    There's a big shortage of physicians in primary care so I thought it would be great to shed some light on Internal Medicine. Hope you all enjoy! Also Drake is the best doggo.

    I'm IM. I just finished a 120 hr 10 day stretch. Now I just have acute rehab so 3 hr days for the next week then inpatient again. I get a true day off like twice a month right now. might make about half a mil this year but in IM that's a lot of hours.

    • @himangshuhazarika3
      @himangshuhazarika3 3 года назад +3

      Damn! That’s a lot of hours! I have a question. If one works as a hospitalist 7 on 7 off, they earn like 250k on average right? So if they pick up more shifts the weeks they’re off, they can make almost double that, just like you are, isn’t that correct? However, a Cardiologist or maybe a Gastroenterologist works 5 days a week shifts and earn almost 500k as well. So wouldn’t you say the pay in IM is comparable to Cardiology/GI??

    My random nerdy medical fact: vibrators were invented by a doctor. It was a treatment for female hysteria. I wish I could prescribe it for these pseudo-seizure patients that come in to the hospital.
