would love to bring more lifestyle ish stuff. i half don't know whether you guys want to see it and half forget to take the camera out because i try to enjoy it without needing to film all the time
I love the Bluey cap! You look so happy being back in your element. I would enjoy seeing a day in the life of Dr. Andy if you would like to share . Here for it all😊
Looking forward to seeing more of your anesthesia journey. I'm a CVICU nurse currently applying to Crna school and I have great respect for md anesthesia. We couldn't do what we do without you guys.
I mesmerized with your variousness hat’s surgeon doctor and how brave and enjoy your friend still vloging in the room operation, such as calming sounds like nothing happened would scarry like some patient feel. You are so cool bruh, thankyou for The explanation doctor Andy, it was so smooth and you are very talkative person and so much detail with the screen shared it was dizzy by the way but feel so fun because how you explain it 🤩💫
How do you feel about CRNA encroachment in anesthesia? I know this conversation comes up every year, but what does the future of anesthesia look like? Of course, I don't think anesthesiologists will get replaced entirely, but do you think what used to require 10 physicians to staff will only need 1-2 physicians for more important/complex cases that CRNA's can't deal with? I mean, if I was admin, I would definitely hire CRNA's over anesthesia to save the hospital money and hire few physicians for more complicated cases. Just curious on your thoughts!
There’s enough patients that need surgery for Anesthesia professionals to go around. An anesthesiologist would always be needed because they are usually the ones that can manage like 4 different rooms making sure everything is going okay while the CRNA’s can complete the procedures. I wouldn’t be too worried
Hey Andi. Asked this question in a previous video. I know you went to MCG and they offer MD/MPH or MD/MBA as part of their enrichment phase without additional cost or years. Is there a reason the majority (including yourself) didn't opt for it? What are some of the downsides? Thanks and great content by the way.
Great question, it’s all about interest. I did not have a particular interest in MPH or MBA so I didn’t pursue it. The curriculum also wasn’t flushed out yet so it was a gamble for my class to pursue it. It’s probably changed over the years so can’t comment on it in its current state
@NDMD ok Andy. Thanks. I'm glad you're slowly getting in the flow. You'll be awesome. Considering anesthesiology as well, and I have to say, you've inspired me.
Not that you’re taking any more standardised tests but a testing routine would be nice. Sorry I’m commenting a lot, I need to wait until the end of the video and post it all at once.
Bones Bro definitely need more time to prep for Step 3. Like any Bones Bro will tell you, they don't need a stethoscope because you can't hear bones healing.
the USMLE CS is a waste of time. It’s completely unrealistic and serves no one. In reality, it should penalize for over-ordering. I do know that the COMLEX apparently penalizes for this, but either way it’s a scam.
Wow a chill rotation I can actually post a vid😭
Watching you go through that case during your studying was interesting! I would watch more if u posted it 😁
Good to know :) would love to do more educational stuff in the future
@@NDMD please, that would be amazing!
Me too
happy to see you getting the joy back on this rotation!! I love watching vlogs with mundane stuff or exploring the city !

ah best of luck! it's an incredible field and all that CVICU experience is going to be great to carry into the OR!

Premed here, I knew the diagnosis. Proud 😊 (did a year of Biomed before)
So fun!! I got it before you said it. I enjoyed this video and seeing you cheerful!!
The GOAT 😍
No you homie
You’re funny and informative! Keep up the good work.
Oh I'm an RT I knew about that needle decompression the moment you mentioned tracheal deviation and absent sounds
Not sure if you mentioned it, but it seems like the CCS Cases are kinda like a game ;)
Glad to see you in a good mood 😀
Anesthesia = happy place
Do you think Amboss is good enough for STEP 3? I'm leaning towards it cause it's cheaper. Also they have a solid bioethics resource
we love medical content but lifestyle is also wanted!
Yes to livestreams and educacional videos! Thanks!
Within an hour gang 😄
Great Video!
Thank you :)
Love this educational content! 👏
Love to see the positive feedback :)

I feel like USMLE finds multiple ways to torture us with these exams 😭 good luck on ur exam though 🙏🏾
Was the OR case amputation??😅
Was it a burn debridement? Cool vlog!!
Always looking forward to your vids ,inspiring (medical student in Africa ) ….
Thank you for watching :)
The education videos would be something I would watch.
Please make a vid on midlevel encroachment in anesthesia!! And why you still chose it
Board certified veterinary anesthesiologist here. It is the best field!
omg we work so hard to understand human physiology idk how i could remember all the different animal physiologies!
Hey Andy, can you pst a video about things you do for nervous paediatric patients? Any other peds tips for a future peds surgeon?

Can you make a website with scans of your notes or a big book of all of it from college, med school, residency, I’d pay good money for it.
Is 25 years too old to start Pre Med? I haven't done any college but I feel like 25 is too old..
Some type of ortho surgery?
studying for step 3 is good
apparently i was the first of my anesthesia intern class to take it, figured it was better to get it out of the way as soon as possible
🙌🙌
Enjoyed watching the case, studying for step 1 rn
One step at a time, literally lol
No bucees in CT sadly
I know right 😭😭

Make more videos! If u can
trying my best :) definitely rotation dependent but still trying to keep up with things
deviated trachea and hyper-resonance to percussion highest of yields
classic picture and agreed very high yield
Bones Bro definitely need more time to prep for Step 3. Like any Bones Bro will tell you, they don't need a stethoscope because you can't hear bones healing.
All that sound means is the ancef pump is working
633 Immanuel Forge
My guess would be an arthroscopy
My guess: hip surgery or some type of amputation
Deviated Trach was an obvious!
Great catch :)
Some sort of ENT case? Sounded like a debridement
Ooooo close

agreed, but i don't make the rules 🤷♂️ i've ranted about it enough in my videos. i dont hate the player, i just hate the game
So bitlife
