- I recently visited Round 1, an amusement arcade facility with a large number of claw machines. There are over 300 claw machines. There were also many food-themed claw machines, and this time I tried my hand at several of those machines. However, it can get quite expensive.

Japanese snacks are much cheaper to buy at a convenience store than to get at a claw machine.

I'm utterly fascinated with all the claw and vending machines in Japan. That said, hope you have really good recycling programs because the amount of packaging is crazy.

From what little I know, Japan seems to be very strict about recycling and yes, does indeed have a good recycling program. However, this is based on limited knowledge so I could be wrong.
That package inside a package inside a box was intense. I thought he just won a decent prize and it ends up being 15 small cookies. Yeesh.

I noticed something involving the rotating table at at around 12:09 during the demo it rotated nice and slow but during gameplay it suddenly sped up. Just a little bit of sneakiness I imagine from the manufacturers of the machine I figure.
No wonder your country stays so slim when it's this much work to get candies!
What a wonderful arcade, my child self would've been upset with these machines, but as an adult I'd appreciate the cheeky fun of it.

In most of these machines is not about your skill but these are programmed to fail, and work only once every X time. You can easily google about that.

Thank you for your videos! I’ve got flashbacks when I’ve been to Osaka a month before pandemic began. I liked warm coffee in bottles on hot shelves. It was very delicious. I am also missing rice rolls with filling of salmon, either a spicy fish and some more.

I love round 1, we have one here at my local mall. I'm terrible at the claw machines, my son and I go together when he comes to town, he is much better at them. I have a collection of plushies he has won for me over the years. I do take my grandchildren once a week, they love to play the games and win tickets for prizes. Great video, really enjoyed it!

The trick to the last game is when the box is a little bit in the hole, you want to get the claw under the edge but not grip the prize, so that it stands up without picking it up and will fall down the gap.

That Meth making kit looks like it's straight out of Breaking bad. I bet the blue one is the best.
The last machine was built unfair, it drops it at the slope so the box gets tilted and it's basically impossible to not have it stuck with an opening that tight. Kinda a pity, the other ones may not give you the candy at first try but at least you get something for being persistent.
Likely needed to be played in a non-intended way, like using one claw to push it into the hole after it was lined up, rather than picking it up again
The voice is similar to the UFO catcher in the Yakuza games :3

the claw games look so fun and addictive! I have a friend who does the online claw games some times and she even says they are very addictive and you have to really limit yourself because it's easy to spend so much money playing them! Sorry you couldn't get the Wasabi chips! What are they called? I am eager to see if i can find them to buy online and try them myself! Thank you for another fun video! In the last game, the box needed a slight push. Perhaps instead of aiming to grab, you could have tried to aim for the corners or sides of the box to correct its angle, allowing it to slide. However, it's understandable since this task can be quite challenging - still, RIP wallet. Keep practicing though! :)
We have Round 1 in the US! Lots of claw machines in them as well as regular arcade games and a bowling alley.
I would've been swearing at that Wasabi chip claw machine. That was so unsatisfying.

The last machine, you cannot get the prize with Balanced Catch. You have to push the prize to the gap with the claws, in order for it to fall through the gap. Lower the claws at the side of the prize box in order to push it into the gap
It needs practice but i would not recommend it, for your own wallet. Lolol
