Hey man, this was an awesome video, and a really original idea. I haven’t seen anyone make a video anything like this before, and this is really in-depth. The only thing I would like to mention is this: At 16:14, you make a point that the Ozone 9 master is not as ‘beefy’ as the Landr master and is the skinniest of the masters. Not sure if you know this, but Ozone is capable of a lot more than what you left the settings as. Keep the True Peak setting on, and raise the Ceiling to around -0.01. Then lower the Threshold just a little past when the limiter starts working. This will push the track right before clipping, ensuring your track has as much perceived loudness as possible. Also, keep the IRC mode to IRC IV (you can go down to IRC III if it starts to eat up your CPU). This just affects how precisely Ozone 9 listens to your track (I think). Finally, keep the Character on the fast side, around 0.40 . You don’t really have to touch any of the other knobs, they don’t do too much. I really hope you take this advice, it will highly improve the quality of your masters if you continue to use Ozone 9 in the future.
Thank you so much! Yeah I mentioned that the master assist was just the beginning of the process to mastering but I wanted to just stick to the mindless, effortlessness of AI Mastering. And then you could make it sound even better by adding the different layers of effects in Ozone. I'll pin your comment so people can understand Ozone better :)
@@SimulationBeats thanks for paying attention man. Your videos are truly gifts to the music production community. I hope you go far for the effort that you put into your work.
Thats dope that you payed for mastering just to show us all the dynamics of them, i think shows how loyal you are to bring authenticity and realness to this, you got my subscribe and like. And further Support
You really went to work in this video. So much effort. Honestly the thought and effort(the chopping up of the different mastered audios and going from short snippets of each one and back again especially) of this relatively short vid is the equivalent of a big budget Hollywood movie. Thanx immensely
Superb video.Well done ! I actually enjoy using emastered because I can just use it as much as I want , to help me improve my mixes by just feeding it with the tracks constantly.
Really helpful! Thank you! One question: Other than sound, are these AI masters professional enough for placement in a TV show? Are they lacking in any way that a pro (human) engineer would give me? I've been working with a pro and there are definite challenges. Sometimes he's spot on, but other times he makes creative decisions I don't agree with and changes need to be made. Other times, I make creative decisions myself down the line (like I want to add a part), which means a new master, so things start getting pricey. But my biggest question is whether AI masters are pro enough for any opportunity that might come up for our music. Thanks! Awesome video!
This was an inspiring video. I've written an albums worth of material and I set out to produce and mix it myself with a view to employing the services of one of many 'amateur' mastering engineers that i've befriended over the years, to finish it off ready for release. However, I wasn't happy with the results that I was getting back, purely because they weren't on the same wavelength as myself and this was all paid work, albeit inexpensive because i don't have much of a budget. So, I set about spending hours and hours watching RUclips videos so that I could learn to do it myself. The problem is, it's taking up far too much of my time and it's generally taking me forever, mainly because every time I learn something new, I find myself going back to the beginning and starting all over again. Sooooo, after watching this video, I'm gonna give LANDR a go (via your link), and see where that takes me. I'll report back with the results. Thanks for the video tips, much appreciated.
Wow, first thank you for sharing your experience 🙏 a lot of these videos happen as small ideas that I hope a few people would get enjoyment out of it. So hearing that this really did help, means the world ❤️ really appreciate you using the code my friend! Content creation is my only form of income, so it helps a ton
Loved seeing you review all tools from different providers, i needed this to make up my mind before going for LANDR, I also feel like LANDR is quite impressionable and one click away from my future albums as I will be completing the mastering alone after several years of searching for a human engineer and being disappointed I’m excited to do take a step forward with LANDR, thank you so much for all your efforts you are so musical 😍😍❤️
This is an amazing video, and very well put together. You definitely deserve more subs. Me personally, as someone who doesn't know much about mastering at all, I prefer LANDR. However Ozone 9 has more customizability and is an actual plugin. Ozone is def my top 2 tho. Again, I suck at music prod, and this vid really helped me pick a service. Thank you! Edit: after doing more research about ozone, I found that ozone 10 came out and it sounds much better than landr, so I will probably steer towards ozone.
I've actually completely made a video doing just that for another company's channel haha it was a really cool concept and interesting video. that was quite a while though so not sure when that will be published though 😅
Wish I saw this prior. I got the yearly by month thinking that I could cancel once I was done. I used MAYBE 3 tracks in 2 months. I am stuck for a whole 10 more months that I may not even need😢
Pro tip for all starving artists. Emastered, listen to the song and record it on screen. I did that just so I could review it with others. Saved me $50 to download.
@@SimulationBeats neither do I. It’s why I ended up purchasing ozone 10 after the free trial. Emastered should allow you to download part of the song for proper review.
I guess bigger artists may have the backing of a label or budget, they may have the affordability if they are known and have gained independance. If you are a new artist and don't have much money, these are a cheaper alternative to get your music sounding better before putting it out there, some music may be put out for free so spending a fortune on it would not be an option.
AI "Mastering" has nothing to do with the process of mastering. It can probably guess some EQ matching and target levels, but from what I can hear, it completely misses the sibilance, low-end control, width, depth. In conclusion: it can measure data and apply some processing to get a similar output data, but has no taste in perceived music.

BandLab's mastering is surprisingly good for being a freebie
Jump to sounds.
BandLab 12:26
eMastered 14:00
Landr 14:39
Ozone 16:00

Superb video.Well done ! I actually enjoy using emastered because I can just use it as much as I want , to help me improve my mixes by just feeding it with the tracks constantly.
I remember back in like 2016 I was trying to make music and I used Emastered, it was like £5.99 a month!
Liked and subscribed
You're mix down was that fire it got you changed.
thank you helped me so much 🐐🔥

Good question. I would love to know too.
Club bounce was dope man
Actually the prices aren’t that bad. Engineers charge $100usd minimum for mastering
this video is exactly what i've been looking for on this subject! thanks man!
Glad you found it helpful! 😄
I can tell how much work went into this video! Very very nicely done 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you so much!!

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled that my video was helpful to you. Wishing you all the success with your future album!
@@SimulationBeats thank you, great engineering skills you have 🔥
Landr had a nice level for the high ends on the hit hats. Not too sharp that hurts your ears
Love your Location❤
High quality video
Hey really appreciate that!
This is gonna help alot
Glad I could help! 😄 hope it all works out for you

Hey I really appreciate you letting me know 😊 It’s always great to hear when I’ve helped someone 🙏
You should have checked the LUFS on each of them (like with youlean or a similar service). great video, LANDR definitely stood out the most to me
Great point!
Is it me or is anyone else getting a lot of sibilance from the AI mastering?
Any updates for converting Suno AI into quality song ? 🙈
I've actually completely made a video doing just that for another company's channel haha it was a really cool concept and interesting video. that was quite a while though so not sure when that will be published though 😅
LANDRN is the best for me..

Wish I saw this prior. I got the yearly by month thinking that I could cancel once I was done. I used MAYBE 3 tracks in 2 months. I am stuck for a whole 10 more months that I may not even need😢

I don't condone stealing products and always recommend supporting the services when possible.

That's beautiful Amen Thank you
Thanks for watching!
@@SimulationBeats you're welcome
all shi aside that song is actually hard asf
HAHA appreciate you
Mirage from Apex Legends its you ?
🙌🏼💪🏼
i tried only landr, made my track louder …thats it
Ozone and LandR are cool.
But others are not good my dude...
I find that eMastered is very aggressive and generates artifacts to be honest.
I can see that! … HEAR that 😅
Agreed! Landr is a winner in my opinion
Like for getting that plan lol
Bro literally aimed for under 20mins
😆 perfect aim too ✌️
I used AI on my tracks
Emastered way much better, if set up correctly
Seems to be a common opinion!
Landr not LNDR 😂
MIDI-rap-shite
Hmm?
Ask yourself this question. How many of top commercial tracks you hear were mastered using one of these online services? The answer is probably NONE.
This question keeps me up at night… and you had the answer all along. Genius
