I've been bitten by a dog 2 times. So either chain your dog outside or don't come inside at all. No disrespect to veterans, but dogs aren't always cute and friendly as you think. They're animals. They bite sometimes. So it's better in general to keep your dog outside a shop or restaurant.

@@Habib_Osman correct me if I am wrong, but I thought that service dogs were allowed anywhere, even in planes that pets are not
@@DiegoGonzalez-ml2di For sure, I looked it up and pretty much every store or gov building needs to allow service dogs. They are not allowed where a risk occurs "naturally". This means kitchens and operating rooms at hospitals can disallow service dogs entry. In my opinion, this is a bad thing. I think owners should be able to set the rules even if this reduces accessabillity.
I don't understand this. I was just a damned cashier in a restaurant and I know you can't kick someone out for having a service dog. How can you be a business owner and not know that?

It's a shame he got injured and I feel bad for him but we should be clear about his service. I served for 20 years; I was also a mercenary for the same out of control government, but I knew what time it was.
that card is useless....ADA doesn't require them and actually makes it illegal to ask for one. The state of Michigan where this occurred has a registry and certificaion program but it is voluntary. The card he showed was fake, it isn't the Michigan ID card for service animals. Anyone can buy a fake service dog vest and card off the internet and don't have to provide proof of anything, the Michigan card requires you to sign an affidavit of your medical need and what task the animal performs for you so you are in compliance with the ADA.
@@jamesw71 It just makes it easier when dealing with idiots like this owner and the guests. You're right that there's a difference between an emotional support animal and a service dog. Animals trained to aid with PTSD are service animals, not emotional support animals.
The article didn't go into what his dog was trained to do but being a combat vet missing a leg, it isn't a huge stretch of the imagination to guess at PTSD.
The business owner should understand that the service dog should've been allowed and the vet should realize his responsibility to inform what task the dog is trained to do when asked.
