    Great Video Kruno! Regarding the last section of your video. When I create macros by importing the step files. I like to do this step first before I unite them.

      Absolutely right Taylor, it's great when you have the opportunity to color the Layers before uniting them.

    For advanced users (like me): 1. I export the currently part to a STEP file or 2. I download the STEP file from the manufactuer.
    Then I edit the step file using Autodesk Inventor Professional 2024 which allows me to color every single part of the MAIN part (like faces or edges and even meshes). Then I export/save back to a STEP file then I remake the macro within Eplan 😁
    No adjustments on the layer settings and I can just color individual parts 😎
    Also a beneficial feature of my method: I can use a much wider color spectrum! Because Eplan support only some basic colors (pallet).

    Hi Kruno, can you create a video on moving and positioning enclosure parts in a Rittal cabinet, ie: I use a lot of the larger Rittal VX-SE style cabinets and often have trouble moving the mounting panel position forward or back from its original position. I also run into problems when trying to place internal enclosure accessory parts like punch rails, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Kruno, another great video. Just one question; If you change the colour of a 3D macro in the Macro project, will this update the colour of a device that has already been placed in the 3D layout space or do you have to delete the device and reinsert it back into the 3D layout space?

    • @UncleKruno
      @UncleKruno  Год назад

      Hello Earle.
      Thank you for your Question.
      The functionally "Update Part placement" should work:
      www.eplan.help/en-US/Infoportal/Content/Plattform/2023/Content/htm/cabinetgui_h_artikelabmessungenaktualisieren.htm?Highlight=update%20part%20placement
      Unfortunately, it looks like this functionality doesn't apply color to changes of color.
      Therefore it looks like you would have to delete the device and place it again.

      How to edit 3d part in eplan??

  • @jsedmonds256
    @jsedmonds256 Год назад +1

    Important: whatever color you choose for a united multi-layer or single layer 3D macro is the color that is used to draw the macro in a model view. So if you select white than you might not see it on a white background or when printed.
