"The Few. The Proud. The Marines." I've heard that forever. It wasn't just created now for these commercials.
It was first used in 1977.
Proud to have done 7 years of service in the Marine Corps, Semper Fi to all my fellow Marines.
'U.S. Marine Corps Commercial: Anthem' is in my opinion the best one they have ever made, I highly recommend it.
Rah
Bless You
"The deadliest weapon in the world is a Marine and his rifle." John J. Pershing 1918
@@cygnusx-3217 Chesty Puller was the most decorated Marine in U.S. history. And War is a Racket wasn't an indictment of the Marines that serve, it's an indictment of the corporate and political elites that have built their fortunes as war profiteers.
As an Australian young man myself born in 1998 from Lakemba, New South Wales, Australia the United States Marine Corps makes the most amazing, most badass, most coolest, most emotional, most intimidating, most patriotic advertisements that I have ever seen like seriously they make it way better than other military branch groups.
Semper Fidelis to the marines. 🇺🇸👍🏾😎
Michael and I were in the same classroom grade 2 thru 8. Went to high school together too. He joined the marines. His first deployment we promised we'd write every day. I waved goodbye. He was dead three days later. I get a different feeling when I see these commercials. I say a prayer for each responder. God bless the military and the ones they leave behind.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
❤️
The sad part about being a Marine is that we die sometimes. I lived and survived my injuries. It always brings a tear to my eye when I think about all of those we have lost.
@@kokomo9764 Thank you for your service. Sending prayers for those we have lost❤️
But, 3 days?! What the… 💔
So proud of my son, earned the title United States Marine when he was 17 years old and served 2 tours in Afghanistan twice before he was 21. The commercials still give me chills.
Marine Mom, toughest job in the corp. 💯 My daughter has 10 years in, May 16, 2021. Thanks to your son and family for his service.
Congratulations you have a great and brave son for having served the country at 17 years old
There’s a lot of reason for pride in the Corps. They’re often the ones thrown into the fray first.
They are always thrown in first then the army an Navy
Yes, The Marines were created to go into battle, before they Navy.
The commercial that made me join was one where the Marine recruit climbs up a mountain and battles a fire demon at the top with a sword. You should watch that one.
That was the BEST commercial ever.
From a 70 year old US Air Force veteran- God Bless the USMC!!!
My father became a Marine during the Vietnam War where he spent much of his four years of service. When he came home he went to school, became an aerospace engineer, then spent his career helping to develop the V-22 Osprey which is shown in a few of the commercials. Last year he passed, but the work he did lives on. Once a Marine, always a Marine!
In the 80s, my advertising agency pitched to win the Marines account! We didn’t get it, but…
Everyone in the business said they were the nicest, easiest going client on earth…wonderful to work with. Not like other ballbusters we had to deal with.
Go figure.
Marines are good people until they have a reason not to be.
William "Billy" Brown does the voice over. Marine bootcamp is the hardest of them all, but what an accomplishment!
The Crucible…
No better friend... no worse enemy
From the Halls of Montezuma
To the shores of Tripoli
We will fight the county's battles
On the land the air and sea
First to fight for right and freedom and to keep our honor clean
We are proud to claim the title of United States Marines
-US Marine Corps Hymn
Makes me think of my dad. He was one of the few and the proud. Miss him.
So grateful for his service.
My oldest son is an Afghanistan combat vet Marine. He made friends as close as brothers. I would send boxes to him with treats for his friends and they were so thankful. I’m very proud to be a USMC Mom!
Me too. My son served in Desert Storm.
Semper Fi Mom!
So happy to see our Bell MV-22 flying! I have proudly worked for Bell 34 years!
My step father was a Marine during WWII. He served in Iwo jima and Guam. Proud of him for his service! Semper FI, Joseph.
Thanks. I served 4 yrs honorably in the USMC. Rah.
As the daughter of a Marine Officer (I’m now 34) I can tell you that their mentality is life long. I remember sitting in the cinemas before a movie with my Dad and when we’d see one of the Marine commercials my sister and I would look up at our Dad to see his reaction and smile and he’d just raise a fist in appreciation.
I graduated from Marine Corps Recruit Training in San Diego, California around this time ten years ago; there were a number of immigrants, including a Brit, who graduated along with me; military service is easily one of the best ways to earn citizenship
There's a particular thing about USMC recruitment commercials. There's never a mention of benefits and such. Those were a part of other branch adverts back in the day, but never in the USMC.
The USMC commercials are made to appeal to a particular personality type. "You think you're good enough? Well, sunshine, step up and prove it!" and "life as a Marine is gonna suck. It's gonna be hard. It's gonna be miserable. Think you're tough enough?"
There are no "I almost joined" Marines.
Always wanted to join the Marines but due to medical reasons I can’t I remember watching these commercials as a kid and getting motivated to do push ups and everything haha
I have three kids (all boys) and they are all in the service for America. I have 2 boys in the Marines and one in the Air Force.
Ayyy that’s my friend in the second commercial. We served together in 1/3 out in Hawaii and went to combat with each other. His name is Ali Diop. His sister is Anna Diop, she’s the actress that plays Starfire in HBO’s series Titans. I never knew that commercial existed.
About the commercials - "Her office referred calls to San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom's press office."
"The Marines were not denied a permit to film in San Francisco," said Nathan Ballard, director of communications for the mayor, adding, "we really appreciate their business and they're invited back anytime."- they wouldn't allow us to enter the city"
He's right they could film, just not show any Marines, only the streets.
I worked for a Japanese company - got more respect from them than the American CEO of US branch.
There is a lot of voice-over talent in the US. You should consider it, Kabir. You have a certain quality in your voice. And people in the US go crazy for a UK accent.
My husband was in the Marines! Served in Desert Storm. Ooh rah!
the first 2 commercials are the ones that got be back in 2010. once my recruiter pulled up in his challenger it was over.
It's weird to see a video from you without intro/outro, I'm so used to them being part of this. Love Marine commercials.
Had to switch things up!
We will always and forever be grateful and honor Our marines and military God bless you forever.
Lmaoooo 😂 😆 🤣 hey bru, love it!
Now, watch the scene in generation kill when ray is talking about the dress bikes and a sword comercial
One shouldn't overlook the Marines Toys-for-Tots commercials.
Yes, that is a Marine Reserve program.
as a Devil Dog myselfe....im mad the one that got me wasnt here...still mad i didnt get to slay a dragon...IYKYK
I'm 46 years old and that has been the tagline for the Marines as long as I can remember
I'm 73 and it was the tagline when I was on active duty at age 17.
3rd LAAD 2015-2019 Semper Fi. Fuck I love it
It is amazing that there are people with physical and mental problems that find it hard to believe they were not able to join.
The United States has created the deadliest weapons system in the history of mankind. A 19 year old Marine with their weapon! If you have never reviewed the Silent Drill Platoon videos....It is worth your while. Thanks again.
Oorah! 💯👊
Semper Fi !!!!!!!!
Need to check out the toys for tots but be ready mite bring a tear
If you haven't already, watch the Silent Drill Platoon at work...
My dream was to be a United States Marines or Army doctor. Unfortunately due to a brain 🧠 tumor that dream went out the window. Now I volunteer with the Vietnam Veterans of America because my uncle was a Marine during the war. And it's been great meeting the veterans and the families.
Side note... the brain tumor is gone and all good here.
you should check out the video for the warrior song hard corps also the swedish metal band sabiton has a song called devil dogscheckout that video too
Thank you for posting those titles.
Hello Kabir, I have a suggestion you may find interesting, Lorretta Lynn is one of country music's Royals... How about doing her song Coal Miners Daughter and then this video where she talks about her life when growing up, it's not very long. 1st is the song [Live Performance] "Lorretta Lynn- The Coal Miner's Daughter "(Channel: Wally Eastwood's Peggy Sue Fan Channel)" and this is the 2nd about her telling her story. "Lorretta Lyn" How She Became The Coal Miners Daughter" I hope you decide to check this out, in my [humble opinion] this is history and since you also do history video's, as well as, music. I thought you may find this intriguing. Take Care and have a great day~
You should consider watching the best of Toys for Tots commercials, featuring the Marine Corp.
Like we used to tell Army soldiers. Be..Be All U can Wannabe.. Be ME!! LMAO
Have you reacted to the Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon? If not I recommend the performance at Galentin High School!!
A Marine has to earn the title of Marine. If he isn't awarded his eagle globe and anchor his on;y choice is the Army or some other service. There are no 'almost' Marines.
The marines are the only branch that the president can send instantly without congressional approval
The usual combat tactics for us is first air assault to establish air superiority, next slam them with naval guns to soften the landing area, after drop army rangers behind enemy lines just behind enemy bunkers to scout and report but also hitting them from the back at the Same time, marines hit the beach in armored transports hitting the enemy from the front, marines secure the landing zone and the army goes ashore moving forward while the rangers scout more bunkers and gun emplacements taking out what they can, marines follow behind hitting major targets one by one and the army goes a different way by hitting left or right of the marines, basically the marines act like a jab in boxing and the army ends the fight with the knockout blow. Although the marines do fight their own battles completely on their own if needed. The navy is on standby ready to provide air or gun support or possibly manpower if needed. The Air Force is on patrol duty but any enemy of opportunity they with strike it down like airports or dogfights they do it. The Air Force rarely fight on the ground as their job is to hit from the sky but they can fire pistols and rifles like normal soldiers on the ground though they often don’t like to.
Semper Fidelis ...God bless the Marine Corp USA
I respect our military so much… but I’m a freezer. I wouldn’t run either way! I would just become immobile 😩
Oh man. Almost makes you want to re-enlist. Lol. Almost.
The Marine Corps has now made it harder for someone to join they're not going to take just anybody anymore. You are tested physically and mentally before they will even send you to boot camp.
you left off betty botter making a sword in the marines commercial
I think if I had to do it all again , I would serve my country. Though if I did, my children would not have been born when I was very very young. I wouldn't trade my life with them for all the money in the world.
If you don't jump in that water they'll throw you in.
The tagline is decades old.
You should react to the ragged old flag super bowl commercial
If you like bad ass you should react to MrBallen's video called Navy SEAL goes rogue in Iraq. That guy is amazing!!!!
Could I recommend u watch the most badass us military commercials?
Semper Fi.
U should do a reaction to the Marine Silent Drill Team
There is no such thing as an ex- marine.
So so true. My dad was in Guam WWII. His gruff discipline was present til he passed. But I was the youngest daughter and well as snarky as he was, and heck I wasn't afraid of him, so apparently as my sister and mom said, I had him wound around my little finger. Even a hardened Marine will cave to the toughest of all torture LOL 😂
In 1997 I was considering what to do after highschool, and walked into a multi-service recruiting station.
The army, navy, Air Force, and coast guard spend a lot of time talking you in to joining them,
But the marine corps spends even longer showing you videos to scare you back to the other service recruiters. Obviously that attracts even more the people they are looking for, but I think it’s still an accurate representation of what they are about.
I’ve also been told that transferring from the Marines into any other branch is an instant rank upgrade, but I’m not 100% on the details.
Do you love The USA or what Kabir : )
I think i do!
I wanted to be a marine super bad but they wouldn't let me cause of my disability. Was so mad at first
The voiceovers are probably done by a eighty year old geezer from Pittsburgh...
Semper fi to the Marines forever. *** I want to make a statement that will likely get me some blowback, sorry, coz I love our Marines... but 100 Royal Marines beat the crap out 1500 US Marines in the most recent wargames. Someone said the UK had their SF. I'm thinkin' if we had 100 hunters out there, they would have kicked the SF. Sorry about that Kabir. But I am saddened to see what has happened to the few, the proud, the Marines this past year. My father taught the snipers in the Marines in WWII (my mom told me) and was one who stormed Guam. One of the guys who took the secrets and stories with him to the grave.
You do understand there are many rules to those games, right?
The guy just out of the gas chamber, where is the ropes of snot?
Inside his gas mask.
You don't have to be a US citizen to join.
Go and show Russia.
And Hamas what you are made of
Ahhh yes American military propaganda
