Would you prefer staying in academics or opening up your own private practice?
@Digby Dooright Money isn't everything when it comes to choosing a specialty. Just watch some medical drama's and notice how each doctor is characterized based on their specialty. Social pressures to be in the most respectable and valuable position informs on many peoples choices. Of course personal values and beliefs are also important, but finding people who value curing mental illness over physical illness is still rare. Also, Somebody who is interested in Psychiatry might tell you they want Neurology because it is seen as more respectable even if disorders of mood and thought is their core interest.
I love teaching more than I hate writing research papers, so academics for me. :)
@Digby Dooright qq I/aa
@Digby Dooright where ? google says otherwise
If I was a doctor, I would be a diagnostic breast radiologist in academic practice because I would still be making a stable salary every year even if I only see one or no patients. I also enjoy research, academics and teaching.
When you asked how many years he has been in practice, I was ready for him to say 3 years.....
21 years!?! He looks like he's 35 years old
Thats on the ENT lifestyle...well compensated and low stress
@@NDMD Exactly why I'm going into this field ;)
@@NDMD Really? Not true in India.
35 y. o.? More like 25 !!!!
EXACTLY
Such a good looking guy
Wowsa
This was probably my favorite so far, he is so well spoken… you can tell he is one of those doctors who will sit down with the family and explain everything. & he showed you around too, loved it!
haha thank you for watching! and yes definitely an amazing doc, everyone i get for interviews are some of the best in their field both as physicians and just overall people
Respectfully, he’s a beautiful human being.
i dont think that could have been taken disrespectfully🤨😭
I love how every ENT surgeon says they chose the specialty for “the anatomy”. It never fails!
I am just watching the houses of those doctors and gonna choose my specialty depending on the most beautiful and luxury doctor's house.
It's the best reflector of lifestyle and income 😂
Honestly….not the worst idea ever😂
😆
Wow. Don’t go into medicine then.
@@johnyy09 too late
Lmao, so far the neurologists on the lead
This is the first of these videos I've seen, but I have to say that this is a great format for picking the brains of physicians. Surprisingly, the "day in the life" videos aren't usually all that enlightening, but this in-depth questionnaire was very informative. Keep them coming! I found this to be far more insightful than the average "physician's life" video.
I always knew that I wanted to be a surgeon, loved anatomy and my favourite was Head and neck anatomy. I also hate research and writing research papers. I am an Otolaryngologist too. Nice to know I have something in common with this wonderful doctor.:)
Good to bump into you here, Deeksha!! 😀
Hey deeksha! I want to get into ent here in india. What's that we hear about saturation in the field?
ND MD, do you why these series are great? Because straight to the point and no annoying intro or background music. Thank you
I love his honest answer to the question of ever thinking you would not make it in medicine. He was genuine, so well spoken, and kind! Wifey, let him get that message chair 😂
I'm applying into ENT this year and am so excited!! Love this interview.
I was very excited to see a sleep specialist here! I'm a resident in neurology and I am looking into becoming a somnologist (Armenia). Very happy to meet you, doctor!
My second favorite interview. The pediatric ER doc was awesome too! This was great! This guy seems like a good doctor and a good man.
I’ve probably watched this interview more than the others. ENT is a fascinating specialty!
What he said about changing the pressure to rush the time with patients. I agree. It’s a shame insurance has pressured providers to keep limiting their time with patients.
I’m very fortunate to work with my ENT. Even when I’m probably the last person of his day & he’s probably exhausted….
He still takes the time to spend time answering my questions while showing he’s truly trying to do his best to help with whatever is going on. I can tell he really cares for his patients.
I’m having surgery with him 5/18/22 to hopefully fixed being able to breathe thru my nose. I’ve had 1 surgery & 1 procedure to work towards fixing this.
I’m anatomically restricted for getting airflow in. That makes sleep, life, & martial arts performance, all difficult.
Thanks to all of the ENT Doctors for what they do! ❤️
I’m one of many people that love doing life & Sports that are hard without proper airflow.
Y’all make it possible for us to live life and enjoy our sports to the fullest.
Thank You! ❤️
21 years! And looks like he's in his 20s!
Im in the first year of ENT specialty and I love it
i will choose ENT as a speciality could you give me any advice about it as i'm not sure if it's better or plastic ?
@@mahmoudgafar-d8r Im already in the last year, about to finish ENT in December. I dont regret, in my opinion i like it better than plastic, a lot of option to work on, ear, nose, plastic face surgery, oncology, many options. Let me know what you chose
73 questions with emergency medicine resident next please...
When he grabbed the ice out the chest and not a refrigerator I knew he wasn’t a rookie
Really enjoyed this one! Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much :)
@9:30 Well, it is a relief to hear that a consultant with 21 years of experience still feels nervous. Me being a house officer, I sometimes feel like begging someone to help me during a 48 hr ER shift.
Love his answer specially about the doubt when you do and quiz and exam 🙋🏻♀️
This is one hell of a smart guy
One of the best and genuine interviews, love it!
I really enjoy the ones that face the cameras and don't speak with their back turned or run all over their house pretending to be super busy.
The best aged person ever omg🤧🐐
Can you do a "73 question with a Neurosurgeon" please.
He did it
@@rishisolanki783 :O
@@rishisolanki783 thanks for letting me know
As a third year student at med school, I know the answer to the question asked on 8:30 😅 so glad
I am in pre-nursing we just learned this at the end of the semester a few weeks ago!
I’m not in medicine, but I truly love watching these! Thank you!
73 questions with an oncologist and a radiologist please!
This was really helpful and fun to watch! Thank you!
Can you please do 73 questions with an ophthalmologist ?
great series. i'm a psychiatry resident.
Great interview 😃
Thank you!
Pre-Nursing student here and I have to say, I was quite pleased to know that I knew the answer to his question at @08:30 right off the bat :)
Such a beautiful home.
Thanks for the interview of ent doctor.
I ve been practicing in s.korea for 8 yrs as ent-private clininic
Generally, it is hard to work and do procedure. But, most challenging things are meeeting rude patients.
😅
Please, Mama Doctor Jones next!
At least by zoom
This is awesome! I love this!
This is probably my most favorite one. Because some of his interview answers are super funny.
The house so beautiful!!!
BROO can't wait for your channel to take off lol. REMEMBER ME haha.
Can we ask a 74th question in future episodes? xD
Can you do 73 questions with a Allergist??
Could you do one with an Audiologist?
i can look into it!
My favorite so far.
Never get a turbinate reduction surgery. Turbinates are vital organs that are often overlooked by ENTs. Turbinate reductions could end up costing you your health and severe irreversible injuries. The extent of injuries are also not discussed in full detail with patients.
Please do one with an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon
Can you interview an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon?
Do dr.glaucomfleken next!!
tell him to answer my emails then haha
@@NDMD you can reach him now in youtube
I looooove all of your youtube videos.. keep it up nd!!
thank you so much :)
What a role model
Go back to this video often I think I found the specialty for me yet im so far
I wouldn’t mind if he plays Sherlock or Doctor strange in future ✌🏻💯
I knew the arnold nerve😂
I loved loved this interview
my third time watching this interview, fascinating!
I love these videos I know the formats are doctors how about PT or OT on here? Clinical or in hospital
similarity b/w Dr. Lindman and Dr. Cellini's video... "Go dogs"
I would love if this Dr was in my area….I awake regularly with one nostril clogged where NO air gets thru it. I wonder what causes this and is it possible that both could clog at the same time when you are sleeping????
Nostrils actually take turns being "clogged". It can be something as simple as increased blood flow from your position which causes your turbinates to fill with blood and causes a "clogged" senstation but in reality there is no mucus or actual obstruction. It's a natural process that happens to most people. Another common cause is inflammation from an allergen or external irritant. It's not life threatening.
Does he take call do you know? I guess he only works 4 days a week if he works 35hrs/week. Cool guy and lifestyle!
He does take call! He leads our Bible study and had to literally leave in the middle of one to go in😂but not too bad usually
Nice home
Missing just ophtalmo now
hey ND MD is possible to know if Dr. Lindman is open to take undergrad for shadowing! if so how can we reach out to him?
35 hrs a week😲
😂 I know right, I was thinking now that is living the life.
very difficult to get into ENT
could you do one with obgyn or derm? or family medicine
working on derm and OBGYN right now! tag Dr. Mike so he can cover family med lol
he reminds me a lot of the actor Ralph Fiennes physically. Anyway nice interview!
Hey..... thanks a bunch for this amazing video 🥰 Can you please make a video on how to do academic practice?? 😁😁
Do one with DR. MIKE ( family medicine)
what does hyper pneumatization of bilateral mastoid means?
Can you do a sonographer interview? 🙏🏼
And a MBA WOW!
If you know how they act, you can sort of tell in his personality
@@tomare6479how who acts?
Why do ENTs continue to not help patients who are severely injured by unecessary aggressive and conservative turbinate/septoplasty surgeries? Why are these surgeries marketed in the first place? These are important organs that should not be touched unless there is a cancer or tumor yet ENTs continue to persuade patients into doing these procedures. Is there no ethics once the oath is taken?
Ent specialists in iran mostly do lots of rhinoplasty
Empty nose syndrome ? What your opinion about?
Private practice!!!
why not ask about income range ?
What location is this in?
These 73Q inspires me to do better and be better! Thank you! @priskillerz
Can you do audiologist please?
Smart doc! But whose favorite animal is a bird? 😂😉
Do opthomalogists
Looks like Dustin Lance Black
I collapsed at work in Jan. The 1st ent who wouldn't listen (no pun intended) threw my father (on a cane) and I out when I pushed it. Next ent didn't want to proceed until got mri and other results from 1st one and said will call in 2weeks. I called this morning (a month later) and got an ignorant run around. I am in pain. I am unable to work. Can anyone recommend an ent in n. Georgia who might actually treat me? Need help please.
This dude said 35 hrs a week. Okay, sign me in
My only preferred track 😍
Hey I’ve had clear mucus in my throat for 3 months now, no other symptoms. No runny or clogged nose aswell. Just the mucus in the throat. Can ENTs cure thisv
Yes. Sometimes

Why are patients who have life altering injuries due to turbinate surgery get ignored and pushed away from the very surgeons they put their trust in?
wife?? I thought for sure he was gay... just sayin..
I'm more surprised he compares his nurse to his wife 😂
Fun question: is he gay? Got to be.
If you watched the entire video you would have heard him say he has a wife and 2 kids.
Why gay?
@@annajones9701 because he is southern and gentle. Idk why people fall for that stereotype
Hehe until he said he has wife and 2 boys..he's kinda cute
@@IK-fg4gw he can be a closet gay case or be bisexual.
Ask the ENT doctor about Empty Nose Syndrome and they get quiet real fast. They are happy to keep making money off the surgery, but want to sweep this condition under the rug. People become doctors to make money--nothing more.
Why don't you become a doctor then?
@@stoicsingh472 Because I don't want to make money by ruining people's lives. What a dumb question.
@@moonrice555 so do it for free and cure people...? You don't need to charge them if you don't want to
