You are doing great work Uncle, really waiting for you to start any kind of Project for Industrial Control Panel and start EPLAN from Scratch to the end including everything like drawings with EPLAN and Panel design with Pro Panel of the same project with all the components and devices being used. In this way it will be a great help to understand all the complex stages of a project and EPLAN as well. I wish!!! if you could start that series of videos with one video on daily basis, thank you so much.
Could you make a video on Automatic Interpretation? I was testing it out on enclosures of different depths without much success. The points and mounting surfaces are off and correcting them is more of a hassle then starting form scratch.
Hello Chad. Thank you for your question. One of the most important points on having a successful automatic interpretation is to have a template (source device) with a very similar structure. Like how does the raw data look like after step import, compared to is the finished product after the interpretation. Often cad models , specially when it comes to modular enclosures have a lot of mechanical details... which we may or may not need in pro panel, then we may need to unite or delete them for simplification before applying the automatic interpretation. If we still aint happy with the result.... maybe creating one from scratch is the solution, and then using it as the source for further automatic interpretations. Hope this helps Best wishes Kruno
Hi. Great work. Congratulations! Is it possible to use the automatic interpretation tool considering a Rittal panel model but for another manufacturer? I'm trying to use it but the functions of the parts are not recognized correctly after doing this from the imported step file.
Thank you for the lesson, when I add the shield, I need to add horizontal and vertical crossbars for the automatic machine.... please explain how to attach them, they are not attached to the surface of the panel, they are always turning...thank you very much
That is wonderful Kruno, I made and use it, can you please tell me after you did use define placement area instruction, there was a green pad under the enclosure, for me this green pad not coming, do I need to active specific soft ware setting for it. I do appreciate it if you answer me
Hello Farhad. Thanks for your question. If you cannot see the Green surface( or pad) as you define the placement area. Then please check if you have the Type of Project property set to "Macro Project." If this property is set to Schematic Project, then the green surface wont appear. Hope this helps. Kruno
First of all! Congratulations! I've noticed in your video you're using EPLAN 2024 😄 Could you please make an in-depth video: what are the new features and functions? And ofc the benefits compared to the older version for example 2023 and 2022?
Hallo sir. Thank you for your Feedback. You can find a comprehensive overview of the news of version 2024 here: ruclips.net/video/I-N2H_up95A/видео.html The previous video on this channel is about one of the new functionalities: ruclips.net/video/SMM5WoJ4jNg/видео.html
Hello. Thank you for your question. Under Insert > Placement Area > Define You can select a different surface if you selected the wrong one. Under Insert > Placement Area > Rotate You can rotate the component placement around the Z-axis. Under Insert > Placement Area > Move You can move the position of placement area, along the Z-Axis. Under Insert > Placement Area > Turn around You can flip the component placement
Hi Mr Kruno I follow you in RUclips Thank you for the so practical videos 💐 I have question about wiring reports Can Eplan generate a report about Total wire consumption with detail like size, color ... ?
Hello Sir. Appreciate your question. I just tried it out, and it works , you can in eplan create connection lists , filter for each color (or part number) and calculate the total wire consumption for it :)

How did you insert (original 880600)
Is it added as a micro first?
Thanks for your question.
Yes to speed up the demonstration I inserted the Original Part in the Layout space first :)

Congratulation! I have one question. If you have defined the placement area, how you can change the position when you are wrong?
Hello. Thank you for your question.
Under Insert > Placement Area > Define
You can select a different surface if you selected the wrong one.
Under Insert > Placement Area > Rotate
You can rotate the component placement around the Z-axis.
Under Insert > Placement Area > Move
You can move the position of placement area, along the Z-Axis.
Under Insert > Placement Area > Turn around
You can flip the component placement
