As an Australian young man myself born in 1998 from Lakemba, New South Wales, Australia the United States Marine Corps makes the most amazing, most badass, most coolest, most emotional, most intimidating, most patriotic advertisements that I have ever seen like seriously they make it way better than other military branch groups.
Semper Fidelis to the marines. 🇺🇸👍🏾😎

Michael and I were in the same classroom grade 2 thru 8. Went to high school together too. He joined the marines. His first deployment we promised we'd write every day. I waved goodbye. He was dead three days later. I get a different feeling when I see these commercials. I say a prayer for each responder. God bless the military and the ones they leave behind.

My father became a Marine during the Vietnam War where he spent much of his four years of service. When he came home he went to school, became an aerospace engineer, then spent his career helping to develop the V-22 Osprey which is shown in a few of the commercials. Last year he passed, but the work he did lives on. Once a Marine, always a Marine!

There's a particular thing about USMC recruitment commercials. There's never a mention of benefits and such. Those were a part of other branch adverts back in the day, but never in the USMC.
The USMC commercials are made to appeal to a particular personality type. "You think you're good enough? Well, sunshine, step up and prove it!" and "life as a Marine is gonna suck. It's gonna be hard. It's gonna be miserable. Think you're tough enough?"

About the commercials - "Her office referred calls to San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom's press office."
"The Marines were not denied a permit to film in San Francisco," said Nathan Ballard, director of communications for the mayor, adding, "we really appreciate their business and they're invited back anytime."- they wouldn't allow us to enter the city"
He's right they could film, just not show any Marines, only the streets.
I worked for a Japanese company - got more respect from them than the American CEO of US branch.

Hello Kabir, I have a suggestion you may find interesting, Lorretta Lynn is one of country music's Royals... How about doing her song Coal Miners Daughter and then this video where she talks about her life when growing up, it's not very long. 1st is the song [Live Performance] "Lorretta Lynn- The Coal Miner's Daughter "(Channel: Wally Eastwood's Peggy Sue Fan Channel)" and this is the 2nd about her telling her story. "Lorretta Lyn" How She Became The Coal Miners Daughter" I hope you decide to check this out, in my [humble opinion] this is history and since you also do history video's, as well as, music. I thought you may find this intriguing. Take Care and have a great day~

The usual combat tactics for us is first air assault to establish air superiority, next slam them with naval guns to soften the landing area, after drop army rangers behind enemy lines just behind enemy bunkers to scout and report but also hitting them from the back at the Same time, marines hit the beach in armored transports hitting the enemy from the front, marines secure the landing zone and the army goes ashore moving forward while the rangers scout more bunkers and gun emplacements taking out what they can, marines follow behind hitting major targets one by one and the army goes a different way by hitting left or right of the marines, basically the marines act like a jab in boxing and the army ends the fight with the knockout blow. Although the marines do fight their own battles completely on their own if needed. The navy is on standby ready to provide air or gun support or possibly manpower if needed. The Air Force is on patrol duty but any enemy of opportunity they with strike it down like airports or dogfights they do it. The Air Force rarely fight on the ground as their job is to hit from the sky but they can fire pistols and rifles like normal soldiers on the ground though they often don’t like to.

In 1997 I was considering what to do after highschool, and walked into a multi-service recruiting station.
The army, navy, Air Force, and coast guard spend a lot of time talking you in to joining them,
But the marine corps spends even longer showing you videos to scare you back to the other service recruiters. Obviously that attracts even more the people they are looking for, but I think it’s still an accurate representation of what they are about.
I’ve also been told that transferring from the Marines into any other branch is an instant rank upgrade, but I’m not 100% on the details.

But I am saddened to see what has happened to the few, the proud, the Marines this past year. My father taught the snipers in the Marines in WWII (my mom told me) and was one who stormed Guam.
