My uncle who worked in the industry told me about this app!! Definitely will be using this for this upcoming project I am working on with multiple artists I met off a music app!!
Should I master my beat separately then when finished song master it also or just do the beat and song threw emaster I mean it’s free so why not master the beat then the track what’s your thoughts
Did you emaster each track/instrument by itself or did you emaster the whole track as one file? I have a problem with the drums; if the toms are to high I lower them but then the compressor (I guess) in emaster increase the volume back to where I started. I’m thinking now about emastering everything except the drums and them put the drums in as a file itself since the drums technically already are mixed in reason. Hope you get my point. Thanx 🙏🏽👑
This is not a good way to go about music production. You only wanna master once you have a final mixed song. It’s the last step in the music production process for the exported wav/mp3 file. If you have a problem with the toms or any specific instrument then that problem is only truly solved in mixing/sound selection. Bring down the toms volume level and make them sound good throughout the song then if anything needs to be lowered or brought up/eq/comp/fx then do that. Then listen to the whole song Till satisfied(against a reference track so U can compare it to a professional sounding mix) and export the file as a whole song so emastering can bring the volume up and “mix” the song as a whole. Emastering will bring up the volume to a certain competitive lufs level and change the tones of the song.
Sick beats, I'm right now wondering if eMastered is worth it, I have been learning mixing and mastering techniques, tips and going deep a lot into using DAW software but I think eMastered could achieve that final polishing step, what are u thoughts on this? I think this is a good idea for independent artist at mid entry levels if they are also covering the basics and hitting right the music production knowledge at least from my POV this is just a bridge between the initial career of an artist/producer until he/she can afford more stuff to do better things
I think its a much better idea to finish those final polishing steps yourself if you have a in depth understanding of mastering. I say this because 1. it sounds like you have the knowledge already and just need that extra push to finish and complete a almost complete project. 2. Its free forever if you know how to do it yourself and 3. You can do so many things yourself that Emasterting can't do, small little adjustments to you specific taste can really make all the difference in what sound YOUR going for. Emastering can be a great tool for a novice/ intermediate mastering engineer but if your almost finishing projects yourself its very ideal to push urself to learn those last tidbits and hone that knowledge for any future use you may have for it. Things like lufs, compression, eq and limiting are most of what mastering accomplishes and when you get all those down its smooth sailing.
Elite Bars no u need to mix everything properly still. What mastering is doing is basically making it sound the best on all sound systems. So don’t skip any steps with that
@@Sty1eBeats7 which option is that, im only seeing these ones : mastering intensity, compressor intensity, equalization intensity, stereo width, volume and equalization
@@johnnyvalentino8720 should be under equalization. However if that’s not a setting u might just have to go into your daw and just lower it with an eq by hand.
if Emaster is kind of messing up the instrumental that I'm rapping to, like for example the claps don't hit properly, is it a good idea to just master the vocals since the beat mix I already like the way it is? Thanks!
I personally wouldn’t do it that way since the algorithm is probably not favored with just vocals. I would try it, see how it comes out and if it sounds like professional vocals then u got a winner. If it doesn’t go well I would just keep the beat and mix the vocals with the beat for a uniform sound. Don’t be Afraid to use the reference track feature also. you can achieve a lot of different types of mixes. Np!
ThisIsKidSean I’ve never experienced that personally but it might just be the claps either aren’t quantized or u have the settings on 2 high. Try lowering all the settings and see how much it changes.

Thanks for the video my friend. I have a doubt: I have ten musics of a CD that are not in the same volume level. How I can change all these ten musics to the same level through this tool?
Not necessarily. Simply adding a limiter to the master track and increasing the gain without increasing the ceiling so all ur songs are brought up to the same volume level. That would be easier and free. Lemme know how it goes.
@@Sty1eBeats7 Wow, amazing. I don't understand much about mixing musics, but I realized there are the option "Mastering Options". Such like: Mastering Intensity, Equalization Intensity, Stereo Width, Volume and Equalization. If I choose (with all my songs) to put in all these categories in the option "Normal", this tool automatically let all they in the same level? Excuse in asking about this for you, but I guess you can help me!
@@EspantoNoturno yeah it would even all ur songs out volume wise and add the effects of compression and stuff So you can definitely take this route. However like I said if u wanna just make ur music all the same loudness u can accomplish that by doing what I preciously stated.
@@EspantoNoturno I highly recommend trying to understand the basics of eq, compression and limiting and then trying to master your music yourself in the future since every track is different the result Will be better and will save you money in the process.
the only difference that i hear is in volume. download both files, put them at equal volume levels and THEN do a review video. there's trickery in the presentation of the online samples
Yeah they mastering services and mastering In general usually makes sure the volume levels are around -14 lufs or close to it. If u try to master somthing at already full volume there’s nothing more than can be done. The software or any individual mastering engineer will have a hard time working with something like that. Can’t add compression can’t really change the frequencies tone with eq since they squashed already. At least that’s the way I see it. Lemme know ur thoughts.
I’d also suggest if software really doesn’t achieve the desired result just learning how to master urself will save u money and give yourself a lot more freedom to add ur own creative take on it. It’s mostly comprised of compression,eq, imaging and reading meters like lufs and peak levels to achieve a good sound on all devices.
I’ve had the same problems. Try using a reference track or lowering the settings on the master like the compression. I almost never use the default settings.
Afro beat Maker Shakur the emastered settings, usually everything on low sounds really good if u apply some mastering urself. If there’s 2 much air still u need to mix some sounds better. Usually piano has a lot of air around 16k hz look for the air and reduce it with eq
I know this was done a few years ago just listening to the song you are mastering has hardly got any instruments in it. I say your mix was possibly bad from the beginning, but I noticed with Emastered it’s too much compressed can’t seem to escape that it always sounds hot. Just saying I’ll try that one more month but I say unless I can get around this I probably will cancel the subscription…
