So glad you got some Q Acoustics to review. We were in the room with you at Expo. Expo convinced me to get Concept 50s. Very happy.
Nemo you are a warrior, I admire your work ethic!
The concept 300 is a beast, very holopgrahic and huge soundstage in the highs, brutally clean sound and natural, very detailed... the cabinet is on another whole level in that price range, pair these with subs and its end game for many
Nice review. The 3030i has some kind of secret sauce in them. My most fun speaker.
i love my 3030i, Q acoustics is awesome!
I remember first hearing the 3050i many years ago and instantly become a big fan. Almost bought the concept 40 coupe of years ago but went with the Kef q950 instead since I got it offered at a good price
i went with the 2050i , and than i loved them so much that i went with the concept 500 lol. no regret.
Hey, another great review. I'm considering these ones or the Emit 10s. Which could be more fatiguing iyo? Both are on the forward side of neutral as you comment. I will go to have a listen to a local dealer but your opinion is needed, please. Thanks for the channel man
Emit 10 treble is much more refined and easier on the ears. 5010 is sharper and needs a little more care with amps to sound it's best. EMIT 10 would be my suggestion for sure!
Thanks for highlighting the lack of a mid-bass bump. How is the rolloff at the bottom of their frequency range? I had a pair of well reviewed speakers that did not rolloff and just reproduced 58-60Hz for frequencies below that range.
that's odd, I don't think I've heard anything like that before, I'd say the roll off on these is typical for a small driver.
Great review. I have to decide between q3010i and 5010 with Marantz Cinema 70s or Denon X2800H. Any suggestion? 😊
I have not heard the q3010i.
Nice. Have seen lots of 5020 reviews but no others for the cheaper 5010s.
I'm a sucker for a small speaker :)
I have the Q Concept 30, you should try this model
ATC SCM lineup next, maybe? Worth a listen for sure.
This is what i want to see from the review: objective overview, and then relative comparison with similar priced speakers.
Also, not sure why other reviewers didn't notice that forward treble, almost only nemo did.
Great job.
Btw, looks like only series 5000 is forward/bright, older one are quite neutral. I have Concept 500 and it's almost recessed at the top. QA is changing their voicing.
really? that's surprising, the 5010 is noticeably bright/forward. Glad you enjoyed the vid!!
i have the concept 500 and i wouldn't call that speaker recessed or smooth in anyway, the tuning is the most natural - neutral - detailed i've hear
Great work!! Do you have un mind rewieving some Acoustic Energy or Amphion speakers?? Thanks amd cheers from Argentina
Amphion doesn't want to work with me so they're out of the picture, AE may be coming in the future but not anytime soon.
your the best ...ty
Great review. With speakers this small on your reviews can you go into dynamics and when they hit their limits e.g. compression. For me, any speaker I own must play well between 85-90db. Btw, I know you compared 6 speakers and thought the Klipsch RP600's would have made the cut due to its price point. ✊🏼
I have not heard the RP600 but most speakers can do 85-90dB, just depends how big the room is, though brighter speakers may start to sound overly aggressive approaching 90dB.
Great comparison. Will Klipsch RP600M V2 better? But Klipsch doesn't look as good as this 5010.
I'm not sure, I have not heard that one yet.
Love my 3050i and 3090i center. Warm but great vocal clarity. Granted I went to them from bose. SVS sub.
Any chance for a KLH Model 3 review? They are on sale right now
maybe one day, I don't have a pair right now though.
Tbh I didn't like the Dynaudio EMIT10s at all when I heard them so picking the 5010s is an easy call! I picked the Klipsch RP600MIIs on sale @$449pr over them. I would like to hear them against those, even the Wharfdale's anniversary 85. No one can test them all! Great review as always! Q Accustics make a quality speaker for the money, you really can't go wrong as you said.
really? The newer version of the Emit? I loved them!
@@NemoPropaganda Maybe it was the store setup, their audio source etc. Even the salesperson said he was really surprised when he heard the RP600MIIs next to them. Much darker and not as detailed. I heard the Focal 806's right next to them too! I walked in thinking the Focals or the Dynaudios when I walked into the store with my budget, color me dumbfounded... The sales guy never really got the chance to compared them all at once. The Emit10's were the first speaker he showed me too! Compared to the Focals and the Klipsch it wasn't even close. But everyone is different! Its why love this hobby!
I felt the same about the Emit 10. @@whocares0503
The treble floating out into the room was what i liked about my concept 20's, found it hard to get used to others thst stay back against the speakers, though I'll have to now with my new 1723 monitors lol.
I just got the 1723 also but they're still in the box, how are you liking them?
@@NemoPropaganda too be honest apart from the forward treble bit I'm quite liking them, and with certain material the treble does get a bit more airy it just seems to be dependent on source. Overall though the treble is more refined than the q's and the tone seems better with music and dynamics are a lot better.
The bass is nice and articulate with nice punch and overall sound is full which I'm not sure my neighbours are liking lol.
Dispersion isn't quite as wide as the q's but I was expecting that after looking at the measurements on the arendal website.
Actually, after writing all this down I think I appreciate them a bit more for what they have gave me. Lol.
Oh and don't go chucking them at anyones heads, they're built like tanks.
@@slyfoxx8540 nice dude! yeah, all arendal stuff is built crazy good!
@@NemoPropaganda also gonna be ordering the centre and surrounds as soon as they have them in as well which might change the dispersion a bit, haven't used a centre yet. And did have the 1s but wasn't as powerful down low as I liked with my pb2000 pro so may be trying a jl as a certain someone was saying how brutal they were lol.
@@slyfoxx8540 yeah, sealed subs never gonna have that low end thickness that vented models have. Is the RSL 12S too big?
Hi... which on3 is better q acoustic 3020i....or monitor audio 50 for home Theater...thanks
I have not heard either.
Will you please review the KRK S12.4 12" Generation 4 Powered Studio Subwooferive been looking at this sub but can’t find much on this sub
studio gear is generally not recommended for home use, that subwoofer specifically would be considered a very poor performer compared to other home subwoofers, it's a vented 12" that can only get down to 26hz and only has 200 watts. Those are embarassingly low specs for the money, why not just grab something like an SVS PB1000 Pro?
@@NemoPropaganda because I’m running a fully balanced system was going to pair the sub with focal alpha twin evo and it’s not for home theatre it’s mainly for music and gaming.
@@waldowsxxghostxx8577 even for music & gaming you want good extension, personally I do not recommend this, I don't see any benifit in using XLR with a sub unless it's really far away, even if your amp only has XLR out I'd rather use an XLR to rca adapter and use a good home sub before I used a studio sub.
@@NemoPropaganda I looked at and watched reviews on the pb1000 pro and il consider it main reason is I’m curious about controlling the sub with a app
@@NemoPropaganda right I looked at my options and il wait until I’m ready to upgrade but that sub I’m pretty curious on playing with it
do they come with protecting grills?
I can't remember, I've already returned them, I'm sure you could check on the mfg website.
Large driver little bass with a 2 way? It’s to minimize cone movement. Klipsch heritage series does this to the extreme
to what end though? I feel like anyone buying the MA Bronze 100 would expect more bass from its 8" driver.
@@NemoPropaganda yeah it’s not a common compromise for that reason. Some of those Klipsch Heritage speakers have 12 inch drivers that are rolling off hard at 50hz…it’s confusing to listen to 😀
Wow, given the look of the thumbnail I didn’t expect the speakers to be that tiny. 😮
yeah, it's the smallest of the lineup.
Tried the 5010's. I felt they were ok but did nothing great. (In my situation to my ear, ofc)
nothing wrong with that my bro!
Your digressions aren't really digressions. They're awesome. Start talking about cake, then you're actually going left. PS, my Ls50 Metas are in the shop getting wrapped gloss brown metallic. Gold cones. Gonna be sick.
ahahahaha, next video will feature a 5 minute side chat about cake!
4,5 inch midwoofer ?! Instant fail - and for so many reasons.
how so? there are plenty of shockingly good small driver speakers out there, PSB Imagine Mini, Silverline Minuet Supreme Plus, Mon Acoustics Super Mon Mini, etc... Also QAcoustics does offer the larger 5020 model.
Hey, I agree, they're all very, very good - in a 10 sqm room or in nearfield- and constantly losing the battle with the laws of physics : bass extension, dynamics, sound authority. @@NemoPropaganda
you can couple them with a sub and in some case have better overall result: a more defined high and middle helped by low size and some low frequency that no bookshelves can ever reach.
Of course it became a 3 piece setup but has it own dignity.
Add dali opticon 1, superb on deaktop/Nearfield which also works well in a small room...which is what its designed to do.
