 years ago.
I liked the box that looked like the vending machine. What a fun place to visit!
Cool
please post more vending machine videos
love these classic vending machines.
I watched this on my tv & enjoyed it so much I had to get on my iPad & comment! Enjoy seeing your videos of your country! Love from coastal Maine USA ❤️🥰
Awesome! Thank you!
I still own the Astro Wars game. I play it every once in a while. Still as good as it was when I got it for Christmas many years ago.
Nostalgic and fun to watch 😄 Thank you for sharing your visit to this place 🙏
That was fun! Since I've only seen you walk, bike and take trains and buses, I thought maybe you couldn't drive. I feel old because most of that stuff in the retro museum was from when I was a kid and teenager. Thanks for sharing your day w/ us.
I’m glad you enjoyed the video! I do drive, but there’s something special about using different modes of transport, isn’t there? It’s like time traveling at that retro museum, bringing back all those memories. Thanks for coming along on the journey!
You always have such great videos!! So many places to see for an upcoming trip... thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
I learn so much from your videos! Thank you for sharing your experiences! Arigatō!
Glad I could help!!
Japanese electronics the best in the world if you ask me, love these old vending machines they are so cool you have to find more places we love em.
Fan from Hawaii here! Please continue making content! I work an office job all day and watching your videos after work is very relaxing. Thank you for making videos! Mahalo nui loa! 🌺
Wow, thanks from Hawaii! I'm a fan of Hawaii too
隅から隅まで、最高の観光大使ですね😄💕
I love to watch your videos, they are so calming and I love seeing where you go Japan is beautiful.
Thank you very much for sharing.
@19:50, Those planes I remeber I was so crazy about them in my childhood, but I think the ones we had were not genuine Japanese, but cheap immitations. But they did fly. I remember the war jet ones, the classic aeroplane ones, (which some had 4 wings, like the Red Baron), and the birds.
My God the toy section is like a mini kids toy heaven! The whole place is breath taking..
@20:50, we had the Scramble one! I remember! The exact one!!
@21:08, the elephant crane game has a VERY nostalgic vibe!!!!!
@25:50, looks delicious... 🍔
@27:30, Dude!!! Seriously?!?!! THATS a very COOL TOY!!!!!!
Thank you for filming it all! 👏
Wonderful watch! 🍿
The tyre place with all the old vending machines is free to enter 😑and the machines are properly maintained. At least you got your Coke. I think the massage chair was use to execute prisoners. 20:40 Techmoan repaired one of those cassette players on his channel.
This is a perfect setting for a Studio Ghibli film
You got the Doraemon toy from a gachapon machine by that tyre shop in Tokyo which has over a hundred retro vending machines. And that was your second time visiting that place. Seeing that you brought him along on a journey always makes me smile.
This was perfect! Thank you so much for sharing!
First time seeing a hamburger come from a vending machine.😀
Pachinko looks like a curious game.
Always love your vlog, say hello from Indonesia🇮🇩
woah, this is so cool. thank you for sharing!
Cool. We had one of those Ranger 505 portable TVs back in the 70's. (It is next to the boombox on top of the Coke machine.)
to operate the cotton candy machine your self must be the coolest experiance in a place like that, you typicaly would never see that kind of machine in the west. awesome.
very intressting video.
Snacks from different times 🥰 love it!
懐かしすぎる昭和の自販機たち。学生時代、コンビニエンスストアがない地域に住んでいたのでお世話になりました。
Fun and amazing! Thank you for sharing. Love from Connecticut❤
the people in the background constantly playing whack a mole I'm dead 🤣
We used to have a pachinko machine when I was younger. Oh the memories!
Beautiful place and delicious meals to try. I hope to visit Japan someday ❤
I hope so too!
Happen to own a couple pachinko machines like they have in this museum. Restored them and love to play them!
Thank you for showing the arcade side of this place! Every other channel I’ve seen just focuses on the food; I didn’t realize it had other retro attractions.
Glad you enjoyed!
@@experience_japan
20:05 There’s a very popular video game called “Binding of Isaac” that has characters shaped like poop, just like that! For example, look up one of the bosses, named “Dingle.”
@@experience_japan
27:52 I saw someone else get this same exact toy out of a vending machine in Japan in a video. You’re supposed to throw it against the wall, and it will slowly “climb” down.
very cool coverage of vintage social entertainment museum. very good man.
Even superheroes are asking for money. 🤣
Very cool place. I love watching your vending machines videos
Ah, the ice cold coke in the glass bottle! Yes, it pairs well with almost everything. Don't tell Pepsi there is Coke in their machine, they will send the Pepsi Generation to rip it out! Hahaha! Thank you for another calming and interesting video!
Cool video and the '1970 feel' was great, brings up memories! Cool channel and camera work, thank you. Funny thing I had exact same big spider when I was a kid :)
I love Showa period ! Very cool machines !
Awesome I seen an Ultraman mask I used to watch him when I was a kid
We need a skilled repairman lmao 😂🎉❤
My goodness, I recognised an electronic game I had over 40yrs ago here in UK. It was called Astro Wars. I was 10 !! Great video thankyou.
We had Astro Wars in New Zealand too ! 😊
Very Awesome 👍🔥🔥🔥
that was cool love the location contry,, love the coke machine I had use one, great looking car,
me too!
One of the coolest countries in the world Japan is my favorite of all time
I remember those sticky men. You put them on the wall, and they flip flop down the wall. That’s why they don’t stick well.
Amazing content as always 🥰☺️🥰🥰
🙌
Muita tecnologia aí , eu tenho 54 anos acho que nunca verei meu país neste nível de tecnologia e educação, até as coisas antigas de vocês pra gente é novidade
Wow your country so modern At old era ...That why japan become No 1 in world about Technology..
I want a udon and Burger vending machine near me, great video made me hungry as well.
I can very very vaguely remember pre-plastic soda bottles, when if you got soda (technically “pop”, I’m from Chicago US) from the grocery it was either tabbed aluminum cans or 6 packs of glass bottles. Couldn’t have been later than the mid 80s.
Thanks for sharing that bit of history! It’s fascinating to look back at how things were. Appreciate your comment!
Oh man- I recall seeing the video where you obtained the little Doraemon from a capsule vending machine - I believe 😅
You really made me want to taste a JPN coke. The Mexico cokes here in USA are for sure a different recipe. They are real sugar and taste way more fresh.
I'm glad to hear that! The regional variations in Coke recipes are quite fascinating. If you get the chance to try a Japanese Coke, I hope you enjoy the difference! 🥤
@@experience_japan I remember as child back in the 90’s Disney World in Epcot has a little shop with around the World coke dispenser with several types straight on tap. Such a cool experience.
I remember when you got Doraemon. It wasn't the one you were looking for, but he's been a good travel companion for you, I hope. Wish I had one of those burger vending machines near my house, they look much better than the convenience store burgers here.
Thank you, my big fan 😆
My husband and I are very old, ha ha. We have Street Fighter from way back when.
This place reminds me of my childhood, the noodles look great and that coke 🎉😍😍
I'm jealous. The Aqua was sold as the Prius C in the USA but we never got the updated model. They're excellent cars.
Oh man they have a Fever Powerful III as well! That's one of the pachinko games I have here at home!
Looked fun!
The 50 Shades of E-DEK! 😂
mole smasher is welcome game and everyone must stop and play!
That other place you went to with all the vending machines was much better imho
This is so cool!!!
The Sticky Man toy is probably a wall walker. You throw it up against the wall and it falls down inch by inch, on the hands and feet. When I was a kid it was an octupus. LOL. Wash it with soap and water to make it sticky again.
As a child of the 70's, yes that scene is very familiar.
So glad it brought back memories!
Love your videos!! Keep up the good work 🫶
Thank you so much!!
こういう所で飲食するファーストフードと瓶のコーラってすごく美味しいよね
Fun place to go on a date.
I think I have that album I see at 19:22. Mako Ishino. Awesome video!
at 6:27 made me remember my old friends' company
he often sold 'more expensive helpdesk service' with '24hr service' because nobody ever read the full text which said '24hr service per week' :D
(the cheaper option was 20hrs per week)
I like the little history lesson
Okey
Super fun!
It was!
Astro Wars! I had that game when I was a kid. ;).
The Toyota Aqua is a great car. Same drive train and similar dimensions as a Yaris, but a lot more space for passangers and luggage. I wish they sold it here.
Ohhh I’m waiting ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ ❤❤❤❤❤
19:03 - 20:10 poor mole crying from the background XD!
