I really wonder if you know how insanely valuable your channel is. As a 1st year medical student, I have at least 4 specialities I know I want to pursue and as I progress throughout medical school my choices will narrow and your channel continuously provides invaluable insight to the various specialties from physician and not just reading about. THANK YOU, and best of luck with your rotations
This series has been so helpful! Currently an M1 and I’m between ophthalmology, anesthesiology, cardiology, and orthopedics. This series has helped clear a ton of things up about each speciality.
Ortho is the game, no doubts. Most diverse, variety of procedures and different treatment options and indications in one pathology, anatomy lovers spec, best toys out there, occupies the largest surface of the human body (upper extremities, lower extremities, spine and pelvis), the field is always evolving and innovating, you really get to work with your hands, create build reconstruct and restore, same case with different patterns and postop clinical and radiological outcomes for every and each patient, inventive and creative field... I could definitely not stop reciting the perks..
they all inspire me so much I have so much respect for all of them and their specialties i want to one day help & heal people like they do it will be long journey but I will get there hopefully ☺️ watching as a teenager
Hello! Happy New Year! Great compilation by the way! I was hoping if you know any IMGs and maybe interview them about their journey in the US as residents.. Thank you! and more power to your channel!
no doubt neurosurg is one if not one the most challenging and rewarding specialties of med. Only few choose that field thats why a lot of stigma when you see a neurosurg around in a hospital
I’m on my Clinical Clerkship Year (4th yr medical student) but I still have no idea what should I specialize😅 Thanks for this video! Cheers to all medical students around the world! Happy holidays everyone☺️
Wierd question but which speciality has the least diversity? Like more or less each day is kinda the same, not necessarily boring but reassuring. I'm in my first year of med school and I can't wrap my head around the fact that I have to know SOO many things and know them well to be able to save someone's life...like if there is a specialty where there are no major surprises in your day to day schedule and you know that you have to good in this this and this particular things, then like you have a peace of mind....am i making sense lol ?
I wanted to listen more to that interventional radiologist part but it was only 7 seconds and u mixed the urology and radiologist part in the same timeline
I am not even sure how to go from high school to college to med school, but all I know is that I want to end up doing orthopedic surgery (primarily focusing on spinal injuries or sports orthopedic surgery). Any suggestions with how to go from regular high school to this type of surgeon?
When you enter college, you're number one priority is to work on getting good study habits and focusing on your own wellness. A common mistake is trying to do so much early on in your academic career for your medical school application. Trust me, the most successful students I know that got in to medical school focused on study habits and pursuing their own interests. Your next priority is shadowing a doctor. Since you're interested in orthopedics, find an orthopedic doctor or sports medicine doctor to shadow.
Please please use some energetic tone your voice made me sleep i can't feel that aura like other medicos u tubers here new to this channel first video here.... Content is Good ... 💫
