My late husband served in Vietnam, USAF.He to,d me of being called a "baby killer" and not being able to find work so he left the US to work overseas in the Marshal Islands and eventually returned to the US. He never made a big deal about his service and he always squirmed when people would thank him for his service. When he passed I made sure to have the American Legion there at his memorial service to fold his burial flag and play Taps. Legion Riders were there to do a flag line outside the church. I wanted everyone in that church to know he was a veteran. God bless this gentleman in court and for the Judge who supports military servicemen and women.

I shook his hand and walked off. Then a few minutes later he was crying and his wife was hugging him. In my heart I believe I did the right thing. These Vietnam Vets went through PURE HELL!
